The original source is the light novel after which is adapted into manga. Both the anime and the live action basically cover Volumes 1 & 2. of the light novel. So far, volume 7 is available in Japan while the English-translated version for volume 5 should come out this month.

The movie is based on Volumes 1 & 2 of the light novel. They are getting married in later volume (can't remember which) so hopefully there's going to be a sequel!

He IS tall. If I'm not mistaken he's 1.86m. I got curious and looked into a few other Japanese actors in their 20s. Found out that on average they're like 1.71m - 1.78m. Mio Imada is around 1.57m. Love their height difference. It's similar to the visuals in the manga.

9/27 is the date for DV & Bluray release and also for paid streaming on U-NEXT in Japan (no subtitles, though). The official website NEVER said that it's international release or anything like that.

What do you mean "they pushed it back to 3/17" ? The movie WAS released in Japan on 3/17 this year. They did not push anything back and they certainly did not 'play' anything.

9/27 is the day of the DVD & Bluray release (no subtitles available, unfortunately). The official website NEVER said that it was the date for international release or anything like that.
