Unfortunately, they cut a lot... a quarter of the drama :( 8 episodes are missing.
Yeah, I am fully aware and it's quite obvious those were mostly the side stories of other characters and the nuances of Luan Nian and Tao Tao's relationship in last 4 episodes.

It's obvious they had to cut some of the story to make it 24 eps but I feel like they managed to leave the essence of it as a story of two flawed people on different stages of life, from different environements going through all the good and bad to be together.

You don't have to be perfect to be worthy of love.

The rating for this drama should definitely be higher! I didn't even notice when I was watching episode 10, it's well paced and both the main and side characters are likeable. Nice and lighthearted watch, definitely recommend!

Just watched episode 13 and these are my thoughts: This man needs to learn to think before talking, he kept spewing…
His bestie is actually THE bestie!

I can't stand their inability to communicate; honestly, at this point, I feel like choking them both lol
I’m also frustrated, but at the same time, I get it. If he were just her boyfriend, she probably wouldn’t hesitate so much to speak up. But the problem is that he’s also her boss.

She’s doing her best not to mix her private life with work, but that’s exactly the problem with a power imbalance. In this particular situation, with their personalities, circumstances, and goals, it’s basically unsolvable.

ATP I think ml have split personality… how can he be so sweet in first half of the episode then say such things…
I believe he’s starting to act out as soon as he becomes afraid of losing her. It’s a toxic reaction, and clearly something he learned at home from his father. It’s actually very well portrayed. Most toxic people aren’t bad at heart, and they’re still capable of love.

You can’t be a loser! If you’re about to lose - attack faster and harder.

Since she’s the person he cares about the most, his fear and, unfortunately, his toxic reactions are at their highest. This man needs therapy. ✌️ It may be a very hard and long road, but he can change. Just not with her by his side.

He needs to overcome this on his own so that he can eventually give her everything she deserves.

I was thinking that Luan Nian needs to put a sock in it since he cannot seem to be able to talk nicely, but he…
My forehead hurts from how hard I facepalmed watching this scene.
Duuuude, you somehow manage to make everything worse when you panic. 😭

Every person needs such a good friend that Luan Nian has to give them the big time reality check if you act as a piece of sh*t. You can tell that thanks to him Luan Nian is slowly realizing his toxic traits but that's too bad because at the same time Shang Zhi Tao is getting fed up with the his bad treatment.

What can I say? Go girl, live for yourself! No love is worth more than your self esteem! If you won't stand up for yourself, no man will treat you well.

As for Luan Nian, he needs this shock factor to finally get himself together. I just really hope that when the break up happens, she will not go easy on him and will make him taste his own medicine.

That may be the very first time I just can't wait for the separation arc to happen 😅

She's wearing the sweater with the white dog on it and according to all the trailers it seems they will have a white dog in the future :)

also, we've completed episode 10 and they've just started dating...how are they gonna show us their situationship…
So far it seems like this drama is really focused on the FL and their relationship, no side stories so I would say it's managable :)

this drama is doing well in a lot of countries on netflix to my surprise lol. no western countries though unfortunately.https://flixpatrol.com/title/the-early-spring/
Lack of subs, I am afraid.
I'm watching it in ENG in my country because I changed the settings to see not only stuff in my language but also in English. Otherwise I wouldn't be even able to see it on the main page or via searches. What's more interesting, there were cdramas airing with Polish subs, e.g. Perfect Match. I am so sad it's not the case for The Early Spring, people are missing a lot :(

About ur third point, modern cdramas almost always have totally unrelated side plots
The 4th one is the owner of the place they're renting as I understood. And I have similar feeling about the male roommate, I guess it's possible there will be some drama because of that, if her female friend falls for him.

Title The Early Spring Spoiler
Why is it always they got together, broke up due to some misunderstandings and then meet after some years and…
If executed properly, the second-chance romance trope brings tension and mystery: how and why did they split before, and whether, when, and how will they get together again? It also creates so much potential for great character development without making things feel rushed or fake.

Poor execution of this trope is just boring because everything becomes very predictable and shallow. That’s why good acting and well-written characters and relationships are extremely important here.

This one is like a breath of fresh air. It’s a workplace drama with the second-chance romance trope, but it still feels intriguing. They meet as grown-ups, but they’re at very different stages of their careers, which creates an imbalance. But does he really have more control in this situation? The physical tension is what starts this relationship, but when you watch them from day one, you start to wonder... is it really just physical tension? Or did they find something in each other that they’ve both been missing?

Both characters are complex and nuanced. It’s not like the FL is all too perfect for her own good - she still has her own goals, despite being very young and naive. And she’s LEARNING (drama makers, please, take notes on this one!). But there are also things she finds difficult to control, despite being fully aware of the consequences of her own decisions.

As for the ML, he may seem like a red flag at first glance, but the more you watch his actions and listen to what other characters say about him, the more you notice that it might just be a mask he’s wearing, probably to protect himself. I’m so curious about how and why he became like this. I still believe there’s much more to his story.

I’m an absolute sucker for well-written, not-too-perfect characters with some depth, and so far, it seems like this drama is absolutely nailing it, giving them layers I’m delighted to unveil.

I’m just praying for this drama to deliver until the very end.

Idk there’s something about her that makes her seem sly beneath that innocent façade.
Because she's just young in a completely new environement ;) Let's give her some time

Just so you know, if she had no feelings for him, this would have been workplace sexual harassment and the song…
Yup, but she fell immediately the first time she met him.
And she's been dreaming about him in not-so-workplace-appropriate-way ;)
She may look innocent but she's a grown up woman after all.
