Wow! I love how GJS dished it out to the Princess in his prison cell; and the added enjoyment to me as a viewer is seeing his uncle leisurely listening to the scene like an Audiobook. The uncle commented that his nephew didn't inherit his romantic suaveness is hilarious. I was clapping when the Princess walked off in anger.

The part with Shen Ming writing Yun's name is so funny. After getting caught, he proceeded to continue writing with a rock like a besotted fool in love.😂

I like how the emperor didn't bow down to the Dowager's request about the marriage, and actually provided an opportunity for GJS to choose, and kind of gave RuGu a "protection" by gifting them "Best Couple."

I have the same view on LZS. So far, I don't see him having the power and enough soldiers to become an emperor. Yes, he can use his wealth to hire soldiers, but that's not sustainable. It just doesn't work with him vying for the throne. I'd give it to him to be a commissioner, but not emperor level.

Also easier said than done in my eyes. Stick ladders have less surface areas for oil to adhere with high hit rate. Might as well just waste oil between rungs. But, whatever...I respect your view. Let's just enjoy our wonderful couple make-out on screen. 😁

All I can say is sometimes it's easier said than done.

There are so much to deal with from multiple angles in pressed time. I'm sure tipping/moving the ladders is one of the strategies in reality. However, if you take into account the height of the ladder, the load (how many soldiers have already climbed up and how far up, the flexibility of the bamboo to handle the curve, GJS's soldiers would need a really long stick and clearance to tip the ladders away from the wall. If there are tons of these ladders to tip, it's just a matter of time someone successfully get to the top.

Zhou Ye and General Qin really deserve each other. It's so funny when he was incognizant and nonchalantly stated to GJS that them two became sworn brother by day 2. Such a pure soul.

I love this scene! Especially with Yuru dressed in red and such a flowy garb. So much impact and visually stunning.

I clapped my hands and grinned when GJS swept Yuru off her feet for their "first night." 😘💕😜😁

Oh, I know he can do tough when I saw him in You Are My Hero. He performed wonderfully there, too.
