Feng Suige is literally the epitome of no effs given and I am devouring every moment of it 😂🤣 Every episode…
You bet I'm eating it all up...and please serve me a second! I like a bad-ass anti-hero, and you know it Cdramas, that's so hard to come by because everyone is playing so nicely; or at least, the director/production aren't allowed to make things too gory and violent.
Episode 17 had me screaming! 😠Yixiao looked absolutely fierce when she shielded Suige from Jingshi’s arrows…
When JingShi asked about Ning Fei and had WeiRan search for him, two things came to mind. 1) He does care somewhat about his men (the three heroes of JinXiu) and wants to rescue/retrieve Ning Fei; or 2) He doesn't really care, but just wants his general back to do his bidding.
Xia Jing Shi is hard to pin point, but he's definitely more bad than good.
the writers have been doing so well so far but with 18 episodes still left I hope there’s no silly misunderstanding…
As of the latest ep 20, FSG and FYX seem to have telepathic connection in understanding each other's psyche well. I don't think they'll have any misunderstanding. They may be separated physically for other reasons.
I do sympathize for Xia Jing Shi somewhat. Given he's the son of the late Emperor of JinXiu, he could essentially be Emperor by right, but had been abused long-term by his brother and the Empress Dowager, forcing him to become a survivalist, schemer, and ruthless. However, FYX also had a horrible childhood as a kidnapped orphan and trained assassin, but her moral compass isn't as deviated as XJS who's willing to sacrifice 300,000 civilians. I suppose he does have a bigger reward/goal, making things "costlier" and more sacrifices. Tragic indeed...
I think we are getting a new arc, and that is the rise of Xia Jing Shi overthrowing the Emperor of JinXiu. It would make sense as the next step for him...well...hopefully he finds the antidotes in the meantime.
FSG is so ferocious. After watching so many historical cdramas, FSG is by far one of the most ruthless and fierce MLs, or at least, how the director chose to present us viewers with scenes demonstrating this trait openly. We saw this in ep 1, but wow...in today's ep, he snapped Wu Jing's jaw so she couldn't bite her own tongue to commit suicide. Kudos to Chen Zhe Yuan.
The prime minister had a child who is "dead". In episode 2, he briefly mentioned how he can't even put…
Usually, you can't place a memorial tablet because the person is disowned or kicked out of the family. However, we can see that the Prime Minister do care for his late son which he seems to blame FSG for his death. I suspect his late son must have committed a crime equivalent to treason, so the PM had to publicly disown him , sever ties, in order to save himself and the rest of the Zhuang family.
1. What is Murong Yao after? He claims harming FSG was NOT part of his plan. Yet he seems to be out to kill the…
Totally valid questions...and why I enjoy this show. We think we know, we speculate a ton, and then....we still may not really know as new info are introduced.
After today's ep 20, we're getting more of XJS's backstory. I understand why he's what he is. I really don't mind at all if he ends up as King of JinXiu. His brother is seemingly a lecherous, ruthless, incompetent.
I honestly hope somehow FSG and XJS come to an agreement and rule their own respective kingdom without war. This is the ending I would like....
