Sentimental and sweet. Suspend your disbelief, ignore some loopholes, don't expect a masterpiece, and you will probably enjoy this. It had a cool concept with an interesting female lead and the ending wasn't absolutely butchered like they tend to be in fantasy kdramas. 7.5/10 from me.

Yang Zi emphasizing how attached she is to her character is a very good sign. She said she felt the same about her Battle of Changsha and Ashes of Love characters and those are her best dramas. Ancient Love Song is my favorite drama of 2023 so far but this could possibly top the list. I'm soooo excited.

Sorry that girl fans are more enthusiastic. If more guys supported and watched dramas then male-centric ones would be more common. But they don't so they're going to make and fund what's popular.

Please tell me they at least filmed it all together so it's not like Joy of Life where we have to wait years

I loved FSF in Story of Minglan, one of my all time favorite male leads. Xukai is good too, I really liked him in Ancient Love Poetry. My favorite young actor is definitely Zhang Xincheng though.

Right?? Like, they styled her really well but also her acting was so convincing. Just slight changes in her mannerisms and voice but she really did feel like a different age each time, I was very impressed!

They're kids pretending to be adults. They don't have the means to take care of themselves or the baby. They made a "plan" that included having their fathers pay for them to have a place to raise the child. When she's in college and the teen boy is working morning to night, who's watching the baby? The grandparents are now responsible for taking care of their irresponsible teenage kids and the grandchild. It's immature, unrealistic, and not romantic in the slightest.

Romance is there but it's not steamy. They have a bond where they love and respect each other. As for skinship, it's not that kind of drama. There is one kiss on the cheek but that's it.

From the trailer the costumes, lighting, dubbing, etc. all seem just so...bland. Is it worth watching? It just seems like a very generic drama from what I've seen, but looks can be deceiving.
