tbh as a movie version this is equally as good as the drama.
I liked the Wei Wei in here much more, she was more expressive and outgoing and the graphic effects in the movie are just on another level.
but you get to know the characters better in the drama, what is logical since it's much longer.
aaaand the kiss was much better, sorry yang yang but zheng shuang was basically just a door when you kissed her. a suprised door.
I am not sure if Shin Se Kyung is the right choice if Nam Joo Hyuk is the lead. I question that they will look good next to each other.
but I still love them both, so I will definitely watch this.
Like it's not really good. but once you started you can't stop. It's just so suprisingly shocking how they actually air this manga adaption in Japan as an anime AND a drama.
The heartbreaking thing is that So Joon is so good in playing the boyfriend that he even convinced me. I was squeeling when they first kissed and then when they sat on his couch. He was so charming that I almost genuinely believed he liked her.
I really cannot wait for him to fall in love with her. Hopefully before he screws up and she finds out the truth because I wanna have my lovey-dovey scenes.
and thank god Song Ma Rin commented on his beautiful nose.
normally I am let down when I have high expectations based on other people's liking but this was sooooooooo good. it was nearly perfect. I didn't know I needed a series about #girllove and friendship. the romance was nice and well done but I am glad that in the end it's the girls that were so precious and how they bonded so strongly over time. love it.
after 3 months I finally got myself to finish the last episode. since I was already very aggressive watching from ep 17, I just couldn't bear with this but now I had enough time to prepare myself for whatever ending and I gotta say: it's not nearly as bad as I expected it to be.
I mean it's still the saddest ending for someone who tried being good throughout the series (and I say day even though I have watched Cruel City) but I guess at some point you couldn't avoid it anymore and I am just glad it's over now and I don't have to continue watching them suffer
Though, I kind of understand now why people want a second season. personally I don't wanna have it set in joseon era again but it would be funny if So had to learn how to be modern and live with "Hae Soo" who can show legs and shoulders and all of that. I'd totally be in for that. And I also hope that the worst thing that could happen to all the princes (that wouldn't be princes anymore) was jail. especially for that princess bitch.
I am spoiling myself so much in the comments section but I don't even care, 'cuz I already don't enjoy watching this anymore. Only my loyalty keeps me here.
I don't get why they create so strong love triangles when it is so obvious with whom she will end up with? I mean I know it will be SunWoo just because of the promotion pictures.
(though I had this rule that the female lead always ends up with the one she kisses first, applied to a lot of dramas and worked. but I am still sure Ji Dwi will be alone. probably better though, because who wants a dumb queen?=
I wanna love this drama for Minho's sake but I just can't. The love story is so boring. I am only at ep 9 and all Ah Ro does is crying an pitying herself and being kind of dumb. I thought we were over female leads like this. I don't even know how she fell so hard for someone she thought was her brother just because he is handsome?
and how come she is like ALWAYS in the hwarang house, eventhough females aren't allowed? Like I get she is the "doctor" but she is ALWAYS there and doing everythin but caring for patients.
and why do female leads never fall for the guys that actually pursue them? I mean that forced kiss from Ji Dwi wasn't really that cool but in every other aspect he was perfect.
Sometimes I wish Ah Ro would fall upon a tragic death but then there'd only be more unnecessary flashbacks. It's not that I hate her, I just find her role so incredibly unimportant, she only creates trouble. In the beginning it was cute but than it was just ugh, got it - I am not like Ji Dwi, who wants to kill everybody who makes you cry - I only wanna kill you.
The only thing interesting is the hwarang team.
I even came to like taehyun's role.
Minho and Do Ji Han though are what keep me watching this. Like I am totally in for the bromance. even Soo Ho's "love story" with the queen and Ban Ryu's little love with Soo Ho's sister are better love stories than that of the main couple (heck even twilight is)
Like I was so shocked that I started laughing and crying at the same time.
This is a love story and it is funny. Really don't believe the other comments. It's just that they take these genres into a new dimension.

Kento is not the greates actor too but he did impress me a lot in Orange.
I believe I can't say goodbye
I think about this movie every night and day
Scratch my head and lie awake.
