In the review it says "Wee begins Raping her" and while I've watched like 50 lakorns and am used…
It is like Sealed w/ a Kiss type ... He bribes her into being his mistress, so she knows what she is getting into.... but she's tough and will try to make his life as difficult as possible.
Also, he wants revenge against her, but is tortured seeing her hate him ...
So yes, it happens more than once, like SWAK .... but he feels neither guilty (wants revenge) nor satisfied (he wants her love not hate) ... Basically torture to both :P
this is very interesting and intense but why is one episode 4 hours long? am i at the wrong website or something…
It's alwaysmeena version w/ higher quality video..split into 4 long parts(eps)...So it is either:
12 episodes @1hr35min each = 19 hours total ....or....
4 episodes @4hr45min each = 19 hours total.
Dramacool has the 4 episode version although they also include the shorter episodes 5-12 .
I like your list, especially cute innocent Healer and the perfect best friend Li Da Ren.
My list of "Best Surprisingly Decent Guys":
1) Wei Wu Ji (Eddie Peng) in --- Sound of the Desert --- Incredibly supportive and patient in the friendzone, a hero w/ a bad-boy image and heart of gold... Perfect!
2) Lu Li Cheng (Wallace Chung) in--- Best Time --- drama gets silly later, but he's Perfect!
3) He Yi Chen (Wallace Chung) in --- My Sunshine --- Mature, understanding and patient.
The plot sounds similar to Manee Yard Fah ... EDIT: synopsis has been updated... only similarity is the marriage to protect her part .... Manee Yard Fah is being remade By Anne T., starring Nadech and Yaya.
Ooooh.... this sounds good, lots of angst and pining and fighting his own heart .....
I am expecting Weir to show a lot of this internal conflict through skinship and humor... XD
Typical newer lakorn .... The original is much better, w/ deep meaning. They took away the complex well-developed characters, made them simple. They took away character development as a plot device, and replaced it w/ action. Worst of all, they took away the wonderful insightful conversations of Chanon and Rasa, replaced it w/ typical lakorn senseless anger.
Also, Andrew and Kob are wonderful actors that showed the nuances of conflicted emotions .... Om and Min lack the talent to show subtlety and depth.
What a waste of a wonderful lead like Cee , like @Cheer said below he is super hot!!! ..... I loved Cee, he is scary when he's hateful and still good when sweet. Good chemistry w/ Min.
In general, this suffers from incredibly weak writing. .. Just typical slap/kiss formula, sprinkled w/ a few cliches and over-used tropes, resulting in mediocre plot. The few episodes when he was just nice, were very boring.
Too many useless filler scenes, lots of unnecessary talk that did not advance the plot or give insight into characters, it was not even funny or amusing.
Cee tried his best to make things sizzle, but romance was not compelling.
I think it would have been better if they would have shown more internal conflict for both leads ... If Nakrop (Cee) had struggled w/ his mother's influence vs. his guilt and trying to make amends.
If Ouijai (Min) had struggled w/ love/hate towards the man responsible for her brother's death.
Instead, they went through phases of feeling one way or the other without being conflicted .... It would have added lots of angst and greatly improved the romance and plot.
I recommend watching only for Cee's hotness, u can do a lot of fast-forwarding in this one.
When I compare this to the exasperating Wong Wien Hua Jai, that had every cliche in the book, over the top evilness, ridiculous personality changes at the last minute, WWHJ still had a more compelling romance w/ lots of angst and feels.
Guys, Three Lives Three Worlds is just a cleverly disguised Return of the Condor Heroes. I don't recommend…
Wow... Thank you!.... I did not realize that, or that LOCH was inspiration for Star Wars I-III ...
I've only seen Return of the Condor Heroes, I want to see the old Hon Kong versions.
For me there is an outstanding young child actor missing in this list:
#1- Xiao Le - (Wen Benny) -- in Autumn's Concerto.... Most memorable... Best child performance!
Also, he wants revenge against her, but is tortured seeing her hate him ...
So yes, it happens more than once, like SWAK .... but he feels neither guilty (wants revenge) nor satisfied (he wants her love not hate) ... Basically torture to both :P
Subs are available, but raw videos have to be split.
This lakorn is really worth it, one of the better ones, certainly in my top 5 slap/kiss.
