Treating your partner like a child not like an equal partner is also some form of abuse from my perspective. You’re not allowing the other person to be decisive and with your people pleasing tendencies make them having some kind of „debts” they haven’t even been aware of.

They would be much better as friends (ofc if he would let go of the idea of her being his love interest). She’s never really been into him. I don’t say that love has to be always all butterflies but in their situation it looked more like a convenient decision than the start romantic relationship.

After episodes 17&18 I came here to give a big shout out to the parents. They’ve been giving wise advices. Love how they also went through the character development.

There is one big difference between him and Su Su: she’s extremely honest and distanced. She’s not trying to please people for her advantage. Her personality is not fake.

He’s doing the exact opposite and I think Rose’s father summarized it pretty well - he’s too good to be true so you’re not able to see who he really is and in the future he can blame Rose if anything’s going to happen to their relationship. He will probably mention all of the things he’s done for her (despite not being asked to) and make it all her fault.

What he really lacks is authenticity.

I started to like Ruoyao, she's got a potencial for a good character development. No soft spot for Ji Shuran

Ji Shuran’s character got so much depth thanks to today’s episode. I love well written villains! Can’t wait for her fall tho 😅

I think they’re supposed to be like that. Finding a good partner may take a lot of time and includes failed relationships.

The FL tends to have a shallow relationships in general, what we can see from the beginning. She had no real friends before meeting SuSu.

SuSu and her brother may be considered the only characters which she’s been having some deeper relationships with.

I don’t think she knows what the real intimacy is. With the first boyfriend, it was mostly the physical attraction. Their conversations were mostly so sugarcoated and shallow. Also arguments were never solved with mature conversation, just pushed back to backfire in some time.

With the second one, I feel she’s gonna settle because she’s just going to be manipulated that „this is what true love looks like”. She’s going to rationalize it. I believe her family may take a part in her future decisions, too. „He likes me and treats me well, so he must love me” - but does she really love him? From the beginning their vibe was all on the friendship side.

Waiting for the next two guys to show up and the FL to get better understanding on how the good quality relationship looks like.

You are not able to really get to know the person in just one month. I believe his premature death may only cause her to idealize him in the future. Judging the person by his acts in the honeymoon phase, without getting to know their „everyday” side will not bring any good.

She had this problem before with the first boyfriend, it really took her a long time to even want to see his true colors. They were living in delusional state for a while just to hit the reality when he left to Paris. Like, guys, what did you expect to happen? That one of you will sacrifice their life, drop their career and choose to live with the another? „You promised to find the solution” was just to phrase to keep themselves from the truth.

The healthiest character of this drama is the brother. He’s mature, has his flaws, of course, but his actions usually consider other people’s feelings. Su Su couldn’t find a better partner. I see from the trailers that we will have „ex is back” case, but I trust they will made it through and make their relationship even stronger (that’s what happens with good relationship when facing the problems).

Can’t wait for the pilot character to show up, too. I have a high hopes for this one. I don’t know if he’s supposed to be younger than the FL but that would be a nice touch if he would show up as a man with good personality showing that maturity is not the matter of age at all.

Yup, for me he’s a total creep. His current attitude looks like a mask for me, let’s see if he’s gonna show his true colors.

It’s nice to see her getting mature but I can’t help but feel sad for her loosing that spark and enthusiasm. Her heart was broken too soon and she didn’t have enough time to really settle in the first relationship she had. As her mother mentioned, this relationship ended when it was still in a honeymoon phase what makes it even more heartbreaking.

Tbh FXW was scary in this scene. He literally lost control and I had this weird feeling like his mask of a nice and composed boy slipped showing some darker side of him.

He gives me creepy vibes. I wasn’t a fan of the first boyfriend as he was quite egocentric but oh lord this one is even worse.

The scene in restaurant when he lost control was also pretty off putting. Let’s add stalking. Oh, and when he was telling her and her mother his sad story about his background I found it extremely manipulative. He has some very obsessive tendencies towards her.

People who appear to be nice and kind but have this darker and secretive side are the most scary to me.

The OST for Legend of ShenLi is a masterpiece!

Am I the only one who thinks he looks like Yang Yang's older brother? I'm watching Eternal Love right now and in some scenes the resemblance is uncanny!

Is it even possible? Or we gonna have the same situation like with Lost You Forever and they will split it into 2 seasons?

It makes things even worse, I have no words which can describe how awful person that old b* is.

Didn't read the book and tbh I am avoiding to know what type of ending it's going to be. I prefer to be surprised (even if it's going to end with myself laying down and crying a lot).

She's just a spoiled brat who's trying to get the man she can't have. That's how I see it, there is no love involved in this situation, at all. The infatuation, at most.

Is it possible that Ruoyao is not even Jiang's daughter but the result of the affair between Shuran and that painter? That would also be a good explanation why Shuran was so willing to kill him - to protect the secret. Only those two know that they slept together (that's what I assume).

Additional point: Ruoyao is also artistically talented (playing the qin). Sus?

I am also wondering who is REALLY using who in this duo. I am starting to believe that Yurong is no less psycho than the princess, just smarter and more cunning.

I couldn't stop laughing on his pouty face, it's adorable. The switch between "deadly serious and dangerous" to "cute and pouty" is so smooth when Jiang Li shows up.
