This drama is like Tokyo DOGS clashed with IRIS...it is exciting and at times funny...with lots of action, plot twists, and (best of all) bromance!

I wasn't able to be as invested in it as I would of liked, however because I've seen other similar dramas before so I was able to pick out most of the twists and turns which ruined a lot of the tension and suspense I imagine other viewers feel (or, felt). Having said that, it is still a fantastic drama that has a wonderful cast! I think you could argue that this is one of the best Taiwanese dramas ever as far as quality is concerned, the directing is great and it was all pre-filmed so the editing is also very nice. Plus, it has a really good soundtrack.

I gave it a "8" instead of "10" just because of my personal issues with the plot but I think it is otherwise a high quality drama that everyone should watch!

Title Rooftop Prince Spoiler
As spoilery extension fro my review:

This does NOT have a happy ending for our super duper cute couple. Not at all. I WILL argue that it is bittersweet at best. Realistically (who are we kidding? Realistic? This drama? There is a stone TURTLE that mysteriously turns it's head as the camera zooms in on it ominously before our Josen F4 are magically transported to the future. There is no realism here) it makes sense that things turned out the way they did...within the context of fiction the writer provided. Yi Gak travels to the future to uncover the mystery behind his crown princess' murder. Mission success! Of course he would be transported back to the past. That is where he belongs. Especially since he has a perfectly comatose reincarnation in the future. Why not?

BUT my heart so desperately hoped for a miracle. It is hard to go through an entire drama series rooting and cheering for an OTP only to have them--technically--not end up together in the end. I understand that Tae Young is (pretty much) Yi Gak. And I am convinced that in the end, when he finds Park Ha, he has (if not all) at least some of Yi Gak's memories/personality traits. The way he stands...and what he says...all point to that. But the truth of the matter is that he is NOT Yi Gak. And Yi Gak went back to the past and died (at some point), alone. If I can imagine Tae Young has most of Yi Gak's memories now that he has awoken from his coma, I feel a little better, since that would mean Yi Gak did come back for Park Ha and get his well deserved Happy Ever After but boy does my heart still hurt for these two.

This drama had moments when it was SO freaking good (mostly because of Feng Shao Feng’s performance as Wu Ju Lan…I just loved his characters gentle mannerisms and sweetness…plus holy molly he is so hawt!) however, overall I wouldn’t necessarily consider it a good show.

The heroin is mostly annoying and Bea Hayden overacted like crazy…which just made Shen Luo seem even more unrealistic and frustrating.

The plot was largely boring. Most of the scenes that didn’t have to do with Wu Ju Lan and Shen Luo I just skipped through.

THE ENDING SUCKED. I’m just going to throw that out there. It was awful and so abrupt (I was like “….that’s it?!”). Uge, I was prepared to write this drama off as decent until the end.

In short: adorably loveable/interesting hero but riddled with annoying (overacted) characters, a weak plot, and a terrible ending.

As a huge fan of Tong Hua’s “Da Mo Yao” I’m really disappointed.

I LOVED this drama. OMG! Seo Kang Joon just came out of nowhere for me and won my heart and soul. His acting was SO good, especially since he was charged with playing two totally different characters…one of them being a robot no less. The story was refreshing and oh.so.entertaining. I go in to dramas featuring robots with a lot of skepticism (looking at you, Zettai Kareshi) but I was very pleasantly surprised with the way this one played out. I loved the characters and everything fit together nicely—the plot, the directing, the music. It was just produced so well. Nam Shin III being so utterly perfect and adorable is just the icing on this delicious cake. So much love. Will watch again!

While nothing will ever be as good as the Japanese version, they did a great job with the casting and the story. It fell short in many ways (not as emotional, for starters) but managed to hold its own. Worth a watch. I will forever be disappointed that we didn’t get a kiss though. Whatever.

This drama is such a joke. I was prepared to give it a decent rating until I watched the last episode, because despite the fact that I believe the whole second half of the series was seriously flawed, I really enjoyed the premise and the beginning. But the last episode? I was shaking my head towards the Drama Gods the whole time asking, "How can this be?" I think "Average" is now more than fair. This was such a waste of some really good talent. And granted, Lie to Me has it's moments, even later on...but mostly those are just Kang Ji Hwan trying to hold the whole thing together with his (sadly) impossibly cliche and boring character. I was really impressed he manage to bring any life into Ki Joon and I'm fairly certain that if anyone else had acted the part, I wouldn't of even bothered finishing this drama. Well, anyway, there's my rant. Watch at your own risk!

Cute, breezy watch. There is a good mystery and a sweet couple. The writing and acting seemed a bit amateurish which is why it only gets a 7 from me, but it’s short and fun so it makes for a nice filler or transition drama.

Uge. Awful. Used every spy-drama cliche in the book. No chemistry between the leads. Acting was mediocre at best. No clue why I bothered finishing other than it had so much potential that just never played out. Don't waste your time!

Surprising that that drama was 24 episodes...even more surprising was how they managed to pull that off without things dragging horribly or getting boring. Grated, I still think a typical 16 episode run would have been sufficient but regardless it was enjoyable. Jo Jung Suk stole the show, as always, and I’m a fan of pretty much everything Gong Hyo Jin does. They had good chemistry and were the driving force that kept this train going. I could watch them just be adorable together for another 24 episodes and forget the rest.

Started this drama forever ago, and finally finished after a long break. It can’t even begin to compete with “Kill Me, Heal Me”...another drama that had a veeeery similar premise and aired at the same time, which was unfortunate. However...HOT DAMN Hyun Bin is still so freaking gorgeous and sexy. I teetered more towards being annoyed with Han Ji Min than liking her which was also really disappointing. Couldn’t fully get on board with the couple(s) or their chemistry. In the end, I decided to just ogle Hyun Bin and enjoy the eye candy

While at times annoying, it was cute and sweet, although in the end—ultimately forgettable. It’s definitely worth a watch, I just don’t think much of it will stick with me. The character dynamics are somewhat unique and the plot twist was great though, which makes this show stand out amongst so many others that follow generic plot lines.

This drama...was okay. It was a little over the top and filled with "Seriously?!" moments but it managed to keep me hooked with a bit of charm, humor, and trolling episode cliff-hangers. I won't put it on my re-watch list but I wouldn't necessarily not recommend it either. Depends on what mood you're in.

I loved this drama so much when it was airing and fell head-over-heels for Chun Jung Myung...

Not to brag or anything (okay totally bragging cuz I'm gushing...) but I got to meet him face-to-face when I was in Korea. He was shooting a commercial at a bar one of my friends owns. We spoke like 3 words. Swoon. Just as adorable in person!

So pretty...one of the first Korean historicals that really looked like a movie with a high production value.

But the story...the story...
