It felt like too much of a work-in-progress for me—unfinished and unfulfilling. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate realistic dramas, but this one felt incomplete, almost as if it were setting up for a second season. Sadly, in dramaland, that’s highly unlikely. Honestly, I found his character quite attractive, despite his personal struggles. Toward the end of the drama, he showed self-awareness of these issues, especially when his stand-up performance became more of a heartfelt confession.

I agree, but I really liked how comfortable they were with each other when they first started dating. Their relationship felt so natural. Shi Ye recognized his issues and decided to work on them in last episode. I also noticed he’s more introverted, even though he’s been a stand-up guy for years. Performing seemed to be his way of expressing himself. Additionally, I was a bit disappointed that we didn’t get more insight into his relationship with his mother. Overall, his character could’ve been developed in a more interesting way.

But they made: „they gonna compete for her both in a fair manner”. Umm… okay? But it’s not about the competition, it’s about whoever she chooses? Ehh… 2024 is a cursed year for the cdrama’s ending.
Yes, but it’s not the main focus of the drama, if you would ask me. It’s more prominent as the drama progresses. Anyway, chemistry is definitely on top and we also have the 2nd couple.

I think his marginal role in the last episode speaks volumes.
