Gun was a creepy lol Honestly no charm. I blame the writing and directing (mostly directing).
Also, if you can movie out of a book, you can have 4 eps and good storytelling hahaha this whole 2 shows 4 eps each "series" is one disaster after another.

the consent part... how i wish it was a prominent part of all BLs...
"constant loud and slapstick sounds" I notices they use it a lot in BL, as if the audience is too stupid to understand the jokes so they have to be told: yes, that was a joke, you can laugh now.
As for the pedophilia... the main guy wasn't underage right? so it technically cannot be classified as pedophilia. + the lived... but he didn't really age... he had so body nor brain that could age. If we want to go on technicalities... his mind would kind of be "frozen" in the age he died, without any chance of maturing and developing more...

but yeah, everyone being so chill about ghost romance was quite funny hahahaha

As someone who is extremely clueless about any sport, this drama was perfection. Just as you I was never confused and I think they explained all the essential parts well.
character developments never felt preachy < exactly. It amazes me how I loved some I truly hated at the beginning. But it was gradual and organic change that made me appreciate them. It was never some random plot twist or 180 without proper reason.

If they made a movie out of the first case, it would be an easy 10/10
I loved the ending... but |I kind of want the continuation of the story too hahaha

I feel you one almost never being hooked from the start with Chinese dramas. It usually takes few episodes for me to know if it's something I will enjoy. But I did love Fairyland Lovers since episode one too! It had that nice spark in it.

It did feel draggy byt the end tho, I agree with you. I think it would be better to just cut few episodes and make it shorter...

it was 10/10 for years for me, and then I rewatched it...
Do Yeon was actually my fav character out of them all! I loved how flawed she was and the small improvement she did to be a better person, but not really a nice and lovely girl (she was still a bit on an arogant and overconfident character by the end, and it was cool).

Review Why R U?
UNREAL < YAS. Fightor for life. Damn. I think because both Zee and Saint were so dedicated to improve their acting and they both took time to teach each other certain things and they studied the roles a lot to understand the characters, we got such an amazing chemistry :)

he's a treasure for sure < yes. treasure... in my heart... till the day I die. Zee is love.

the screentime they got was a bit... offensive < you are being so nice. It was such a laughable mess how little time they've got hahaha

Because Zee is hot as fuck< YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH AND I APPRECIATE THAT! hahahah

Review Life on Mars
I'm not gonna lie: I had the hardest time getting into this drama... but when I started liking what I'm watching, damn it was good!
The writing was brilliant. I was questioning everything and still could not find the answers myself!

Same... this drama at some point started to feel flat... when we all understood that the plot doesn't really lead to anything.
As for the main couple: I liked them together BUT I think overall Yoo Jung was miscast here. She just looked too much like a baby.; When they guys were calling her noona, it was just funny and not believable at all...

Review A Poem a Day
The romance between Je Wook and Bo Young was amazing! There was no fireworks between them, no random bickering to make it more interesting. It was as realistic as possible.
she wasn't trying to hide her sensitivity! YES! I know many people hated how much she cried, but I loved that. Her crying was just accepting her feelings, it didn't make her weak. She cried but she stood strong and worked hard.

Mature relationship with lost of communication. We all love it. They were both a bit eccentric but they accepted each other differences and worked around them to make the relationship a good one.
and i actually really liked Cindy by the end of the show hahaha

scarlet and jihwan are my couple of the year!!!!! I fell so hard for Lee Jae Wook coz of this drama. His character was so amazingly sweet I was melting.
Agreed on Tammy and Morgan. Closer to the ending their scenes just bored me... they had amazing chemistry first half of the movie, but it was dying down as we progressed with the plot...

Review Watcher
just... yes to that all. The "acting driven story" is spot on. I'm not gonna lie, I kind of enjoyed it, but damn I had to turn my brain off a few times...

not funny character... but... but... he was so funny hahaha I laughed so many times coz of him, even tho it was not an intentional joke hahaha
as for the ending, yeah... I mean I didn't treat it as much of a horror from the start (felt more like superhero movie lol) so the end boss fight like in a video game scene just made me laugh haha

Review Mr. Sunshine
"a ragged disheveled playboy that loves "beauty" and hates hard work" gosh I had a soft spot for him. I disliked him at first, but as the drama progressed I just could not stop myself from loving him so much.

oof... this is like one of my top dramas hahaha Even after few rewatches it's still 10/10 for me haha
past Yoo Ah In's hair! DAMN you right! His look the "the past" is to die for. It took me a while to accept the style they gave him in the present.
I wasn't that much of the romance too tbh. The present one. I love everything about the past story tho. I "kind of" excused Jeon Seol obsession and giving Se Joo all the 2nd chances simply coz of the "reincarnation" past connection bit. I rationalized it in my head I guess hahaha

lol are you stalking my reviews xDtbh watching 2020 dramas makes me miss this, I feel like people are underappreciated…
i'm just slowly checking reviews of people on my friends list.
It's fun to read other people's opinions + I'm trying to improve my review writing "skills" so I'm checking out how others do it :D

For sure Man Weol was THE STAR and the center of the show. She was one of the few things I actually really liked about it :)

"a movie or 4 eps would've been enough" I thing it would feel rushed tbh. I loved to see how slowly Jong Woo starts to lose it and was waiting for that final "snap". If the drama was shorter, the ending would feel a bit anticlimactic for me.
But I do agree on some side characters and them not bringing that much to the overall plot...
