Probably unpopular opinion here but the Princess and Officer Liu Gong Chan has more chemistry together in the few episodes since they appeared than Shu Ya Nan with Yun Xiang.
Does anyone think that Madame Su's clan is behind the Luo Village massacre? She seems to have a hidden agenda.…
I’m up to ep 14. Even several episodes back, I already had an inkling that Qi TingFeng wasn’t the mastermind behind Luo’s village. He was , so to say, the executioner, one who carried out orders from higher up , during that period of his life. Maybe you’re right, Su’s family is behind it or that Su’s family knows who’s behind it.
Honestly, Su Huai Rou and her family background are the most interesting and mysterious parts of the story at the moment. She's certainly intelligent and seemingly hiding something. Whatever hidden power and secret Su's family holds, it's enough for Yuantai Sect's Master wanting to take the family down.
So in 5 years Kang Qiao learns to become a formidable fighter and in 15 years Yunxiang only learns how to run?!?!?…
Maybe he was intentionally not taught martial arts by his Master/Yuntai sect because the Master is the ultimate person responsible for YX's family's death and Luo's village wipeout. YX was only taught the "10 Breath" to escape and avoid being hit incase his life was in danger.
Same here. I'd be happy with some kind of epilogue/special episode(s): 1, 2 or 3 episodes. We'll see their kids…
In the drama, they are not Uyghurs. We have done a lot of geographical and historical analysis base on their locations in the drama while the show was airing. You probably assume they are Uyghurs because Diliraba's real life ethnic's group is Uyghurs and she was invited to take on the lead role.
I'm surprised you scrolled all the way back to comment on a 2 yo thread. =) Must have really love The Long Ballad!! Enjoy!!😀 It was a great show for a lot of us.
TTJ is really borderline creepy in some scenes. He's really a good fit in manifesting the dark side of a character. Totally believable as someone who's turning evil.
I love how the director shot the scene on introducing Prince Lin in the mortal world. So many awesome moves before revealing his face to generate enough excitement and Wow-ness of the character to us viewers. I look forward to enjoying this director's work. Btw, I hope Deng Wei gets his own ML roles in the near future. He played a very similar stoic and sacrificial role in The Journey of Chong Zi.
I really like him saying "zǒu ba"... It's really different from how others say it.
I notice this, too! He way of delivering his lines is uniquely different, like when he said zou ba. His movements slow and controlled, and his speech delivery matches his demeanor, feels like swaying water in a large basin.
and I LOVE Chen Xiao.

It's the costume designer. The main characters' including second leads' wardrobes are so rich and grand with beautiful embellishments and colors.
Second person I like the most is the makeup-hair artist/concept director.
