I ended up liking Save Me and The Package too! Save Me was addicting and I loved the main couple in The Package. Partners for Justice was "unexpectedly good" for me, and Lee Yi Kyung was hilarious in it. I actually liked the 1st season more than the 2nd one..

yeah Come! Jang Bo Ri.. I am watching that now :D At first I didn't really like the first 4 eps but it was addicting after that! I tried the c-drama version of it but I just couldn't get into it. CJB is more addicting for me and I love the Korean actors more!
I´ve watched because of meeting you and i liked it, and i have been trying to watch jang bo ri....but i keep…
CJB is way better for me, it is more addicting as a makjang (the episodes actually end in a cliffhanger instead of being cut in the middle of a scene in the c-drama) and the characters are funnier here. People probably rated the other one higher because of the romance but I feel that the Korean actors are more memorable than the Chinese actors.
I should've waited to binge this too - I wasn't that attached to this drama until around 30 episodes in but now…
Daily dramas always get hate/low rated anyways especially towards the end (at least for the ones I've watched) Someone said the leads have no chemistry/bland acting but I shipped them and always looked forward to their moments. And someone else saying Oh Hye Won is "overacting" well I think she is doing fine, of course villains are supposed to be more exaggerating??
I tried to watch this one since I love Come! Jang Bo Ri and was curious about this but I prefer the k-drama! Random thoughts: - the Korean actors are more memorable/fun for me, especially Oh Yeon Seo, Kim Ji Hoon, and Choi Dae Chul's characters, I find them hilarious. I just can't seem to connect with the Chinese actors here. Oh Yeon Seo stood out more because of her permed hair, accent and manerisms but this FL feels ordinary (and she is so skinny too!). Also where is the funny side couple here that I loved in CJB? - CJB is much more addicting as a makjang even though they're the same plot, the antagonists felt more "evil" and each episode always ends in a cliffhanger to make you want to watch the next episode meanwhile in the c-drama it ends in the middle of a scene which feels lazy to me (but this is the style of c-dramas, I guess) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - CJB has warmer lighting/feel compared to this one which is brighter but feels "colder" for some reason. CJB is more emotional at times, like compare the last scene in ep 24 with BOY ep 23, CJB used more emotional background music and BOY's splashing water scene looked like slow motion/forced - this one seems to be making it look more like a romance drama based on the drama poster & title? feels like clickbait lol. The FL also falls in love faster here too. I originally watched CJB because it's the same writer of The Last Empress which I also got addicted to, so I was looking forward to the makjang part of the show more than the romance but this version doesn't feel as engaging based on what I've seen so far.
ok I finally tried to watch some of the c-drama but the overall vibe feels bland/not as addicting compared to CJB based on the # of episodes I've seen. Random thoughts: - the Korean actors are more memorable/fun for me, especially Oh Yeon Seo, Kim Ji Hoon, and Choi Dae Chul's characters, I find them hilarious. I just can't seem to connect with the Chinese actors. Oh Yeon Seo stood out more because of her permed hair, accent and manerisms but the c-drama's FL feels ordinary, like if they casted any other actress it wouldn't have made much difference. Also where was the funny side couple that I loved in CJB? - CJB is much more addicting as a makjang even though they're the same plot, the antagonists felt more "evil" and each episode always ends in a cliffhanger to make you want to watch the next episode meanwhile in the c-drama it ends in the middle of a scene which feels lazy to me (but this is the style of c-dramas, I guess) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - CJB has warmer lighting/feel compared to BOY which is brighter but feels "colder" for some reason. There's a typo "Nam Guy Ri" lol I haven't seen Cruel City, Suspicious Partner & Remember: War of the Son but I agree with some points on both sides for the ones I've seen. I'm still trying to finish Mr. Sunshine, the first episode drew me in but the overall plot does feel slow, like it's a lot of talking. lol @ the dog and housekeeper, I loved Ahn Hyo Seop's character too. The K2 was good at the beginning eps but I got bored halfway and the romance felt forced? I shipped JCW with SYA instead. I also got bored of HPL too, there were some decent parts but the plot wasn't that interesting for me. KJW looked hot in this drama though :3 I also got annoyed with the crying over past lives in Goblin.. the bromance, cinematography and BGM was the best part of the show. I didn't really ship the main leads, they looked more like uncle/niece to me with their age gap so I felt awkward watching their kiss scenes ( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°)
It is definitely worth watching if you enjoy rom-coms/fantasy stories.
only watched 7 eps of CLOY, was bored for the most part until the end of ep 6 got more exciting and I was more a fan of the second leading actors than the main. I thought I would be bored of "military" dramas but I actually enjoyed DOTS more than CLOY
third week in and i'm forcing myself to watch it. i don't feel connected to any of the characters or feel intrigued…
I feel the same. I only liked EP 4 & 6. Some of the main characters feel more like supporting characters, like they don't have much stage presence compared to SKY Castle/TWOTM characters... Woman of Dignity was also a murder mystery but it had a much better start than this one. I'm still continuing to watch since I'm curious if this can beat TWOTM ratings.
"over the top, lots of arguing and shouting" lol +catfights & bitch slaps (Roy Leh Sanae Rai) I like "revenge" or slap/kiss, ever since watching Hua Jai Sila last year - mainly because the plot reminds me of makjang k-dramas which I get addicted to :D I'm watching Kleun Cheewit (at 10 eps) but I'm not as addicted to it as with HJS even though I like the strong FL... unpopular opinion but I don't really get the hype over this and Bpoop Phaeh Saniwaat (at 9 eps), I'm actually enjoying Ruk Laek Pop more (at 11 eps)
"evil mothers, crazy second female leads and over the top plot lines" lol this sounds like makjang which I get addicted to/never get bored of :D I usually like to drop within the first 4 eps if I'm not feeling it, usually I can tell by the first few eps if I'm going to like the drama or not. But other reasons why I try to hold on to it: - maybe it starts out slow, but it gets better later - I like the actors or screenwriter - comment section is more entertaining than the actual drama (this is a rare case but it happened with TKEM) - or if I watched half of it already I feel like I want to finish it anyways
after completing it .. I wonder .. what is the meaning of ( Sister Is Alive) ?! I didn't find anything in the…
I'm watching Come! Jang Bo Ri, am at around 20 episodes now and loving it. The couples are hilarious xD Choi Dae Chul & Woo Hee Jin reminds me of the side couple in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (similar cheesiness, funny dialogues)
Have you seen the Chinese remake of it? I wonder if I should watch it to compare but I hardly watch c-dramas and I still love the Korean actors more, they make the show more lively/memorable. Kim Soon Ok's humor is on point for me (I was so addicted to The Last Empress too last year, waited to binge it after it finished airing) now I am gonna finally give this drama a try too. I love the excitement of watching makjangs than some popular/hyped dramas lol
