She knows why he was acting hot-cold at first and his explanation while kind of silly is understandable. They do have a serious security breach at present the SE definitely has installed a mole. Nam DR just had unfortunate timing since she left SE before her probationary period so her role wasn’t on her CV which made her seem even more suspicious since Ha Gi already knew she worked at SE by accident.
Once they cleared the misunderstanding, they’ve been quite upfront with eachother which isn’t something Nam DR can do with Chan easily.

Ep 7’s take of their friendship was quite interesting to be honest. There seems to be a gap that has never really been addressed. The love triangle is more likely to be the final straw.
I mean they are definitely besties BUT you don’t really see them bond in the way Hagi does with the Pilates guy. Chan too seems to be in his own isolated world.

Apparently a more appropriate term for this kind of stalking is “shadow protector” -like with Sang Yan who genuinely just means well and doesn’t cross the line - or “obsessive anti-hero” like with Sato perhaps since he’s willing to cross the line
Also “Fans” : *almost destroys their beloved Chan’s brand image, disrupts his life and potential projects, and causes hell to his company in the name of protecting him* 🤦♀️
The worst part is that as rediculous as it looked, the drama only scratched the surface of the reality of the depths of fan entitlement🫠

Honestly this is my biggest gripe too. Anybody with eyes can see that her mother’s days were numbered. I get it tha since it is a patriachic society, the father can force the mother to stay with him but c’mon?? She could have left with her son when he took the grandmother’s coffin back? Claim that she’s being filial to her late mother in law🤷♀️ Nobody would have questioned her actions…right?
Xie’s outburst over her father’s death is kiiiind of understanding if you think about the circumstances surrounding it. She was already distraught over her mother’s death and was also stressed over Zhou’s safety. The possibility that Zhou committed patricide in a “misguided attempt to protect her” would have the opposite effect. Remember, Xie doesn’t like getting her hands dirty over unworthy people. She’s supposed to be righteous (even if the justice practically doesn’t exist there apparently)🥲
The only scene worth watching in the last episode was Ji Hwan and Yeo Ri’s. It was so emotional and beautifully…

Shortly after Ji Hwan gave Yeorie the necklace, he found out Min Hwan’s secret and the two have a heated arguement on the opposite side of the deck. Coincidentally the yacht hits a rough patch of debris(?), throwing Yeorie overboard while Ji Hwan was at first saved by Min hwan, only for him to deliberately let go due to his insecurities (this is the crime). In the “after death” world, because Yeorie was wearing the necklace that prevents spirits from interacting with her at the time, Ji Hwan was chosen as the one who would cross to the other side. But because she intervened, the system glitched, forcing Ji Hwan’s spirit back to the real world and Yeorie was punished with her “ghostly” touch.
The only way to break the curse was to offer a sacrifice. This was fulfilled by Ji Hwan when he finally crossed to the other side (or may be it was when her heart stopped for a few seconds after the accident?).
Was anything else missed? I kind of zoned out in ep 12 so not sure 😅
I personally liked TFF but then again I really like the author’s work/ found the character duality between “Hidden Love” and TFF interesting.
Personally if you are into fast paced stories, you will find TFF quite slow compared to 25 Years since there’s quite a lot of side quests in TFF (32 episodes need to be covered afterall). You need to really be in the mood to enjoy a high stakes healing romance to truly enjoy TFF.
The secret stalker angle too is also not addressed in TFF (or rather it’s romanticized) since the FL in TFF had always liked the ML too and only banned him from meeting her for his own good. So finding out that he’d been stalking her for 6 years didn’t scare her off. I’d say this is where 25 Years and TFF probably intersect since even in Mariko’s case, eventhough she didn’t know Sota, she did always have a soft spot for the “MP3 player guy” from her youth and there is also the fact that she is a romantic at heart who just wants to be loved for herself. So once she gets over her initial shock/ Sota is able to explain himself better, she’ll probably accept him too.🙈
No. I was comparing 2 different dramas where both MLs end up stalking their first loves (without any malicious intentions) for years and how the audience can be influenced into either wholeheartedly supporting one/ be cautious with the other depending on how they are portrayed.
The cop - I wouldn’t be surprised if he has been keeping tabs on Mariko’s family for the past 20 years or so given how they keep hinting he had some kind of connection with Mariko’s mother when he was young.
I was tempted to watch "The First Frost" (cdrama) again because the suspense is just too much to wait patiently.
It's interesting how a difference in years, visual effects, lighting, music, and "eye acting" can change the ambiance of a character eventhough both MLs have been silently shadowing and secretly protecting their love interests for years (6 vs 25).
One is recognized as a certified yearner (TFF) almost immediately while the other (Sota) almost feels dangerous.

The ML’s father is an extremely controlling husband (they described his psyche as “pygmalion syndrome”). In an attempt to break her chains/ let out her frustration, the mother has an affair when the ML was around 15 or so years old. One day the father finds out about the affair and decides to take revenge in the worst way possible. He forces the ML to watch through a window while his mother is having intercourse with her partner…and then still while he is watching through the window horrified, the father enters the house and surgically removes the man’s pen*s. The ML had no choice but to watch everything happen.
Being so young, this mentally scars the ML to the point where he believes that sex is equivalent to pain and destruction. This is why he hates sex and cannot “perform”-since he’s haunted by those flashbacks. At the time he was also too young to realize how controlling his father was so he couldn’t really understand why his “happy” mother chose to betray her family so this too distorts his perception of love and relationships.
To make things worse, the day this happened, he was supposed to meet the FL on their first date. Since he believes that he too could hurt her like how his parents hurt eachother, he disappears from her life until they reunite 10-12 years later.
Seeing how some recent female leads are getting hated for ghosting the male lead, I'm surprised no one points…
Back when it was first aired, Yi Fan too got a lot of hate for it too but I guess after they revealed the real depth behind her trauma, some viewers toned down a bit.

TMAI -it’s kind of funny reading OP’s post since most of the time, viewers tend to complain that the ML actors are hogging most of the press glory while FL actresses are being robbed, losing the attention they deserve. In this case he’s being bashed for stepping back 🤦♀️
