She was quite funny in In A Class of Her Own. I didn't watch Yunxi but she was kind of annoying in everything…
I enjoyed the original k-version a lot more. It’s possible that I already knew the storyline, so I wasn’t able to enjoy A Class of Her Own as much. Maybe give it a try yourself? 😀
Nope, she has been always criticized by this kind of make up, do you think she likes it?she's trying to get rid…
Interesting. I’m sure if she strongly suggested wanting a different look, the makeup artist would try something else. Good thing is that it’s unique and she sort of owns the look now after sporting it for so many years.
Wait, will this be like MISS THE DRAGON, right?? Bcz i don't wanna cry... I already cried so much for TTEOTM that…
Strangely, I enjoy this one more than the dramas you mentioned even though ML here isn’t as well known as the other two ML’s and the sets/costumes aren’t as luxurious as TTEOTM. Maybe because this one doesn’t feel as heavy.
Those who have watched until ep 8 or read the novel, will we know pretty early on who is the phoenix...or is it…
I didn’t read the novel but it would only make sense if FL is the phoenix. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be a story. 😀. As to why ML couldn’t detect the bone structure, it’s probably suppressed or hidden by someone/magic, and again, otherwise, there wouldn’t be a story if all secrets are outed in ep 1. 😀
I wonder if JJY does her own makeup. She has the same look in all her historical dramas: that look being light face with red accents around the eye areas.
1. Prince Fu and Yuntai master are the same OR they are brothers, maybe even twins.2. Yun Xiang is Yuntai master/Prince…
This theory also works. However, I feel YX as the son has a stronger driving affect spurring Prince Fu on with all his schemes such as his needs to “pass the torch.”
Yun Xiang suddenly let his hair down. He looks odd, though.
In ancient China, women let their hair down when mourning a death. I don’t think it applied as much to men. Maybe YX did it out of respect for Jin Biao.
1. Prince Fu and Yuntai master are the same OR they are brothers, maybe even twins.2. Yun Xiang is Yuntai master/Prince…
1. Yes, Prince Fu and Yuntai Master are the same person. If not the same person, then they are colluding at the highest level.
2. Yup. Very high likelihood Yun Xiang is Prince Fu's son. At the end of ep 32, Prince Fu said he did it all to keep "his family line" and to protect his love ones. In those days, "family line" means passing one's legacy to a son, not girl. So as much as Prince Fu loves the Princess, setting her up to reign the throne is a tough buy; not saying that China didn't have a couple of female empresses/dowagers historically, but most dynasties are ruled are male.
I am a horrible person. I know, I know, I know that Kou Yunjie is vile and he's not smart either. But I can't…
Hahaha, I TOTALLY know what you mean! I was just thinking the same. Prince Fu and NGF don't hold a candle to Kou YunJia's acting in fleshing out their respective characters. With KouYunJia, I could feel his menace when he's nasty. His side glances and darting eyes are impressive.
The romance has been dimmed by mutual suspicion. Both have at stake a revenge burden more important than a romantic…
It's subjective indeed. I also didn't feel strong chem in LLtG; and I also love Leo Wu. I think it's fair to say that most dramas/movies don't have strong chem between the leads otherwise every single productions will be a big hit already.
I agree - the chemistry is not working for me between the main leads. Even with the romantic bgm, i don’t feel…
I agree that Mr. Mo and his nephew have great chemistry. It's such a cute relationship. I notice the close up eye shots, too. I was wondering if it's because the director wants to capture ML's strong feature since Chen Xiao is a great "eye actor." Since the director gives "eyes time" to the ML, he then has to do the same for FL, too? Just all speculation here. But I'm sure the director wants to create a sense of suspicion ML/FL have to each other.

When there's strong chemistry between the performers, it doesn't matter what the obstacles are, whether it be revenge, arch enemy, or mutual suspicion, the connection will shine and sizzle through the screen. I just don't feel it here. Maybe I'm too dense.😂. Had this couple created strong chemistry, their current premise would have made the story bittersweet, but since it's lacking the connection, the romantic component of the drama falls flat.

3. NGF is just a smokescreen and underling.
