Straight from the devil's mouth. What higher authority than from Khatun herself who has personal knowledge of the meaning as she's the living embodiment of evil.
Thank you for watching my videos and for all of your support! now I don’t know what to do with myself haha what…
Another great FMV! Love how you sync the music with effects and smooth transitioning. I also love the sepia tone and old film texturizing. I've seen a lot of Gesun/TLB FMV's over the month on different platforms, and you're one of the better creators out there in my view. You have massive creative talent and it's nice you're sharing your works with us TLB fans. I added this one to my library, too. =)
Hope you recover soon because I haven't. I've come to accept that it's ok if I don't move on/can't move on/not making effort to move.
If your video view is swarmed with moving comments, there's blue slider right underneath the screen, but above the star and arrow. Just slide that to the left, and the scrolling comments will be turned off.
I thought comments slow down on here since the finale?? I was away for 1 day and now I cant finish catching up…
I give up on over-scrolling sometimes when the forum gets very active. Comments get lost. Just start a new thread =) instead of fishing and searching for old comments.
This is one of the main reasons why I enjoy TLB so much. Almost all antagonists initially cast in negative light…
It's such a "feel-good" series. For the main villians (Khatun and Uncle Lei) whose actions are despicable, the script-writer/director are able to draw sympathy from us viewers for them. They also have positive traits. Khatun being patriotic towards Sui dynasty and love for She'er, and Uncle Lei loyalty and very likely hidden love for Khatun. They are sad by-products of the unfortunate situations they are placed in overtime.
Omg...the shooting is for 150 days....no way..hope they make it short ....I love all Lusi dramas so much..I dont…
For 66 episodes, 150 days is about right. TLB was shot in 120 days for 50 episodes (one got cut out but I'm sure they shot enough materials for 50 episodes).
This means the drama will probably be shown summer of 2022. Long wait for us fans but I'll be looking forward to it.
I'm hoping that the production team can get another great director, script-writer, and sound editing team on board. Acting is only a part of the final masterpiece because no matter how great Rosy and Leo perform, if the director doesn't know how to get the right angle, and the scriptwriter doesn't capture the essence of the original author's work, then it's almost a wasted effort. It's painful just to imagine how disastrous it could be because I really want it to be another great ride like TLB.
Overall, it's great news because the original work has really high rating.
Hmm, if my memory serves me right, A'Sun and Changge were pretty relaxed around each other early on and didn't…
I noticed this also when I watched on Youtube both the English-subbed auto-translated to French version and the French version (La Longue Ballade), both posted by Huace, the official source of TLB. The auto-translated version keeps going back and forth with vous/tu in the alcoholic scene in ep 5. But the French version called Ah Sun "Soleil" in later episodes, which I didn't like because his name represents Falcon, not Soleil.
Regardless, the drama is so good, we all can enjoy the essence of it even without perfect translation!
This is the kind of drama you would create an account for just to give it 10/10.
This is pretty much me. After years of watching asian dramas, I never before engaged in discussion or rating. I only previously came to MDL to search for infos on dramas. But with TLB, I'm compelled to create an account, rate the show 10, participate in countless discussions, and contribute to creative content.
I think, She Er had the most great character development.
This is one of the main reasons why I enjoy TLB so much. Almost all antagonists initially cast in negative light are given opportunities to shine and redeem themselves.

I only remember one scene where she called him "boss" in English translation. This was in ep. 9 in the shabby house when he gave her money, and she thanked him => "Thank you, boss." If you're referring to that, it's not in term of informal/formal language. She's calling him that because of his generosity and his fake status of a businessperson/merchant.
They never had any true informal/formal language between them. Very early on, he called her ShiSi Lang, almost like Mr. Shi Si, but the language structure of formal/informal isn't similar as in French (vous/tu), or Vietnamese, or Korean which is all very distinct.
I just thought of a couple of name blending for Dilireba and Leo. They are already being called "3088" among the Mandarin speaking communities. We don't have any for the English speaking communities.
I give you: SHEEPROCKS and SHEEPSTONES!
Rationale: Dilireba is also called "Ba Ba" which sounds like the sounds sheeps make. The "LEI" in Wu Lei in Chinese character is composed of 3-rocks/stones.
Interestingly, when I looked up Sheeprocks and Sheepstones, they are real places in the USA and the UK respectively.
Which one you like more? Sheeprocks or Sheepstones? I can't decide.
It's too hot for me to handle.
Hope you recover soon because I haven't. I've come to accept that it's ok if I don't move on/can't move on/not making effort to move.
But seriously... what am I missing out?

I re-watched TLB many times, too!

So, I totally understand how you feel. =)
