Both drama related to time travel and chef. The leads is expert in cooking. Both drama also got some comedy scenes like both leads' reaction when they arrived after time travel. For Cinderella Chef, the lead got into past time by using time travel machine while in You Lan Hu Zhi Yu Chu Jia Dao got into present time (reverse time travel) due fall into a lake.

The story of these dramas has a lead actress who really wants to have a stable life but because of the problems their lives end up living without a house to live and refuse to return to their parents' houses and after that they meet the lead actors who look like robot in a flat and boring life.

- the main male characters were in a way both former soldiers that were kind of dishonorably discharged.
- they both had to go and take on a new identity and a new name to start over
- they both have similar fighting skills and similar action scenes.
-they both get involved with a older woman that has a higher status and secret.

It's also xianxia and it's also extraordinarily well written.

As with every fantasy drama especially, a lot of animating and cgi needs to go into the production since the setting includes places like Heaven, Hell, and various other "realms". The realms were all animated so well, and while there are TOMPB vibes going on (esp. the flower realm and the heaven realm), it stands distinctly on its own beautifully.

The characters are also similar in that they make you so emotional and the feels are very real.
