Similar to Moo Jin, Sang Pil knows little of politics, but is thrown into an occupation in the field due to unforseen circumstances. Both dramas deal with protagonists in new jobs who navigate them with sincerity and grace. The found family trope is also strong in both dramas, and the characters have great sets of support systems around them!
Big boss 1 and 2
Both dramas they are childhood acquaintances and their family are friends/ know each other
In the starting (in big boss) the girl wasn't happy that he was in her class (skate into love ) the boy wasn't happy to see her a little bit
Both dramas have two boys one girl and are a comedy
Lastly the boys fall in love first
And these are great dramas to watch

Since Kuroda Kanbei was the strategist for Hideyoshi, both dramas will share many similarities. Gunshi Kanbei tells more in depth on the western politics and spans until Sekigahara War. Takenaka Naoto also played as Toyotomi Hideyoshi in Gunshi Kanbei. Although the writing for the character was a bit different.
Korean adaptation of this drama. The same premise with more of a cohesive direction. I wouldn't call it an exact 1:1 remake as aspects of the story have been changed.
Toshiie and Matsu (TAM) is like a spin off of Hideyoshi in terms of writing, but told from the perspective of Toshiie/Matsu. Character of Matsu in TAM was much more like One in Hideyoshi.
Same Male lead
Fighting corruption
Office politics
Honestly, any drama ranking 8 and above with this male lead is gold so I would suggest just clicking on his name and watching the dramas with him.

Both deal with varied perspectives of family values as and how lgbtq romantic relationships might be nourished or be destroyed when external opinions hold a lot of weight for those involved in the romantic relationship.
The actress are both a princess and goes into another setting where she becomes a servant to the male lead. The male lead is an immortal and falls in love with the female lead after undergoing tragic experiences.

They both have a not so close family at the beginning.

Both of these dramas are a comedy family and romance drama
And they have a lot of plot twists

Unlike Hotel del Luna, the plot is not centered around romance(although there is some romance), but they are similar in a different way.
- Both dramas change the perspective of the viewer through unconventional ways: Hotel Del Luna uses ghosts while Prison Playbook uses prisoners. The stories of the ghosts and their path to redemption teach us many lessons about life and its value. In a similar sense, you find yourself immersed in the lives of those wrongfully imprisoned and largely misunderstood. As these dramas incorporate a new and creative way to tell their story, they both deliver outstanding effects and full emotional rollercoasters.
- While the genres are vastly different, you find that boiled down to their cores, both shows teach a lesson about growth. The character development of the leads is outstanding and highlights the importance of those around you, as well as inner stability on the journey of self discovery.
- As Hotel Del Luna deals with fate and the supernatural, Prison Playbook merely plays on misfortune and human treachery.
Overall, one would not immediately draw parallels between the two, but when comparing them in terms of basic themes, there are lot more similarities than expected.
