Both movies give off a similar vibe with their execution and plot reveal. the stories come together in a strange way. and ofc the cinematography is visually stunning with confessions being more complex. girls in the dark is like ddlc meets confessions. amazing watches
Obviously the similarity is about the theme, a robot. Apparently the male protagonist is an actual robot and falls in love with a human girl.
Both of them talk about the importance of relationships in our lives. Even though The Happy Loner has only 2 episodes, it perfectly depicts the struggles of the main characters, their hardships and how they change each other after their meeting just as in My MIster.
Both feature main character with glasses protagonist (Ryunosuke Kamiki) both are based on famous manga.
Both are about famous petty theieves, pirates during Edo period. Both are based on famous historical manga.
Both with a really cute couple. Love triangle that can make you have second lead syndrome. Light hearted comedy.
The comedy reminds me of Strong Woman and it has the same kind of ridiculous moments that would never happen in real life, but are super hilarious to watch. The two shows are cheesy, but incredibly funny and entertaining. They both have the employee and boss relationship that ends up as a romance. There is a nice love triangle and those fun sound effects as well. They are both comedy and romance with some mystery. Not to mention, there's a rich male lead!
Both are about countryside restaurants, making tasty recipes, searching, finding happiness along the way.
Both are based on famous novels.

Both take place in Japan & Hong Kong, both are about a chef woman running restaurant & learning, making tasty recipes
Excentric rich male CEO falls for female staff assistant who aids and supports them, bringing balance, clarity, and meaning to his life. A jealous scheming counterpart and a female whom everyone thinks is a better match for him.
Plastic surgery causes memory loss for main character. Mystery and melodrama and romance ensue. Lots of secrets get revealed.
Both dramas are dealing with serious social problems (media impact / status of women in society etc.) and dark side of depicted professions (manipulation of medias, dilemmatic court cases).
Both are historical dramas with fun female leads to watch and really attractive main leads who IMO both have great chemistry to keep you invested. Also both have annoying side characters but nothing to drastic to keep you from watching
Both suspenseful crime thrillers feature a male detective and female police officer working for a special unit that involves her supernatural ability that can help predict or prevent crime.
The overall feel is very similar in both series. Jealousy Incarnate has better (or more developed) support characters but Wok of Love has more charismatic leads. Here's a list of other, more specific, similarities:
1. A love triangle takes part during a good chunk of the story (it gets resolved faster in Wok of Love).
2. FL is inspired by ML to try something new (out of their confort zone).
3. ML becomes the FL's mentor, begrudgingly at first but they grow to like their role.
4. Second male lead is sweet and helpful towards the FL from the start.
5. ML and FL find common ground in undergoing and sharing a similar experience.
6. The FL is funny, charismatic and a bit unconventional (which is very refreshing). They are also active in pursuing the ML.
7. ML and 2ML share a strong friendship.
