Hmm, if my memory serves me right, A'Sun and Changge were pretty relaxed around each other early on and didn't…
I noticed this also when I watched on Youtube both the English-subbed auto-translated to French version and the French version (La Longue Ballade), both posted by Huace, the official source of TLB. The auto-translated version keeps going back and forth with vous/tu in the alcoholic scene in ep 5. But the French version called Ah Sun "Soleil" in later episodes, which I didn't like because his name represents Falcon, not Soleil.
Regardless, the drama is so good, we all can enjoy the essence of it even without perfect translation!
This is the kind of drama you would create an account for just to give it 10/10.
This is pretty much me. After years of watching asian dramas, I never before engaged in discussion or rating. I only previously came to MDL to search for infos on dramas. But with TLB, I'm compelled to create an account, rate the show 10, participate in countless discussions, and contribute to creative content.
I think, She Er had the most great character development.
This is one of the main reasons why I enjoy TLB so much. Almost all antagonists initially cast in negative light are given opportunities to shine and redeem themselves.

I only remember one scene where she called him "boss" in English translation. This was in ep. 9 in the shabby house when he gave her money, and she thanked him => "Thank you, boss." If you're referring to that, it's not in term of informal/formal language. She's calling him that because of his generosity and his fake status of a businessperson/merchant.
They never had any true informal/formal language between them. Very early on, he called her ShiSi Lang, almost like Mr. Shi Si, but the language structure of formal/informal isn't similar as in French (vous/tu), or Vietnamese, or Korean which is all very distinct.
I just thought of a couple of name blending for Dilireba and Leo. They are already being called "3088" among the Mandarin speaking communities. We don't have any for the English speaking communities.
I give you: SHEEPROCKS and SHEEPSTONES!
Rationale: Dilireba is also called "Ba Ba" which sounds like the sounds sheeps make. The "LEI" in Wu Lei in Chinese character is composed of 3-rocks/stones.
Interestingly, when I looked up Sheeprocks and Sheepstones, they are real places in the USA and the UK respectively.
Which one you like more? Sheeprocks or Sheepstones? I can't decide.
Just finished watching this drama. The scene where AS doesn’t say his 3rd wish to CG and says something like…
A lovely scene! When I watched it the first time and saw how his gaze caressed her at the 3rd wish, I love Leo's acting even more! Playful, sexy, and not all that innocent. So much is expressed, yet not said during that fleeting moment. You can feel Ah Sun knows what the 3rd wish is because he allows us to see it through his smile, but he doesn't believe CG is ready for it yet. Also, he's solidifying their relationship as long-term commitment when he said the "days ahead of us are long."
it was originally slated for a 50 ep run so yea....
Well, bathing nude is solo activity. He wasn’t touching anyone else or vice versa. Regardless, those clips are probably locked up in the director’s safe. If only one of us can Houdini it out to share. :)
Sorry for talking about this again and again, as I'm not a fan of historical drama. The things that kept me watching…
Yes, I know what you mean. Just let all your strong feelings about GeSun and TLB out. We’re here for you. Say it as many times as you need to start the moving on process. :)
Ok next fact about episode 48; yes I'm dissecting it now lol. Ah Sun was resigned to his execution, made peace…
No thoughts. I just enjoy knowing that you’re putting a lot of time into this. I’m glad because I’m still laughing with the fact That I’m not the only one deeply affected with GS-PTSD. Thanks for making the forum fun again. There’s been too much discord recently.

So, I totally understand how you feel. =)

Ah Sun....sigh... how can we not adore this man?
I like knowing how he kept himself motivated with Pic of Ah Sun though.
Regardless, it’s a good thing because he’s in such good physical form now based on some of his more recent revealing photos.

I agree with you that I can’t see anyone else being Ashile Sun other than Leo.
It’s so hot and revealing it didn’t pass govt censorship. The govt stated those scenes may sizzle our mind.
