Recommendations

Both dramas are mainly about revenge, both have the same male lead - Yoo Seung Ho as student (but in Remember he'll become a lawyer) and in both dramas he has tragic past.

Both of these dramas feel very similar: college/university life, social problems, bullying, misunderstandings and betrayals.

If you want to continue with the medical style of drama, the first one which springs to mind for me is 'Doctor Stranger'.

This drama will keep the theme of the medical side but it opens up a good factor of different things that we can expect in a drama series. The acting - as like in Doctors - is second to none and the entire plot keeps you pulled in.

It also keeps the side of mystery and the past - which is for the viewer - to unravel!

Both movie are using different forms of mixed martial arts. Judo, boksing, wing chun, karate and much more. Both movies are honoring the above arts because both lead actors studied these well and peformed them greatly in the movies.

Both dramas have similar feels in the hospital setting and both don't have romance. But Life is more about political matters and don't have so much surgeries as Heart Surgeons.

Both are about the dreariness of working life (amongst other things), told in a humoruous way. Both are quite entertaining, despite the low production value compared to prime-time Kdramas.

Many reasons revolve around the protagonist:
- protagonist of low(er) status takes on the role of the emperor
- falls in love with empress
- initially happy-go-lucky
- idealistic, wants uphold justice/equality for the people
- naive in his actions to achieve ideals, suffers because of it
- struggles with harsh reality of palace politics and human nature
- struggles with reality that he can't create a happy ending for everyone

The rest is pretty standard for almost any historical drama:
- fight for throne
- power struggle between different groups of nobles
- revenge
- assassination
- deception
- etc

The main leads in both stories time travel to different eras- meeting prominent historical characters e.g. the Qin Emperor. Love transcends lifetimes storylines with alike magical elements e.g. immortals.

They're both about the experience of ethnic Koreans living in Japan. Go is essentially a coming-of-age movie, while Our Homeland is more of a family drama.

Both female leads are bullied at school because their fathers were accused of murder. "A Stray Goat" is a lot darker though.

The main character in both series are doctors and their work is a major focus. A lot of the issues that the main characters have to deal with in their interpersonal relationships are similar.

Finding love while dealing with strained family relationships, job hardships and fighting a serious illness.

People who are connected by past events and situations are destined to meet. Organ transplants cause unexplainable familiarities.

Both the dramas is focused on a child with leukemia and on his efforts to not let people around them worry.

I find that a lot of the situational drama in My Strange Hero to be eerily similar to the drama in School 2013. Lots of pulled heartstrings for all the students in both dramas' "wildflower" class. Where My Strange Hero has a strong lead romance, School 2013 instead focuses on one of the greatest bromances of all time. Both dramas are a great watch overall.
