So I've been asking around friends how old the characters are supposed to be, because I get pissed off every time they start joking about Jim's age (I'm Earth's age). But then everyone said he is almost 40 and I lost it, what a clownery 🤡Earth just does not look the age at all. Them emphasizing the age gap that does not really exist in real life is just so funny, it takes me out of the story completely. Also, to make it truly convey how dumb it is: in the show Earth is supposed to be 20 years older than Fourth 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Putting that and sighing aside, I like it a lot. Especially Heart and Li Ming's story. I also cannot wait for Alan to mess shit up - First is so attractive 👍🏻

Who was the terrorist who complained about the sighing? I hadn't noticed before, and now I can't NOT hear it,…
once i noticed the sighing watching yesterday, I almost closed my laptop. Like... it was so excessive - they started or ended half of their lines like that 🤣

Review Three-Body
An easygoing and direct review, exactly what’s needed with a show as heavy and layered as this. I too blow steam…
Avenuex is amazing. Cannot wait for the live stream about sci-fi in c-dramas and movies
She actually made me want to rewatch three body right away, to pay attention to a few things she mentioned.

As for the review, writing it was pain in the ass - how to writing how amazing the show is without any spoilers, when literally everything I say about it seems like a spoiler? 🤣

Apparently yes, 2nd season based on 2nd book and also a spin off series about Shi Qiang's character. But it's…
We all have different tastes and like different things, it's fine. For me this was top notch entertainment, but I can totally see how it could be too slow and even boring for someone else.

Is it not to improve his skills? < i mean... he is here to survive in the industry, not really for the training…
I honestly did not think about it yet. I have some trainees that caught my attention, I knew some from other shows too. But based on just these two episodes, it's impossible for me to pick top 9 because I honestly don't know the skills and potential they have.

For now there is only one trainee that I truly think needs to have a spot in top9 and debut:
Keita - preferably as leader, because he is one of the most all rounder ones, he is relatively young, but also have years of experience so he can connect to younger members and get the respect from older one, and he already showed some leadership skills and potential. There is literally no downfall from him being part of the group.

I'm pissed that they are doing their best to show Hui in bad light. His strength is his singing and they literally…
Like, give them a week to remember the choreo, and then compare the end result from the ones that learn fast and slower. Because if you stress out about forgetting the moves, obviously you won't give 100% of what you are capable of. But when you are sure you know the moves by heart, you can dedicate all the focus on the presentation, compared to trying to remember what next.

We can stop if you find it not productive. Just want to say that you are the one that mentioned Hui in your initial comment, that's the only reason I used him as my example. There are other more fitting example: Sung Hanbin - failed to debut, but still managed to gain a lot of experience and polish his skills by becoming backup dancer.

It was one comment in the sea of compliments... All I'm saying is, your comment was not about hyping Ji Woong, but disagreeing with another user. You could explain why you think Ji Woong is good and improving, without linking it to a specific comment below, especially since you already replied to them.

As for Hui... I mean... Ji Woong is practically his senior in kpop, since he debuted one month before Hui did 😅 People have valid high expectations towards Ji Woong because he was in the industry for 7 years, and if we add the training time before his comeback, by now he should be as close to all-rounder or at least ace in one of the skills...

What I'm saying is, it's fair to be more critical about trainees who already debuted, especially the ones who debuted years ago in terms of their skills. I'm a massive fan of Hui, he is ace in singing and producing, but it's also true that his dancing is good, but not great and nowhere near the trainees that specialize in dancing. And realistically speaking I don't think he can improve that much in this show, if he did not in past 7 years + training period. It's more about finding his footing, and knowing how to cover up the areas he lacks in with the ones he is skilled in.

Hyuna and Dawn are to blame for Pentagon being where they are. That dating scandal ruined Pentagon. Their doing…
That's painfully simplistic way of thinking about this issue. Maybe I would agreed if Pentagon was the only group with failed management and marketing in Cube, but it's not.

Cube completely suck at dealing with controversies and they cannot even keep their lies straight lol Loosing a member because of the controversy was never THE reason any group disbanded, it was the failed reaction from the company after. I mean, look at kpop past 2 years, a lot of groups are losing members left and right, and the companies just work around it and tries to do whatever they can to deal with it. While Cube just gave up.

Cube is to be blamed for what happened. Pentagon had comeback on September 10 in which Dawn was already excluded from. The confirmation of the relationship happened on September 13. What it tells me? They like idiots decided to make the comeback happen before they dealt with the conflict between the company and two artists, so the comeback was planned without Dawn from the start.

The conflict on how to deal with the dating must have been there for some time for them to plan comeback without Dawn. they decided to keep going and make the comeback happen before ending the conflict - be it with ending the contract with Dawn and Hyuna, or coming up with differently conclusion. I don't know... they just went: whatever happens happens, and hoped for the best lol

I didn't watch the girls version but I wud assume as the show goes on, the whole global vs korea thing will be…
then what is even the point in putting them against each other in the first place, when by the end it's meaningless? All these shows are complete copies of each other with small tweaks ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ separating trainees will not fool anyone 🤣

I saw a comment that said Ji Woong is not as good as people make him out to be. First of all no one amongst these…
Is it not to improve his skills? < i mean... he is here to survive in the industry, not really for the training itself. He just got out of the military, Cube gave up on Pentagon years ago, and their contract ends this year. He said this show is his only chance left.

As for Ji Woong - no issue judging his skills, the show is literally about that. That's how we are all making choices on who to support. And comment section is open for any type of discussion, not just hype about the guys we like.

All that said, I also have no issue with your comment, but since you are addressing a specific person who said it, you should have just reply to them. You have an issue with what they said, you should tell them that.

you are not the only one - somehow its bland. i am thinking of the previous produces and what made trainees stand…
the editing is even shittier than it used to be. < this for sure. I was honestly surprised while watching episode 1, with how trash it was, I never saw any show be this bad in terms of directing and editing lol

ep2 thoughtsfirst of all… i HATE the push to pit the k group and g group against each other. it’s just weird.…
I'm pissed that they are doing their best to show Hui in bad light. His strength is his singing and they literally show no clips of the vocal training and only focus on his shortcomings. Also they associate slow learning with bad dancing which is not correct. Learning choreo fast is a good skill, but it does not always correlate to the actual dancing skills.

I have a genuine question- how does mnet pick their contestants? like one contestant didn’t have any prior dancing…
1. Bad performances are often the joke and highlight of the episode.
2. Some had no training, but have a lot of potential and with proper training can catch up to a lot of other contestants (does not happen often, but damn it's a perfect marketing story)
3. They have to add some bad trainees for the first elimination, they are literally there to fill the seats.

Also, I heard mnet actually had problems with getting this number of trainees and they did not really had the luxury to pick and choose around, but that's just something I read in comment sections in different places, might be a completed lie.

You know what I don't get about this concept of K vs G groups? It's not like either only K or only G trainees will debut, this whole rivalry makes no sense when at the end they are suppose to make one group.

Also, mnet is so behind on what people truly want to watch. Wholesome content is literally what people look for now. Everyone is stressed, overworked, the global economy sucks and it only gets worse. There is a reason so many people say they like the happy and cute moments in this show the most. Everyone is just fucking tired lol If they actually focused on the positive interactions and the support the trainees give each other instead of the rivalry, how good the show would be?

Not to mention, these trainees need to know how to work with each other, understand each other's learning style and pace etc. If they keep separating the trainees, how the fuck will they work together after debut, when they never mixed during the show in terms of collaborations?

I'm so happy to have watch the full performances without cuts before the episode cause mnet really did some of…
"Also it was nice to see some great rappers this ep!" me thinking how they maybe showed one rapper in the episode, and how I for sure need to watch full performances on youtube 🤣

Not to sound rude or anything but while I was watching episode 2 I felt like some of these trainees were there…
I mean... it's mnet. They could have been working for 71 hours with no break, and chilled for 10 minutes before they died, and mnet will air that 10 minutes 🤣 These shows are impossible to form any opinion about majority of these trainees "attitudes" coz mnet sucks 😅
