I like her voice and she uses it well. It reminds me of Crystal Liu/Liu Yi Fei in how she speaks, the pace and cadence, and of course, including the gasp. I do find it unique and charming, especially in certain roles, eg. as Ming Yi and the one in My Journey to You where she pretended to be demure.

wow..that indeed is a lot of questions! =) I obviously don't have all the answers, guess I take a stab at it. Her students are probably at the medical clinic taken care by the female doctor and Ning Fei.
Although XJY wasn't married, but I'm sure he had some kids given he slept around so much. It's possible that one of those kids was selected as emperor with the court officials help with making decisions; otherwise, maybe there were relatives like uncles and adult cousins.
FSG & FYX probably would want to have a family of their own later on. He said he would give her a big wedding 3 years later.
As for rooting out all the bad officials in court, I think they took out the heads, or the ones most likely to cause problem. The rest were just "yielding" PM Zhuang because he held too much power, not that the PM and his daughter is gone, the remaining officials will yield to the current head of power.
No mentioning of taking care of the MURONG clan, but maybe FSG will monitor the males to see if anyone plan to overthrow them. Many times, they are sent to the borders.
I've watched up to ep 5, but both main leads' acting seem forced, and still nothing original in the plot. Nothing…
I watched all the ones you listed above. Although they are all top notch dramas and I enjoyed them immensely, I actually rated Fated Hearts a bit higher. Try watching to episode 10, and if you still don't like it, then...oh well...it truly isn't for you.
