God, your theory! I actually felt pretty okay about them breaking up, because clearly they had a lot on their plates in that stage of their life. He's still so young and inexperienced, she had a lot of emotional baggage and she needed to heal. To just be together and touch each other's life even for a short while were good enough, I think. Based on some BTS from both seasons, I was always under the impression that he really loved working with veteran actors like Han Suk-kyu and Jin Kyung. That might be part of the reason why.
