After ep.3, I'll have to think of this drama as a SF. I mean, can you really tell directions from a conversation across walkie-talkie?
Other than that, still hooked ^^
8/10 for me. Very beautiful drama. The cinematography and love story mainly. It was still a bit slow at times. I would have loved the part with the "devil ghost" to be a bit more exploited.
Descendants of the Sun and W totally deserved it man! even the best actor actress and best supporting actor actress…
Hmm... No. W was good but, in this category, Signal should definitely win first place. Unfortunately, it has far less viewers. W is more of a fantasy drama than a thriller.
I hate when dramas are so hyped up, but maybe this one is for good reasons. I can't wait to start:)
Don't worry, just check the stats, I'd be surprised if you don't give it at least an 8 ;) You won't get bored and it might even end up being among your favorites.
Am I the only one who get the impression Hwarang's music is the same as the 2005 kdrama My Girl? I can't help remembering it. The story is similar too.
You can watch it here (official YT account): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbiSxgWCBGA
They actually are the multiple endings of episode 7. The videos will play one after another.
From the videos, it seems there will be a 9th episode with Lee Min Ho.
So this is kinda like the American show /movie frequency?
Yeah! I'm also watching it. I'm at episode 7 and I love it so far. I just hope they won't complicate things too much and not know how to wrap it up. But for now, it's quite good. It made me wonder if they decided to make an adaptation after watching Signal or if Signal was made after hearing there will be an US adaptation of Frequency XD Well, it can also just be a coincidence but I doubt it.
63 episodes? What happened? It went from 40 to 48 and now to 63! I like this drama but a new extension, really?…
@seoparkang Thank you for the explanation. That makes sense now. @kdramaaddict Sure! I thought 48 was just right. I'm still at episode 45 and it seems to be getting close to the end. So, we'll see...
The story is indeed predictable but the romance make up for that, even without much developpement. It's hard to explain... Even in the middle of their fight, you can feel that they are very attracted to each other, particularly Wang Kai.
As for skipping, I advise you to not skip anything in the first 2-3 episodes. After that, I skipped without a problem:
- about every scenes with Li Wei Wei bald co-worker, the one who tries to steal her post. Apart from deapening some misunderstandings in the beginning, he's useless.
- when the conversation between Li Wei Wei and Huo Xiao was taking forever and going nowhere.
As for the rest, if you get bored, you can simply fast-forward while checking once in a while. But:
- The scenes with Chen Yi Du's assistant are boring at first but interesting when a certain someone starts to pursue her.
- Be aware that some scenes with Chen Yi Du's childhood friend are important. (He comes in the picture quite late.) You'll understand why later.
Other than that, still hooked ^^
