Keep going! It makes sense eventually 😆
Does he care - thing with SE is that his actions are louder than his words.

This will all be explained within the future episodes but I'd recommend watching how he behaves. Also notice their sorroundings (fashion/ bed rooms for instance) since everything isn't what it seems. Specially, onwho actually has control between them.

(Sorry for speaking in riddles btw- wasn't sure if you wanted spoilers!)

As for the mum? It will be explained later too- if you watched ep 1 in full, basically the mum is a gold digger and expects Heeju to be like that too. She lied to SE because she thought HJ was upto no good so she tried to cover for her so SE won't get mad at HJ for roaming around.

What is limit ?
NGL i'm surprised i didn't see that particular question floating around here (i noticed this question popping up alot in most of TVN's dramas with long suffering MLs) 🤣🤣🤣

Exactly!

Even in the off chance it was unintentional, they should have expected at least a 10% chance that this could cause a contraversy and they might have to take action🤷‍♀️

OMG WHAT HAPPENS?Why is the rating dropped? I stop it after Ep11I can't start final episode.
Ignore MDL and watch it when you get a chance with a fresh mind 😊.

Ep 12 wasn't the best since some scenes felt a bit rushed but it's not terrible (IMO they could have had a better finish if they had 1 more extra episode).

⚠️⚠️vague SPOILERS⚠️⚠️
The war zone arc in the first half of the episode- this wasn't built up well enough since they didn't mention that the ML was acting as a negotiator there (many were confused why SE was in combat there)/ they did hint about the country and SE's past experience there in previous episodes but it was abit too subtle I guess/ they summarised alot of important scenes so they could match the novel but the way did it felt out of place if you haven't read the novel.

SE's behaviour in the first half of the episode is also kind of contraversial since they over-relied on the hospital bed scene in ep 9 ("if i disappear, don't find me and wait for me")- in SE's pov, his behaviour isn't surprising since he freaks out over even little things related to HJ if you really think about it but fans were disappointed. The saving grace of that scene is that HJ didn't cut him any slack and called him out so it's ok since even the drama agrees he made a poor decision (at least in my opinion).

If you don't overthink the 10 second subtitle misinterpretation in the last news room scene, the ending is good since they gave us about 20mins of SaJu moments instead of a last minute happy ending.

TMAI! I noticed that there is this one account that's super talkative today - guess they've decided to finally show their truly colours.

Would love to comment - but why bother eh?

Hey got your notification! The fact that SW wasn't aware of a fourth missing kid seems highly suspicious considering…
No worries! 😁

MDL comments section....i know the feeling. Even I was stunned when I saw the comments on Sunday morning (it was chill on Saturday when the episode was first released/ when I watched it).

I loved the 604-406 connection too. SE can't help being the biggest loser in the series....then again his name says it all (Baek Only Love)🤭🤭🤭

You are so right! And the fact that they can continue to role play as 406 and 604 was so cheeky but cute🙈🙈🙈

YYS and CSB seriously did justice for their roles. Like knowing how shy CSB is, Idk how she brought HJ to life🙊🙊🙊

Btw did you see their wedding shoot BTS? Sooo cute!

I need to check the boathouse flashback scene again to look at the grandfather's stare. I was too focussed on SE's fear and the red glow on the grandfather reminded me of the 👿🙈

Your analogy on how the 3 victims were affected by the love they received sounds pretty perfect honestly and resonates with the real SE too. Tthe kid may be murderous but the family didn't even give him a fighting chance to at least control his urges in the right way 🫠🫠🫠

I really liked the last scene how they captured SE and PDJ like they were spies and Heeju their chief ordering his return🤣

Lol now that you mentioned it, most villains' eyes do twitch🤣🤣🤣 Apparently the kidnapper and YYS have worked together before in theatre or a musical. Villains in S.Korea are good looking too🤭

I mean look at PDJ? Nobody could hate him even before they knew about his brother.🙈

Haha me too! I had a great time playing detective with you too! It made the drama experience more fun- thanks for taking the time to respond 😁😁😁

I feel like they had to trim alot to fit in the 12th episode. That's why the pacing is off with ep 12 compared…
True- the real villains were the Baek family and not real SE.

It's even kind of implied that his murderous tendancies seemed to have stopped at fish while he was with the fisherman so the guardian must have done something right compared to the parents.

Yeah it's not a good excuse- shoukd have planned better or removed the scene since they did make other changes.

The Argan arc for instance isn't as simplified as the way they portrayed it. Even HJ's hostage situation and their reunion had more reasoning and depth in the novel- it wasn't a simple stroll that went wrong.

Calm your ass down. No one's abusing casts here. People are calling out the makers.
Ikr? The most amusing part (sad really) is how half of the comments on the actors' accounts question their reasoning for choosing such a script 🤦‍♀️

It's so obvious most don't even know why they are outraged🤷‍♀️

It's interesting how there's hardly anybody calling out for Netflix to address the issue interestingly enough

And I said that people are posting hate comments on the SFL here too..

You may have not seen it but on Sunday for instance there were certain users openly hating on her because she read the piece in question.

The cast members' IG account comment sections do not agree with you - specially the News anchor's.

Even in here there were some users openly spreading hate on her.

Yes- they get engaged at the end (there's a timeskip of 6+ months - not sure how many months went by after the Christmas scenes ).

So this manipulating ratings is not NEW, I have checked that drama page After Effect still there.
Sadly apologising for KTL's issue can't really backfire on the studio/ broadcasting team since it was only stereotyping one ethnicity which is extremely wrong but not as bad in comparison to this fiasco 🫠

WTPR on the other hand's is too delicate. MBC is connected with the South Korean government right? I t's too political.

SE is too traumtised to think rationally- specially where HeeJu is concerned 🙈
Ikr?! It would have been amazing, specially since it would have complimented the thriller romance theme really well.
🙈🙈🙈

Guess we'll just have to use our imagination and assume that the missing scenes did happen off-screen 🙊

They do set the war zone thing up earlier but in throw away lines that are easy to miss and forget with everything…
Yeah. His Negotiator role is kind of like on Demand thing i guess which is why it didn't come up much.

It's a waste of time trying to reason with the user.

But hey- they did give a good reason why there is no point of MBC making a statement at this point🫠

You kept telling the subs were at fault/ Netflix is in charge of subs and they messed up (as always) but if they still choose to believe just because one side is more vocal, that's on them 🤷‍♀️🐑

There are links too. There's the news Banner too. People see what they want to see i guess.

The focal point was that SE was back as a negotiator (since in the previous scene they didn't reveal what his future plans were) but because of the name choice of the countries, this was missed.

Honestly they should have just sticked with Argan itself.

in the end, did the male lead & trusted confidante turned into a spy for the country? or an embassy staff?
More like Negotiator and assistant
