Kaku Kento was awarded the The "Newcomer Award" Elan d'or Award at the 45th Elandor Awards (2020) in February but posted on his staff's twitter that he had only received the trophy a few days ago! Kaku Kento was awarded for his work in Kyou Kara Ore Wa, Hanzawa Naoki 2, AI Collapse and Nippon Noir, congratulations! He's looking forward to deliver the best works he possibly can this year as well.
Note that the newcomer award is given to those who have been selected for their fresh and outstanding performances in their works for the year thus are regarded as promising, new and upcoming actors. As such, this has nothing to do with whether they are indeed newcomers.

I'll admit it, I was taken aback by the ending. Not because Kudo Kankuro is not known for springing unexpected…
Can you go into detail about the signs you mentioned, I'm not very familiar with noh as I've only learned about it through this drama, the Sumidagawa and Kangoku no Ohimesama stories? This drama is already a 10/10 for me so I would love to appreciate this drama more than I already have.
Episode 3 was a really good one, my favorite one so far. I like the drama is slowing down more like they were…
With Saki's mom's editor and the new novelist character being introduced, has me a bit worried because there's so many characters to keep up with and it looks like every character matters since they will go through character development (and backstories) so I hope the writers know what they're doing so that the episodes aren't so filled with so much going on that it becomes messy and complicated. EP2 and this episode was well-paced though.
I have no idea why that novelist character needs to be in this story considering we have sooo many characters already but I digress
Koichi wanting to marry Saki after saving her when he first meets her and seeing her smile that he felt like he must've gotten into his job to protect her was so cute and romantic!
Episode 3 was a really good one, my favorite one so far. I like the drama is slowing down more like they were in EP2 and I do like that they're both starting to understand each other better now, defending each other and opening up to each other too. So happy for Saki's mom too, she seems content with living her new life and seeing Koichi encourage her and her tearing up had me tear eyed as well, lol. There were also a few cute moments like them lying on bed looking at Saki's phone together, Koichi wanting to cook for Saki etc. And Koichi is still hilarious, snorting like crazy when he's laughing his ass off and doing stand ups, Eita is so funny in this drama.
And that ending!! The way Saki drops the "I'm still your wife" line (I was hoping she'd say it when Koichi asked "why do you console me?" during the rain scene and it felt so satisfying when she said it here), the way Kenshi Yonezu's Pale Blue song came in after that, the heart balloons flying... the chills it gave me at that moment, wow. Kenshi Yonezu's Pale Blue (and especially his voice) is so perfect for this drama. OSTs for dramas this season have been on point.
It was very good comedy and I liked it 9/10. But I was expecting a bit different story and ending. I would rather…
I feel like those two would feel very forced. Makio has no affection towards Minami sensei unlike the other way around and her becoming a yakuza boss or Makio becoming a PE teacher would feel sudden and out of place.
So is Hikari and Jun, Hikari has no affection towards Jun but Jun has actually shown interest towards her. It would've been nice to have a season two ;_;
I just finished the first episode and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed school j dramas from the 90s and 2000s.…
Same lol, I barely recognize any of the actors playing students either but I'd imagine that's how it was in 2005 lol, I don't think Yamapi, Gakki, Masami back then were as popular as they are now lol, fingers crossed they're the next big rising stars maybe? Though I can appreciate at least they casted actual young actors as opposed to actors in their late 20s which is common for some reason.
Sano Shiro quits from TBS Spring 2021 drama "Rikokatsu" due to his hospitalisation for renal function disorder; Hirata Mitsuru will take over his role as Mizuguchi Takeshi i.e. Saki's (Kitagawa Keiko) father from Ep 4 onwards;
Sano apologised for his inability to continue with the drama and pledged to focus on his treatment so as to recover soon; also expressed his gratitude to Hirata for taking over his role at such short notice and thanked the cast and staff for working with him during this period
https://i.imgur.com/c0nbcoQ.jpg in opening of EP1 we see Nagisa Mio leaving home and they showed a picture of Kamoi Tadashi with his wife(?) and a ring inside of a shell. in EP2 when they show a flashback for Rintaro at the elevator scene, they specifically showed Rintaro's mom's ring.Any guesses?
I saw some minor complaints on Twitter about the trio's jokes not being funny.. but isn't that the point? They're…
I think someone should rewrite the synopsis maybe?
Haruto Takaiwa, Shunta Asabuki and Junpei Minowa are members of unpopular comedy trio Macbeth, that ends up dissolving due to low popularity. They always gather at a family restaurant where Rihoko Nakahama works as a waitress. A lady who dropped out of her company and stays in her shell while working at a family restaurant. Tsumugi Nakahama is Rihoko Nakahama’s younger sister, who works in the night city without a goal. This is the story of five young people in their late 20s who try to overcome their great failures in life.
Episode 1 was great, this realistic slice of life drama reminds me a lot of Ore no Hanashi wa Nagai and Mondai…

Episode 1 was great, this realistic slice of life drama reminds me a lot of Ore no Hanashi wa Nagai and Mondai no Aru Restaurant. Definitely looking forward to watching more of this.
The cast were already impressive on the first episode especially Nakano Taiga's performance.
he seems continuing his music career, but won't return to acting soon.
Yup, he did mention he wanted to work more "behind the scenes" when it comes to music. He didn't specifically say anything about stopping acting so never say never.
and it looks like he's enjoying his chill life at the moment based on his IG posts so I'm happy for him!
