Ah when she cried while eating, such a gut punch!

This was a short watch. While it wasn't fully developed, I enjoyed it =^w^=

It's been a while since I've watched a drama that made my heart hurt. So much is packed in 12eps - atypical of Cdramas. I absolutely LOVE the two lead characters and I totally understood and felt for both. It's also so interesting to see some of the parallels (e.g. DZA dad said something along the lines of him wanting the kingdom and not love while DZA wanted love and not the kingdom, or when in the end DZA and XSH played the instrument and danced and weren't great vs in the past when they were amazing). The actors are phenomenon, the micro expressions of MJ and the overexpression from ZZX were what made this a joy to watch. The dialogue is poetry and very well written.
I get why they did what they did, but in the end DZA did a lot of unforgivable things, and the way XSH went out was beautiful and painful. Talk about the most deep-cut, yet filled-with-love revenge. It was an act of mercy for both if you think about it-- a short-lived gut-punch to DZA and they get to meet again.
I'll be thinking about this for a long time T_T

MJ attitude aside, I'm glad the leads are finally getting to those hard conversations and really face the reality of what it means if JE will be flipping back and forth or staying as JH. The grandma again had great wisdom. I think true acceptance and loving unconditionally is key. The idea is similar to the Beauty Inside and that was such a beautiful movie (show was good ), you can make it, you just have to accept it.

"Happiness built on someone's sacrifice can't last long" Loved this line. Finally confronting some of the realities.

Ugh, what's pissing me off is that she said "let's be friends", "let's not be together now", and he held on to her...then he shows no spine (¬_¬)

Since I just watched Glass Heart, I had an urge to rewatch this one. Ah I forgot how much I like it!

I cried when the siblings sang together T.T

Why am I tearing up, it's way too early for that. Gun is just phenomenal.

I actually liked this. It was good till about the last 5eps -it's like they have to push the over the top melo and make it more makjang. I liked the FL duality innocent and cunning. The ML in ep.1 vs the rest of the eps was a total 180. I don't mind the ending, I think it's a befitting punishment for revenge - you get to live and suffer. I think the death of the allies was more sad for me.

There is this feeling that Miyazaki and Natsume Yujin Cho gives me - a mix of bittersweet nostalgia and melancholy. This show gives me the exact same feelings albeit this show is more direct. Such an overwhelming feeling.

This could've been 12 episode, some parts felt repetitive. but overall it was enjoyable and certain parts spoke to me about burn-out and depression. I liked the relationship between the leads.

It really depends on what you're looking for. I think it's a little too long, but I enjoyed the dialogue the relationship between the leads.

Typical Cdrama of this genre, certainly annoying attitudes at times. Overall though it's a decent watch.

Started out well and fun but became SO frustrating.

I enjoy martial arts movies and they are entertaining but calling this a "fun watch" is a disrespect to the subject matter. It's a decent thriller. Just be warned before diving in
