Here is the million dollar question.

name a single Kdrama or Cdrama in last 2 years where the ML dumps the FL and she waits for him for years and keeps chasing for most of the drama?

I can name 10 dramas released in last 6 months where the FL dumps ML and still the ML keeps chasing the FL.

lol..now i know why these stupid cdramas have these kind of used toilet paper ML's.

take a breath and remember that these are characters in a drama written by a 17 year old with power fantasies.

no need to abuse real people for fictitious characters.

The 3rd person in the triangle could have been a woman instead of a man.

Imagine if it was a woman who was friends with ML all his life and loved him, just like how the 2ML is shown in this one.
The love triangle instead plays out with that 2FL in the love triangle.

But, All the meaningful love triangles in Kdramas always involves ML, FL and 2ML.

The writer could have gone with a woman instead of a man & then your logic of her personal journey could be applied to that character.

But, we all know in Kdramas it is always the ML, FL and 2ML.
And it's time we all stop pretending not knowing why the writers of these dramas only have ML, FL and 2ML in their love triangles.

No one is asking FL to be a follower of ML.
regarding challenging, why is it that the ML needs to find FL challenging? Is this some sort of competition? And exactly what is the FL doing to face the challenges to make herself appealing to ML?

LOL, if this were real life, someone that good looking and successful, would be drowning in good looking women.

Most men in real life would have to work very very hard to get a woman.
but the top tier guys who are good looking and are rich...I don't need to complete the sentence, you know the reality. This ML in real life would be swimming in women.

And this is a drama, not real life.
As such a drama needs to have a logical progression which makes for compelling story telling. Meaning, everything that happens in the drama is for a reason and there is payback or payoff at the end.

For example, it's like in the final episode of a rom-com, both ML and FL are killed off in a car accident as ending. Why? because shit like that happens in real life....While that would be something that happens in real life, it's not the payoff you are looking for when watching a rom-com.

Whenever you read a book or watch movie or drama, it needs a logical sequencing.

If ML dumps or does something to hurt FL, the story ark demands he makes amends and win the FL back.

Similarly if the FL does something bad to ML, it should be her making amends and trying to correct the wrong.

That is what we call story progression and character progress.

I don't understand the shit being shown in this drama.
Here, the FL does not even move a finger. It's basically some power fantasy where the woman is detached and only cares for her career and family & has a man who would sacrifice everything for her, even if she treats him like shit.

Why in the world would a man that good looking and that successful stay so dedicated to such a flimsy woman?
Even if he was in love, he should have tiniest bit of dignity left to explore other options. Pretty sure there would dozens who would treat this man thousand times better than the FL.

Even a brain dead moron would know by now... she would always put herself first and will dump him in future without a second thought.

The drama keeps hinting that FL loves ML but her actual actions with consequences shows she cares shit for ML.

What's the point of using the word 'love' when FL does not take a single step to protect the said love or the person she loves? It just shows love is not a priority and neither the person she loves.
It's become a very common trope in Cdramas as well Kdramas. The cool FL has other priorities than love and no matter what she happens and what she does, it's always the ML who will keep chasing her.

Does it even make any sense that ML is the one chasing FL?
Wasn't FL the one who left? Shouldn't she be the one putting in the effort to win ML back?
Why would any man with half a brain ever consider chasing the woman who brutally dumped him? Looks like ML being smart is just another lip service, that guy has shit for brain.
If he really had a brain he would have found another woman who respected and treasured his love.

Story is nice. Comes as advertised.

Imagine someone saying a 30 year old woman never had a period because she was busy with studies and work and stuff.

That's exactly how all the reasons come across.

Once a boy hits puberty, the only thing he sees is boobs and more boobs. There are zero exceptions. Anyone telling you otherwise is lying.

After watching lot of Korean and Chinese drama, I am convinced that men in these 2 countries have zero sexual desires.

Same same wimpy simpy ML who would sacrifice both his testicle for the woman he loves

the FL is your modern woman with better priorities than being in love with the testicle sacrificing ML.

I don't blame the actors though.
They need the money and the actors are probably more aware than the viewers about the messed up characterization of ML's.

JCW in real life can go to a club and pick his choice of women & most would happily oblige him.

There has not been a Kdrama romcom in last 3 years where the ML has explicitly shown sexual attraction to any woman other than FL.

most of them have never dated and ever looked at any woman.
The purity and virginity of Kdrama romcom ML is the only thing that matters in a Kdrama.

The Kdrama ML does not have sexual feelings. In fact they don't ever go through puberty. The only thing that happens to them is that they fall in love with FL, the kind of spiritual, all consuming, galactic, across multiple life times love....only from the ML end.

the FL though comes in multiple variations.

Some one else gets it.

She was the red flag in all her relationships.

And the garbage the writer came up with 'I only walked and ate with them'.
What kind of shit is that?
Does that mean she has zero feelings for the men she dated?
The writer wrote shit and turned it into bigger shit as the drama progressed.

And YP is by far the worst simpy wimp ML in Kdramas bar none.

And as drama progressed it becomes clear that man neglected his own dad to simp for FL.

Like I stated, it's poor writing.

What the drama shows, says and means does not match.

in Doctor Cha, there is no ML. The show centers around the FL with a cheating husband. He was a main character but to classify the husband as male lead is completely wrong.
The drama does not make excuses for the cheating husband. He was portrayed as trash. In fact the husband was a top grade Ahole and the drama makes sure the viewers know exactly what he is.

When we talk about ML's, let's not start pretending we don't know what we are talking about.
