I didn't expect that kiss at the end at all and both of them even leaned into it too! It was funny seeing them trying to shrug it off lol, they convinced me for a second that they didn't mean it and didn't think much of it until they quickly got into their rooms lol.
Episode 2 was another good one, mainly focusing on Shun's backstory and Mashiba's future. The visuals in this drama are so warm and vibrant, I like the cinematography in this drama and Gen Hoshino's Fushigi helps compliment this warm drama as well, it's very fitting with the drama.
and the cherry blossoms were so pretty! And the food as well of course!
I wonder how many noticed the awkward pause in EP3 just when Mio and Aika arrived at the river to do their survey on the water there? I think they forgot to cut that part because they were just standing there.. and then started to walk afterwards and started their dialogue lol.
That clip of Nagisa in a dolphin outfit lol. Rintaro looking worried, calling Nagisa by her first name and flashback…
Oh, I talked about that in a comment below if you look for it but long story short,
*possible major spoilers*
Rintaro & Mio's backstory might be based on the Urashima Taro folktale and Rintaro is the Urashima Taro that meets Otohime, the undersea princess aka possibly Nagisa. The name Mio, 海音 has Oto in it, which is homophone to Otohime, the princess under sea who Urashima Taro met. The drama has only hinted at Urashima Taro with such names like Eitaro, Kotaro, Rintaro, Taro so far but the Urashima Taro folktale is clearly mentioned (a turtle can be seen, etc) in the recently released manga. Give the folktale a read if you have some free time haha

Right?? Even when he accompanied her after the power was back after that elevator scene in EP2 and holding her close to him in public, he's not afraid to show affection~
and with Rintaro supposedly having a child, Rintaro kissing Nagisa & Nagisa confessing she isn't a human.. things are picking up fast and I'm all for it!

Rintaro looking worried, calling Nagisa by her first name and flashback to his tragic past, I'm guessing his mother tragically drowned trying to get the ball back from the sea? and he's traumatized after seeing his mother not coming back. I like it's getting clearer in every episode that Rintaro does actually care about the sea and it's nice to see that he does understand and pretty much is on board with everything Nagisa has to say when it comes to sea. I think at this point, Nagisa does understand that Rintaro does care about the sea as well.
Turns out Kotaro's real reasoning for hiring Nagisa and it was to distract Rintaro and he's very much a money-oriented person. And I think we can all agree Youtuber characters in any drama are the absolute most annoying characters to ever have in a show.
I also really like that Rintaro's already warmed up to Nagisa, he really isn't a tsundere lol. It's clear as day that he is kind and does care for her.
Another good episode, while this drama seems like it's your usual light romcom (with some hints of fantasy), they do cover and bring awareness of environmental issues and occasionally share ecology & ecosystem knowledge in every episode which is not often talked about in dramas. While I'm liking both aspects of the show, I think even if you're not into the romance part of the story here, the main plot here is intriguing on its own too.
I would advise anyone watching this with the subs from ECOTVSubs to be very cautious. His subs are full of typos…
It's also disrespectful and harsh to call out subbers like that, so much for being a "true j-drama fan". Comments like these why some are quitting. Been relying on their subs for a few shows now and they're fine.
- An entire episode without Hibiki really proved how much he was carrying the show. It was lifeless without him.-…
Few commenters are saying the story hasn't changed all that much and the story basically resets and is at where season 1 started. Make of that what you will and questions like who's the Min-jun lookalike and Todoroki & Hibiki's backstory aren't explained. Feels like they're just dragging this one out for the upcoming season three.
Looking forward to the next episode~

if anyone missed the Yuki Kaji cameo in EP3, his voice can be heard when Nagisa and Aika were doing the survey on the river :) https://twitter.com/deep_ntv/status/1386978893312061441
when will back number's Kaito song be released, it's so comforting and fitting for this show/story ;_;
It looks really fun!
