He was a bastard child out of wedlock, so his grandfather hid his existence within the four walls of their home. As for why he mistaken his father’s identity, this was never revealed in the drama. We can only speculate that his mom may have told him something different to maybe protect his real father's identity. We will never know for sure.

In the drama, it didn’t say she was married.

He thought his biological father was GJS’s dad.

My only gripe is GJS’s father didn’t have a come back. I was holding out until ep 39. Such a pity.

He was reinstated after Fan Yu became Emperor. This was brought up in a conversation between LZS and Jiang He. Although I can't stand the writer bequeathing LZS with so much mental power as if no one can beat him. I simply can't wait until LZS vanishes into thin air in ep 40.

It's a tragedy to see the Zhou family and General Qin's died horribly. I guess it's a much needed catalyst for the Zhou's to overthrow Fan Yu; otherwise the story would end with a stupid emperor ruling and there's never satisfaction when supposedly losers win the grand finale and get to eat cake, too.

Are you watching a better C-drama show now? If so, I would like to know what you're currently watching. Otherwise, I strongly recommend you continue this one because it's better than 8.5 to me. 😀. The thing is, even if it goes downhill, it comes back at the top again, and worth the rollercoaster ride. Enjoy!!
