I can maybe arrange a shared dropbox folder or something. I only have one album on me right now though.
Well, I think part of it is just different ways of showing respect. There's one teacher in the gyomushil who strictly scolds students if they don't insa properly upon entering, which is rather often. So, I guess teenagers everywhere like to push limits a little ;)
But I agree, I hate the increassing disregard for others :( It's one reason I'm afraid to drive.
Agh, bonfires are so funn!! I hope you get to ride soon :)
I took a really long nap today, almost 2 hours :) Enjoy your sleep! We played badminton for three hours, then ate lunch and napped, and then went to a sashimi place! It was sooo good! I need to diet next week :/
They have Saturday classes, but my contract is only or Mon-Fri, so I don't have to go unless there is an event or something. I did have a fantastic day! Actually, I just finished writing you a letter :) So, we should trade addresses, and I will mail it Mon or Tues! (Did you already send me yours? I will go check the messages...)
Have a lovely Sunday!

Glad you liked them! There wasn't much of their stuff on youtube, but they also do non-worship stuff.
Yup. Not even gonna try Bridal Mask. Sorry, kids.
Yeah it is...teachers in Korea are very respected, unlike in America, so even people older than me sometimes treat me respectfully. That may be the weirdest. How is life?
Not good quality sound, but two of my favorite songs :)
Yeah, maybe so. Morning dramas are like that in Japan, anyway. Ah, Bridal Mask, ok! Yeah, I would start watching Good Doctor, but I'm not really into medical dramas. That's the only reason I haven't watched Code Blue yet.
Yeah, it's weird...there are around 500 students at school, and all of them have to bow and greet me if they see me in the hallway or outside, or anything. So everytime I go anywhere or anyone comes into the office (which is a lot)...I just get bowed to a lot. In Japan, I did all the bowing!

That's pretty cool! Ah, Hong sisters, got it :)
Well, I just moved to Korea in July to work for awhile, and we were required to do language classes for a month. Right now I'm trying to study on my own/with the help of my host family.

Wow, your brothers watch dramas too? That's pretty cool! I'm watching Akai Ito for the first time, and rewatching You're Beautiful because I found a transcript of it and I'm trying to do listening practice in Korean. Is Master's Sun a history one?

Ah, so good! Michael Card is really amazing! Some of his albums are jazzy, are some are more celtic influenced, but it's all folksy sounding. Andrew Peterson has incredible lyrics.
I don't have any Matthew West stuff personally, but my roommate loves him :) Oh, and have you heard of Caedmon's Call? I think they disbanded already, but were my middle school go-to. Ooh, that song sounds good, I'll have to check it out!
Akai Ito is really sweet :) And since it's so old, some actors I haven't thought about in awhile are in it which is kinda fun.
Oh, wow, 80? Is it like one of those morning dramas? All of my students are obsessed with Joo Won (is that the right spelling in English?) and Good Doctor right now.
How did your first day go?? I survived my first week at school!! I'm doing exchange diaries with 183 11th grade girls :D (among other things). I have so much to tell you! Be expecting a rather long message one of these days ;) Oh, and I have my permanent address now, so I can start sending you real life letters! If I can remember to make it to the post office >< They are only open 1 hour a day when I'm not working, and so far I haven't remembered.
But yes, in a nutshell, moving was pretty smooth, my host family is pretty wonderful, and my new school is really chill and always some kind of shenanigans are going on :) How is your new workplace?

Sorry, sorry! I took way to long this time!
My mom used to be in orchestra, but she's a pianist primarily. I don't like rap much either. CCM...do you know Michael Card or Andrew Peterson? And Chris Rice. How about you?
Ah...so I keep getting derailed from Kdrama...halfway through Akai Ito, and it's good! 35 min. episodes for the win! And watching them in chunks is working out :)
EYK...I only watched a few episodes, and I cherry picked the ones I thought might be useful before coming to SK. I thought they were good, but you're right about the humor.
How was your week? Mine was hectic, but rather wonderful ;)
To add another unrequited love story starring Yamapi: Sore wa, Totsuzen, Arashi no you ni

Me too! My mom's a classical musician, so I grew up strictly on religious, classical, and folk music. The last year of high school I barely started listening to other stuff, and I still feel kind of out of the loop on music. Rock is my favorite contemporary style. I used to not like pop music, but I'm getting more and more ok with it.
That's a good idea, actually. I used to only watch half episodes due to lack of time, but I guess I could do it on purpose, too ^^
Is EYK a recording studio? A broadcasting studio? I must go google this now...

Gahh, I'm really glad you like his music for some reason! Recently I'm starting to appreciate 80's music more, including some western music which I previously disliked, go figure. But I really like his stuff too, it's really melodic imo.
Oh no...it might take me two years to watch it if episodes are 75 minutes long! Agh. Maybe this fall I can attempt it.
Hmm, at this point there is so much bad blood between them, I understand why the militaries at least are "hostile". But at the same time, the SK people are mostly really considering NK people as their family and compatriots. Actually, someone who was helping us this weekend referred to Kim Jong Il as "my brother", since they have the same family name; it seems like a pretty complex dynamic to say the least.
Oh, and the meeting room we visited, they've had some historic meetings in there, including "the bladder war". Basically, they had a conference which lasted more than 11 hours because neither side wanted to be the first to get up to use the bathroom because it would show weakness; ever since then, all meetings have a mandatory break every two hours.
Hmm, no I don't think I saw it, but I wasn't looking for it either, and I don't know what it looks like. But maybe I can keep an eye out for it when I come back to visit my friend ;)
I basically had the best day ever! I can tell you more later, but I really need to sleep now ^_^
I'm looking forward to what God is bringing for the both of us :)
Hmm, maybe it means the address has changed, as in they moved building? Irdk!
Thank you, I can identify a lot with your problems, haha!

Here are some bitter sweet ones, cause I'm feeling a little nostalgic today...I don't know if you like live or recorded tracks better, but I'll let you pick; the vocal quality is better on the first one, but he is so emotionally expressive in his live performances, so sometimes I prefer those.
Hmm, Fondant Garden is TW though? I haven't watched one of those yet!
We went to the DMZ today...so surreal. I felt like I was in a war movie. I have now technically set foot in NK, and been only a few yards away from a NK soldier.
And then we met up with our teachers in Hongdae, which is like the party district, and went to Itae with my friend (the place in Coffee Prince with all the waffle shops). Tomorrow we're going to church in Gangnam, and hopefully I'll get to meet up with my good friend I haven't seen for two years now.
You could do it too, probably, if you wanted. I'm really not particularly brave, it's just how life is heading right now.
I watched the Party is Over somewhere last summer, I don't exactly remember though...
Orange Days is so good!! You should watch it :)
My favorite Narimiya film is the special Kaze no Shounen, about Ozaki Yutaka. He just does an amazing job acting in the film, and he sings, too!

I had such a hard time finishing the K version the first time because it was so long, even though I loved it. It had a lot of great parodies. I liked the ending of Ikemen Desu ne much better, but the characters of the manager and the president and the stylist, they kind of ruined for me ><
Yeah, KMSD I almost didn't finish. It was sort of musical, though. Ah, I'm something of an Ozaki fan, so I can send you more songs if you want ;) I liked the special because of the music, and because it was a biography.
Tatta Hitotsu is my absolute favorite. I need to watch it again. I tried to start watching it with my roomie before I left, but we just didn't have time :( And it's too sacred to me to have her miss out on the full experience by skipping episodes when she fell asleep during them.
Ooh, someone else mentioned Fondant Garden to me before...is that a romcom?
P.S., I'm in Seoul now!

Oh, haha!
Yeah, I saw Ikemen Desu Ne, and then a couple months later, I had the tv on as background noise during summer break in Japan one day, and they had a random dubbed rerun of something on. I looked up, and some guy was being chased by a pig, and I thought it looked very familiar...and eventually I figured out that there was a Korean version of Ikemen Desu Ne, so I watched it dubbed in Japanese and that was my first Kdrama.
I haven't seen Dream High, but it's on the horrendously long ptw list. Have you seen Nodame Cantabile? That one was good, but really crazy along the lines of Hana Kimi. I've watched a couple like Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake that sort of had to do with music or bands or something, but not too many.
The three I really love are Tokyo Friends (awesome OST! Otsuka Ai!) which is about a band, Bandage (pretty wonderful OST, also about a band), and a special called Kaze no Shounen (which stars Narimiya Hiroki, if you know him) about the life of Ozaki Yutaka, who was an incredibly talented solo artist in the 80's and 90's and unfortunately died really young. (You should watch this, if you don't know him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_dX253G1j8&list=PLBsqSza0irZIJQhfOcqPIgvbn-TCeMVJx)
