It is from the same series of books. It has no ending either. Its like watching the first 475 pages of a 700 page book, that is the 5th book in 10.. Rather then get bent (yes I WAS salty) I am now just going with it as a slice of life. That being said Tribes and Empires is fabulous. Filmed on location all over China. Zillions of incredible fashion and architecture. Cinematography only rivaled by Nirvana On Fire. I loved Tribes and Empires. The Uncle is great villain.. Remember how shock you were when the Emperor killed everybody. Well there are some in Tand E that will surprise you even more.
Love all Novoland. Never liked the main lead because I don't like my heroes to cry so much, okay. I like the ending WAY WAY better than my beloved Tribes and Empires. But I am kinda getting useta these series that are just a slice of life. So if there is no season 2. I will survive. This author does a great job with drawings distinction between the tribes. If you like the detailing of Novoland, The American Fantasy series, The Wheel of Time is excellent. Its starts out with three male leads but by the second book there are more women in action than men. You read the Wikipedia page about it series. Now I think I will watch Novoland castle in the Sky just to refresh my self before season 2.
24 episodes! Are you kidding??? I am on epi 7...seven...seven! And I am exhausted. OMG I could never have made it watching this once a week. I did that with My Golden Life and it was upsetting having to wait. Okay I am going back in.

I really didn't understand your comment before I watched this mess. So many people said happy ending, so i am thinking what is this chicks deal. NOW that I have seen the end I am like WTF! Did I just watch 15 minutes of montage and he just shows up in the last 3 minutes!!!!!???? WTH! I like Chen Bolin, but I did get tired of him constantly looking like he just lost his puppy. And he always looked like he needed a bath. Anyhow you were spot on.
Why does the second female leads hair change color constantly...sometimes it changes when she goes from getting in the car ...to getting out of the car. They should put that hair dye on the market.
