Putting that and sighing aside, I like it a lot. Especially Heart and Li Ming's story. I also cannot wait for Alan to mess shit up - First is so attractive 👍🏻
She actually made me want to rewatch three body right away, to pay attention to a few things she mentioned.
As for the review, writing it was pain in the ass - how to writing how amazing the show is without any spoilers, when literally everything I say about it seems like a spoiler? 🤣
For now there is only one trainee that I truly think needs to have a spot in top9 and debut:
Keita - preferably as leader, because he is one of the most all rounder ones, he is relatively young, but also have years of experience so he can connect to younger members and get the respect from older one, and he already showed some leadership skills and potential. There is literally no downfall from him being part of the group.
As for Hui... I mean... Ji Woong is practically his senior in kpop, since he debuted one month before Hui did 😅 People have valid high expectations towards Ji Woong because he was in the industry for 7 years, and if we add the training time before his comeback, by now he should be as close to all-rounder or at least ace in one of the skills...
What I'm saying is, it's fair to be more critical about trainees who already debuted, especially the ones who debuted years ago in terms of their skills. I'm a massive fan of Hui, he is ace in singing and producing, but it's also true that his dancing is good, but not great and nowhere near the trainees that specialize in dancing. And realistically speaking I don't think he can improve that much in this show, if he did not in past 7 years + training period. It's more about finding his footing, and knowing how to cover up the areas he lacks in with the ones he is skilled in.
Cube completely suck at dealing with controversies and they cannot even keep their lies straight lol Loosing a member because of the controversy was never THE reason any group disbanded, it was the failed reaction from the company after. I mean, look at kpop past 2 years, a lot of groups are losing members left and right, and the companies just work around it and tries to do whatever they can to deal with it. While Cube just gave up.
Cube is to be blamed for what happened. Pentagon had comeback on September 10 in which Dawn was already excluded from. The confirmation of the relationship happened on September 13. What it tells me? They like idiots decided to make the comeback happen before they dealt with the conflict between the company and two artists, so the comeback was planned without Dawn from the start.
The conflict on how to deal with the dating must have been there for some time for them to plan comeback without Dawn. they decided to keep going and make the comeback happen before ending the conflict - be it with ending the contract with Dawn and Hyuna, or coming up with differently conclusion. I don't know... they just went: whatever happens happens, and hoped for the best lol
As for Ji Woong - no issue judging his skills, the show is literally about that. That's how we are all making choices on who to support. And comment section is open for any type of discussion, not just hype about the guys we like.
All that said, I also have no issue with your comment, but since you are addressing a specific person who said it, you should have just reply to them. You have an issue with what they said, you should tell them that.
2. Some had no training, but have a lot of potential and with proper training can catch up to a lot of other contestants (does not happen often, but damn it's a perfect marketing story)
3. They have to add some bad trainees for the first elimination, they are literally there to fill the seats.
Also, I heard mnet actually had problems with getting this number of trainees and they did not really had the luxury to pick and choose around, but that's just something I read in comment sections in different places, might be a completed lie.
Also, mnet is so behind on what people truly want to watch. Wholesome content is literally what people look for now. Everyone is stressed, overworked, the global economy sucks and it only gets worse. There is a reason so many people say they like the happy and cute moments in this show the most. Everyone is just fucking tired lol If they actually focused on the positive interactions and the support the trainees give each other instead of the rivalry, how good the show would be?
Not to mention, these trainees need to know how to work with each other, understand each other's learning style and pace etc. If they keep separating the trainees, how the fuck will they work together after debut, when they never mixed during the show in terms of collaborations?
