First of all is the protagonist once again played by Choi Woo shik. The characters are giving a similar vibe. The drama is also an adaptation of a webtoon, but with 60 min. episodes.

It's not about BL, but the overall humour and feeling are very similar!

This is the upcoming remake from Thailand that is based on the 2005 Korean version. Esther Supreeleela and Lee Da Hae are quite similar in their acting styles and look, so it's quite possible Esther will live up to the role.

Similar casting and this is like a reunion. The theme is strength and gallantry.Haru Satonaka is the captain of an ice-hockey team, a star athlete who stakes everything on hockey but can only consider love as a game. These two persons start a relationship while frankly admitting to each other that it is only a love game. …The result is the unfolding of a drama of people with their respective pasts and with their pride as individuals.

Secret Door's King Yeong Jo and Cruel Palace - War Of Flowers' King Injo share a lot of similarities emotionally and in portrayal of characters. Both kings are portrayed very human and with lots of emotions, fears and scars and fragility. Both kings were enthroned by a coup. Also their relationships with their sons are very similar too, with very conservative fathers and less conservative sons. Also, I'd like to say Cruel Palace's Crown Princess is almost like a female version of Secret Door's Crown Prince Sado. Both dramas are very political and I feel that if you liked one you will like the other.

Both movies are from the same director and deal with the Zainichi Koreans in Japan who have ties to North Korea.
