As if ALL horrors in ALL subgenres rely on gore and bad guys are never punished. Just because i like horror does not mean i like all subgenres and all tropes. I can also like a trope but find it either poorly executed or unnecessary in a specific story.

also, the gross part was not about gore, but more of a "feeling way too much like a tentacle porn rather than horror" scene

Not Koreans literally not knowing how to make a rom-com anymore.
Maybe I am the only one tired of the thriller/mystery/serial killer/action/any other than rom-com genre in rom-com genre 😂

It seems like a high budget drama that had not enough time for the post-production editing. Some CGI looks amazing, but some seems simply unfinished.

for sure if "inspiration" is the right word, since Island story (webtoon) existed before Bulgasal was a thing. Similarities would be more fitting?

Choi Chi Yeol is my spirit character. The whole "What I mean by natural approach is that I'd rather not meat anyone" was 👍🏻😅

I see quite a few people not liking the slower introduction and I get it, but for me it's perfect. The show has 16 episodes and it's a romantic comedy. They either need to take their time to establish characters and have a slow but natural progression and good pacing, or add random bullshit to fill that screentime 😂 Not to mention, personally I prefer to know the characters as individuals before I start seeing them interacting with each other.

The only complaint I have is the creepy stalker student. I hope she will not be there for the comedic bits, and they will truly show her as creepy and inappropriate...

I will watch season 2 and I will most likely be disappointed...
The issue I have is how... boring all the characters are. There is nothing new nor refreshing about majority of them.

Honest, the best part of the story, the character with most depth and the one with best performance was the girl who had the abusive boyfriend...

That's also when I started writing reviews for everything I watch. It helps a lot with remembering why I liked and disliked specific shows and movies.

I feel like this is one of the shows you need a good timing for.
There are shows that whenever you play them, you will have a good time, but this one needs a fitting state of mind and mood to appreciate it.

8.2 from 350 is actually pretty high.
Shows with such a small number of people who rated it usually have a lower one 🙃

Eun Ji and Shi Yoon have such a gentle chemistry going on I LOVE IT!

I'm not gonna talk more about what Ji Yeon did, I already ranted about it enough in comment section and feeds. But I want to talk about a scene from last episode.

I honestly almost started laughing when Ji Yeon started to give Kim siblings lecture about communication, when the 3 of main friends did not even have a honest talk about what happened, why it happened and what they should do in the future,. They just acted as if the argument and what Ji Yeon was doing for years (which btw also presents all of the 3 main characters lack of communication skills) never happened... 🙃

What I wrote about the ending to a friend:

"For me the idea that Dong Baek was the only one to wake up and remember everything was actually a way to for the first time give him freedom of choice. In all the past lives he was controlled by fate and pursued by Yu Dam who knew everything. While this time he has the freedom of choice - if he wants to try and get close to Yu Dam or live his live without him etc. If they get together it's because he wanted it.

For me him asking Yu Dam if he wants to eat the dinner with him was a perfect closing line, because it was the first time he took his life in his hands and for the first time it was truly his own decision.

The pacing and storytelling were really off. It's not exactly the type of story that can be told well in around 115 minutes 😅

Well, yeah. I had less issues with Milk not because he was a cat, but because he was more human and mature. It's a bit like he turn into a human after dying and going to afterlife, and got more accustomed to human life/form/emotions/thinking etc., while Choco was still a dog in "heavens" and turn human only when they went down to visit ML.

Seeing these side by side made it even more clear that the romance between Choco and his owner was disturbing. < I mean... I cannot argue with that 😅

Yeah but he was giving "mixed signals" because that's how the truly felt, not because he wanted to play with her heart or something. I feel like people are making him into the biggest playboy just because he was not completely dedicated to her, but it makes sense... they were there for a few days only. Both times he want to Inferno not with her, it was not his choice and could not say no (Min Su stuff). And when he came back she was showing how close she is with Jongwoo. For him, this would also be a mixed signal.

They both made each other unsure of their feelings. It was not just Jinyoung.

I knew she will pick Jung Woo when they showed her face after Jinyoung started to walk towards her after standing a little bit with Nadine. She was not happy, she looked worried and anxious. Since it would be easier to pick Jungwoo over Dongwoo, while Jinyoung was gone with Nadine.

I'm just disappointed he was not there from the start. He was literally the best guy, the funniest and the most mature with best approach to the show.

I find it fascinating how apparently being honest makes you dishonest. Best example: when Seulgi asked Jinyeong if he made a choice who to take to the paradise for the last time and how did he pick them. And he honestly answered he will pick someone he is curious about. I feel like many people see it as a push and pull mind game he is playing... when dude literally honestly answered a question he was asked. It makes perfect sense he would be curious about more than one person when they spent so little time in the island. Not like they've been there for month and he had close connection to any contestants. Both him and Seulgi were curious/interested in 2 people. It's not like Seulgi was dedicated to him only and rejected everyone else 😂

The two of them were literally in the same situation. Had 3 people interested in them. Clearly, many times rejected 1 person. Were the most interested in each other, but also curious and spending time with their 2nd pick ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
