Just finished ep 13 and I love it. Except for the kid (no spoiler), everything is ok for me. I specifically like that there is no extreme bullying scenes unlike in previous eps (at least they did not show it in length).
Anyway, Lee Hong Nae nailed it as the demon possessed man, he acts so well, hope to see more of him.
This is such a grand production. I m hooked by the pace of the story and how the plot unfolds, pretty straightforward, but done with elegance. I can't help but compare this to my recently dropped Legend of Fei (I got bored after 15 eps). There is that kind of magic with Zang Zi Yi, she mesmerizes the screen with her presence.
After ep 10, I am still asking myself what's my reason of continuing to watch this series. Well. 6 eps to go, I will just go with the ride, but still...
Just finished it. it is just ok, not that good, but not bad either. The story is somewhat draggy at times, but it moves forward nonetheless, and it is watchable.
The acting is ok. But I have to commend two actors who I find portrayed interestingly well. One is Su Yuan whose expressions show he has great acting range. And the other is Bei Xiaorong who is so good as the autistic character. I am seeing him too in Dear Mayang Street and he is is funny there. Amazingly good actor.
I love this series, but after ep 18, I feel the plot progresses so slowly for comfort. I love slow development at times, as it squeezes bare emotions, but this time, it feels a little draggy. But the acting and the story is excellent, I am constantly thinking who did it!
Back to bullying again. Anyway, it is understandable on the way the story progresses, but I am losing some love on this series. But it is still good though, just the kind of anticipation I have before is not there anymore.
I love the Chinese version, but the more eps I watch in this version, the more I like this more and more. I especially like the slow development of the characters esp the King and Mr. Queen towards each other. The transition is so believably funny and genuine. Plus the acting of course and the intricate plotlines.
Well, I don't know how many times I watched the behind the scenes when the characters irritate me to the bones! I just love their camaraderie on the set and that takes me back to reality. Love this series!
So after the first ep (which usually makes or breaks a series), this version is too fast-paced (as with most Kdramas). I love the Chinese version, so I feel like I will be missing the slow character build up which made me fall in love with the original. And the old town community setting in the original is profound that it lingers in mind.
Anyway, I am continuing and see how this goes. But Wu Bo Song character is also a stand out in the original, so I am hoping the SML's take on the character is also good.
Just watched the first 10 episodes, and I must say I am loving it. I always trust my own taste when watching a drama and too fast-paced (like in many Kdramas) will make me confused and too slow (like many Cdramas) get me bored. But this one hooked me in because of the natural pacing. The story is building up and the acting is ok, plus those camera angles.
Anyway, with just 1/5 of the episodes out, I am hoping for more stories to unfold, especially extraordinary deeds by the FL so that the term Legend in the title can be explained.
After ep 3, I feel that bullying is a so exaggerated in Kdramas, it happens everywhere of course, but it is so over the top here, violence, thru words and actions, even the ML. And because of their idol mentality, the concept of physical appearance and beauty is so pronounced esp in this series.
These are just my observations, but of course as the title implies, there would be a turn-around in future episodes, (hopefully). But still, I can't help but wonder how deeply rooted these concepts are in South Korean culture.
Well this is short 6 eps, but after ep 5, so many things have already happened. It is packed, light and and heavy with sensitive topics being touched. This series is great, from the story to the acting. No unnecessary scenes.
After dropping a few Cdramas after the first few eps, I am hooked by this one. The first 2 eps showed a lot of potential, storywise. The pairing of the leads is good, the ML's character is pushy with a soft side and the FL looks so charming! They look good together. Hope this continues till the end.
Pretty great first 2 eps. The intensity is building up and we viewers are kept wondering who is it. I have my own theory, but rather keep it to myself. (hope to be spoiled of the novel's ending though).
Anyway, after years of working together, there is already that rapport and unspoken chemistry between Max and Tul. Waiting or the 3rd ep!
After ep 3, this series gives me smiles and laughs, the acting is natural (unlike those robotic acting in recent Thai series) and the story is fun. The interaction between characters are cool. I didn't expect that I will like this this much!
Anyway, Lee Hong Nae nailed it as the demon possessed man, he acts so well, hope to see more of him.
Waiting for the subbed ep 7.

Waiting for subbed ep 19...
