I almost gave up at one point because there were too many scenes and I had trouble fitting them into the 3min30 of the song (as I wanted to use an OST from the drama). But in the end, I am satisfied with the result. It concludes their story well and it makes me want to watch the drama even more from the start :D

He definitely failed as a father, as an uncle and as a leader.
But I appreciate that we understand a bit the reasons behind his attitude rather than seeing him remain a bully, mistreating his wife and distrusting his adopted son for no good reason.

I'm more specialized in fmv which retrace the story of characters chronologically. Which is a problem for me for my next video because it will be complicated to do it chronologically and I am struggling to find how to edit all this, lol.

Khatun betrayed him by murdering his brother for power. Having become suspicious and paranoid, he distances his nephew from the harmful influence of his mother and fears the bond between the 2 brothers. If Khatun could have committed such a crime, why wouldn't Ashile Sun do it? He also comes from the central plains and is not related by blood to the Khan.
Even though he was wrong, I appreciated understanding why, overnight, Khan had stopped being a loving father and made the brothers hate each other.

I am French so there is a nuance between informal and formal language in the French subtitles. In my opinion, they use a formal language until episode 15 (because until then, even if they were friends, there was a certain distance between them) but from the taking of the city, they speak in an informal language because, as you say, their relationship becomes aggressive and then friendly / relaxed.
But it seems that in Chinese the nuance is not as important as in my language.

Sun's flirtation is literally killing me. The worst ? I'm sure he's not even aware of what he's doing at first or what it means, it comes naturally to him.

I watch on Viki and they all translated their dialogue to "vous" which bothers me a lot.
Yes for "Sun" is because with google translation, it translates the first name Sun as if it were the word "sun" which in French means "soleil".
That's why if I watch on youtube, I watch with English subtitles. Because the French version on youtube is not a real translation but an automatic translation which creates a lot of nonsense and mistakes.

Indeed, the drama is so good that even if the translation is sometimes uneven, it's still great.

I'm French and the translation puts "vous" in each of their conversation while I had the impression that from their alcoholic night in episode 5, they were talking familiarly, so "tu". But at the same time the fact that he called her Shisi Lang disturbed me.

So in Mandarin, in the first 10 episodes, they use familiar language to address each other, right? They don't use formal language?
My language translated it into a formal language, that's why I was wondering.

Yes they were pretty relaxed around each other but they still had greetings and attitudes that seemed to indicate that, even though they were friends, there was some formality between them (like when she calls him "boss").
In my language, formal and familiar are very distinctive and the subtitles make them speak formally to each other throughout (16 episodes with subtitles for the moment). So I was wondering what it was like in the Chinese language.

I love romances and can be very picky. This one is surely one of the best there is.
However, don't expect too much kiss scenes, that's not how this drama is. But the relationship between lovers, hugs, looks, statements and more are amazing!

Yes. The drama has gone from 9.5 to 9.4 today and I'm sure that's the cause.
That someone did not like the drama and gave a low rating in all objectivity, I have nothing against. Each his own.
But for people to allow themselves to drag this drama down because they are waiting for the subtitles because they haven't started the drama yet or because they haven't understood the ending is annoying.

On Viki, a lot of bad ratings are caused by people waiting for the drama's subtitles in their language and, instead of waiting quietly, rating with 1 star to complain about the lack of subtitles.
I also saw several that put 1 star because they start the drama and will review later but never correct their rating!
One put 2 stars and then edited saying she was in episode 20 and loved the drama. I wanted to shout at her: "then change the rating" !!

He/she believed Changge and A'Sun didn't end up together.

I can't believe how people are.
Just saw, on Viki, someone rated the drama 5 out of 10 stars because, while they LOVED the drama, he/she simply didn't understand the end. It's amazing to devalue the whole drama just because of that.
