How did Suzuki followed them to the dream park after getting freaking stabbed and the little action scene….…
But you mean with all the danger and security he had around, he couldn't even put a couple of guys on Misa and his sister at the funeral???? That was too much of a plot hole for me.
And I dislike how helpless Misa continues to be. Jiwon had the common sense to check on her potential illness herself, to invest her money, and to learn self-defense. Misa was all like I want to take care of myself blah blah blah ...but did nothing to show she actually could.
I read the Webtoon and watched the Kdrama, both of which I loved. I'm on episode 3 of the Japanese version and it's just not giving the same thing.
It seems a little less fleshed out...like people's motivations are not convincing. I also don't like that she doesn't display enough disgust at the two people who killed her. In the K version, you can tell at every point she hasn't forgotten for one minute just what they did. In this version, she seems too complacent. It didn't make sense how she didn't try to even break up with him when she first came back. In the K version, she has enough proof that things are going to happen anyways, plus she saw how unhinged he would be if she just straight tried to break up. I didn't like her makeover, I thought she looked better before. Her after-makeover fashion also left something to be desired. In addition, the K version was also somewhat comic and more dramatic. This one seems more like just drama....which I guess is just a preference thing.
But to qualify all of this, I'm only on the 3rd episode, but I'll see how I feel after watching more. And I'm sure there's differences just based on the culture difference as well
However, recently while watching some other things, I realised some decision-making late in the Drama by Minglan…
I just told myself that she had that ability/cunning the whole time but her strong belief in the principles her father instilled in her kept those tendencies at bay. When she lost that, she lost the barrier. However, I don't disagree that a lot was still unrealistic. Same with stuff Yingluo could accomplish too. Some of it was super unrealistic, but since I wanted her to win, I didn't question too much 😅

Omg I hate when they dumb down a smart female lead out of the blue...even a villain. Yeah, they did it once or twice with Yingluo, but generally, she stayed on the up, so I was fine with it
It's on a similar level to both of them - it's a non-Palace story, more serious and slower-paced than Yanxi, but…
I think I enjoyed Yanxi a little more than Empresses, but you're suggesting Nirvana in Fire as better than all? Well that's an exciting prospect. Though these things are pretty subjective. I remember I was excited to watch The Untamed because EVERYBODY was raving about it. 7 episodes in, I couldn't get into it. It wasn't bad or anything, it just didn't capture my attention like I expected
I read a couple of reviews on this drama and went in with low expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised and binged the first 4 episodes in one night. Yes, it was a little cliche, but I still enjoyed it. I didn't understand why I saw negative reviews. It was a solid 8.5 for me until somewhere past the halfway point. Then I understood. I've been in a smart female lead era, and this pretty much goes against that. Plus using the most cliche of cliches??????? Yeah, I'll rate it an 8 only because it had the ability to take me to my binging days in the beginning.
I watched this drama 2 years ago and remember thinking it was boring when I first started watching it. Boy was I wrong. Excited to rewatch. Probably next year so I can forget some more stuff lol
ahh just finished watching this drama after recovering after Vincenzo, and the first few episodes didn't really…
I haven't watched it since it aired in 2015. Can't believe it's almost 10 years ago now. I remember loving it, but needing an episode or two to get into it. Thinking of rewatching, but worried my 10-year older self won't like it as much
Instead of giving us these stalker vibes because he simply used to have a crush on her and missed his chance with…
When I read the webtoon, I felt the same. Especially since they didn't reveal that he also time traveled until much later. He was really giving intense/stalker vibes
OMG are you me? Because I agree with every single one of your points! My initial rating was 8.5 (mostly because…
After I wrote this comment, I went on Tiktok and literally the first video I saw was a girl talking about how as a people pleaser, she will ALWAYS rather do what the other person wants to do because she is selfish. She needs the satisfaction of knowing the other person is enjoying themselves. She will never be happy if she is doing what she picks because the whole time, she'll be wondering if the other person is happy or is enjoying themselves, which makes her not enjoy herself. It's a selfless selfishness. Man, the internet keeping tabs on everything we do and that algorithm algorithming a little too well.
I think they should have had Yae fight more for Takumi. And yes, they should have shown us her feelings when they were younger. Because I, too, wasn't even sure she liked him either until almost the end. They made it look like she could take or leave him....which is how she acted till the end. What if he hadn't come to the church? What would she have done then? And I really dislike how they planned his wedding without him. I'm sure he didn't mind too much because he loved her that much, but that's exactly my problem. Taking advantage of his unwavering love.
And I'm a little on the fence about him not telling his friends about the fake marriage. I know he didn't want them to be accomplices to his lie, but they expressly told him they didn't mind. I just know it would have really hurt my feelings if I was Remi or Masaki (or even Kento)
The biggest lesson that ALL drama FemaleLeads need to learn is how to say “He’s mine, back tf off Looney Haux”…
OMG are you me? Because I agree with every single one of your points! My initial rating was 8.5 (mostly because of the ML's cuteness), but I dropped it to somewhere between 7.5-8 because of all the stuff you mentioned. How did Yae stand so firm in front of everyone else but crumble in front of the 10 second ex??? I'm just going to assume it wasn't truly because of the ex but because she felt as if she didn't "deserve" to be that happy. I would have kind of understood it if she thought Takumi didn't like her, BUT HE TOLD HER, and she was still acting weird. Also, hard agree with them not keeping in contact all this while. That seemed dumb. Not only on his part, but on hers too and the other bestie The 10 second ex thing was so unrealistic. If she really believed they were married, why would she think her sob story would make any kind of difference? Unless she knows the kind of person Yae is....which is also super unrealistic in my opinion. That level of people-pleasing definitely needs therapy. The whole fake wedding thing annoyed me. She could have just talked to him without staging that whole thing. Most of the last episode annoyed me actually. But his smile when she said he's the one she wants to make a family with....I kind of forgave them. I'm a sucker for how cute he can be.
