Both stories generate from the main characters orchestrated downfall, which forces them to seek revenge on those responsible. However, although it's understandable, they at some point become just as corrupt as those they are seeking vengeance upon. Ultimately, they have to choose... justice or injustice.

Signal although is based in different cases, there is one case based in tha infamous Miryang case and if you're interested there is Han Gong Ju another dark movie about the same case, I recommend you to watch both the movie and this drama you won't be disappointed

Well....there are so many similarities that I can't even write them all because that would spoil them. What I will say is:

-Both females leads are low born and are interested in a form of art, while in Dong Yi it's music, in Yi San it's painting.

-Both female leads fall in love with the king.

-Both dramas have a second lead who is a brotherly figure who eventually ends up forming one sided feelings for her the female lead, and she'd known him since she was a child.

-Both female leads are forced to lose their brothers at a young age.

-Both dramas have a powerful villain who at one point was queen.

-Both female leads develop close relationships with the queen of the king they have fallen in love with.

-Both dramas will make you cry, though you'll most likely cry a lot more in Yi San, because Dong Yi is a bit happier.

Basically, both dramas give off the same kind of feeling because after all, the SAME writer AND directors who produced Yi San produced Dong Yi, and vice versa.

if you're into drama with women power , and dramas that focus on women in their 30's and their problems, you should try watch OMHE and DJS.
the story is different but they have the same vibe.

They are both revenge dramas. It is pretty much the same story, only with a female main lead.

If you're looking for another crime drama. This is the one! Signal is more of a thriller, while Missing noir is more of a Twisted mystery Drama with Thirller and suspense sprinkled on top. And by twisted, I mean dark and well thought out murders that are memorable to me to this day. They take leads from very small evidence which I couldn't have thought of. Very unpredictable. Side note:There is no supernatural element to it so its pretty realistic

They are both high school students who have to live together because of a circumstance and end up liking each other.

Both set in high school days, all end up living together and start to like each other.

Both have two people ending up living together because of a situation and ending up falling in love with one another.

Maybe the tone (hana no kusari is darker) and the genre are different, but the main point/ main twist is quite similar ....

Although sword of legends is in Chinese, both dramas have the same historical/fantasy setting and the two leads and stories are similar in many ways.
