First of all is the protagonist once again played by Choi Woo shik. The characters are giving a similar vibe. The drama is also an adaptation of a webtoon, but with 60 min. episodes.
It's not about BL, but the overall humour and feeling are very similar!

This is the upcoming remake from Thailand that is based on the 2005 Korean version. Esther Supreeleela and Lee Da Hae are quite similar in their acting styles and look, so it's quite possible Esther will live up to the role.

What would a man give up for love? Is it really about destiny and fate?

Leading lady plays in both dramas. They both ask the question what would you risk for love?

Similar casting and this is like a reunion. The theme is strength and gallantry.Haru Satonaka is the captain of an ice-hockey team, a star athlete who stakes everything on hockey but can only consider love as a game. Aki Murase is a woman who has been waiting for her lover who went abroad two years ago. These two persons start a relationship while frankly admitting to each other that it is only a love game. …The result is the unfolding of a drama of people with their respective pasts and with their pride as individuals.
Secret Door's King Yeong Jo and Cruel Palace - War Of Flowers' King Injo share a lot of similarities emotionally and in portrayal of characters. Both kings are portrayed very human and with lots of emotions, fears and scars and fragility. Both kings were enthroned by a coup. Also their relationships with their sons are very similar too, with very conservative fathers and less conservative sons. Also, I'd like to say Cruel Palace's Crown Princess is almost like a female version of Secret Door's Crown Prince Sado. Both dramas are very political and I feel that if you liked one you will like the other.
They have the same feel about them.
-Self-discovery and one's passion for cooking
-Both have obstacles trying to stop them (the competition).

Both movies are from the same director and deal with the Zainichi Koreans in Japan who have ties to North Korea.
Both male leads are some kind of CEO of a company
Both female leads want a job under the male lead's company
Both female leads are 'different'/act 'differently'

Both main roles are just enjoying food. Thought Samurai Gourmet is a little more in-depth and less ridiculous. But still both shows are very enjoyable.
Similar plots - high school setting, girl falls in love with the class genius, a love rival (severe second lead syndrome here) and the plot progresses to university and beyond
Both dramas deal with matters of royal and imperial harems. But the story in Cruel Palace isn't limited to the harem itself as in Legend Of Concubine Zhen Huan/Empresses In The Palace. Cruel Palace deals a lot more with politics. If you want a drama that deals with the harem but it is not entirely about that, maybe you should give a try to Cruel Palace.
Both have same leads, as I was watching I felt same type if thrill in both. Actions are wow!!!!!!!
and both are about spy.I had great time watching.

In both, main leads are carrying their past life memories to make correct their present. Both drama shows strong bromance.
They are both supernatural stories about the female lead having a special power, in Black it is the ability to know when someone is about to die while in SWDBS it is super-strength. Both have a cold detective trying to solve mysteries surrounding them. Both dramas also have a rich playboy pursuing the leading lady. Both dramas have strong female leads, comedic elements, and thrilling moments. If you liked Black and want something a bit more cheerful, give Strong Woman Do Bong Soon a try!
