3/4 way through ep 1 and the chemistry between the leads are actually pretty decent!!! I love it when Ren Anle continuously teased the Crown Prince. What an awesome role reversal in typical gender minded society.
So far, at least I appreciate the director/production team selecting a non-Han child actress to play the young Di Zi Yuan to match Dilraba's exotic looks. Attention to detail is important as a step in producing great show. If only the subs make sense, too....

I don't think LXY loves it that much to play this type of character. I do agree he's good at it, and that's why he's been cast in some of this type of roles. He's getting more main role projects in his pipeline from what I can see listed on MDL. Hope it works out for him professionally.
