Any other recommendations? I watched Fake Til You Make It, Remembrance of Things Past, Tale of the Rose, Will Love in Spring. In Between is on my watchlist. I am literally craving for more dramas like this.

You're right, I didn’t express myself well. I do know such people exist, but as you mentioned, in this drama, it’s exaggerated to the point of feeling like a 'superpower.' While some people are exceptionally in tune with others’ emotions and possess high emotional intelligence, that alone doesn’t make them perfect partners—especially if they can’t manage it properly. They’re still human, with their own issues. That said, being an empath has its perks too.

I suspect Shi Ye might have some attachment issues. While he’s portrayed as a very independent man, it feels like this might not just be a character trait but could also hint at a deeper underlying problem.

After watching the preview of EP9:
Looks like we will get more details about O Chan Hwi and probably his past. I can't wait, the 2CP is really growing on me.

As much as I enjoy this drama and love the ML, I couldn't agree more with this statement. Let your standards be realistic, there is no such superpower that makes a person read other people's emotions/minds.

Make sure to genuinely love yourself first.
Learn how to communicate effectively.
Set boundaries, and don’t let others cross them freely.
Keep good, kind people close, and don’t waste your time on those who don’t care about you or your feelings.
And most importantly, don’t forget about the first point :)

Exactly! Even though they knew each other for only a short time as teenagers, meeting her made him start questioning himself. She played a part in shaping the person he is today, and I absolutely love this trope.

Zheng Hao is the kind of guy who has been deeply dependent on his mother and blindly followed rules to achieve success and earn respect. He’s a bit of a tragic character—lacking substance and emotional depth. His inability to detach from his rigid mindset is reflected in how he completely misunderstands the FL and what she’s been trying to communicate to him for so long. He doesn’t grasp the concept of empathy (yet?). I’m really hoping to see significant character development from him. Right now, he’s all about goals and the means to achieve them, without considering the emotional cost.

As much as I hate this trope, it also kinda makes sense in this particular case.

It may seem that she's done with her people pleasing approach in life, but I suppose she can be still afraid to hurt others, especially close ones, with her actions. Xiao Lan seems like the closest person she's ever had, of course she will be afraid of losing her.

My only hope is it's not gonna be dragged for too long. One or two episodes would be fine for me to manage this situation, but making it a big issue between FL and ML will make me annoyed, ngl.

Smile Code is not even close to the level of this drama when it comes to the quality. Smile Code is enjoyable, that’s for sure but it lacks depth this particular drama has.

But I also think those two differ in the target audience, so that makes sense.

The scene when their talked outside of hospital was so good, I had to save that quote about awkward moments in life. This guy is so insightful and I can’t wait to find out what happened to him after she changed schools and how he started to do standup himself.

Absolutely, it’s a strong candidate to be the best contemporary cdrama of 2024 for me.

I agree, 8.7 definitely seems to be too low for this masterpiece. I devoured all 27 episodes in 3 days. The story, acting, visual effects, fighting scenes, OST - everything about this drama is making it extraordinary.

It's gonna be the same but made by Tencent instead of Youku? It doesn't make sense, even the director is the same person. Curious, what's it all about.

Daaamn, by the end of ep6 Minju made me blushing and kicking my feet. Lee Jongwon is absolutely winning my heart with this role. Romcom is romcoming!

I am genuinely enjoying this one. The empath part makes this drama so refreshing even tho it's a classic Korean rom-com.

I have a feeling iQIYI might release this drama within the next few weeks to salvage what has been a pretty lackluster lineup this year.

At least Fangs of Fortune was good (I loved it), but most of their other dramas just didn’t hit the mark. I have really high expectations for Moonlight Mystique—the trailer and Sa Dingding's song gave me chills. It has the potential to be a major hit.

From 8 main characters, only 3 made it till the end. We lost Zhu Yan, Bai Jiu, Ying Lei, Li Lun and A'Heng. They all died in the last 5 episodes. What a wild ride that was, I am still not okay.

But it didn't end there. They didn't even spare Wen Xiao's dad, bad guy Zhen Mei who had a last sad but sweet moment with Bai Jiu, our doomed couple Qing Geng and Fei (guy kinda died for the second time). And Ao Yin gave her life to save Li Lun.

I would say, I knew what was coming but I still wasn't prepared at all for this amount of trauma in the c-trauma.
