Amazing Drama to Start the 2024!
This is it! My most amazing drama to start the New Year of 2024!Much has been written about this engaging drama that oftentimes, I am always at loss on what to write here.
People are giving their reviews on details; that I am always impressed of their skills in knowing everything about this drama.
As I still quite knew to C-dramas, I can only write a brief review here.
"Different Princess" is one such show which I am totally engaged in; this is my first time to watch a show on the so-called "transmigration" and I find it as an interesting story line; that I even want the episodes to be longer than episodes 36.
--- Song Yiren as Hua Qing Ge and Ding Zeren as Ji Chu; the leading leads nailed their role perfectly as much as the supporting casts. I give also full credit and to the crews, notably the director and the scriptwriter of this show.
--- As it is always said: "we came to watch a drama to be entertained and to enjoy it"; and this drama never disappoint me; it give us full enjoyment to watch and be totally engrossed on it.
We need Season 2 of this Lovable Drama!

Gladly, this isn't the case here. This drama is sweet and not over dramatic. Some might find the push and pull game boring and think it's dragging too long but there is a reason for that. The cast are good and have chemistry. Maybe the best thing for me in this drama is the lead's smile. It's melting me.
In conclusion, the drama is not bad. It won't be the BEST drama you have even seen but it's sweet and if you have time, give it a try.

To me, this is one of those underrated shows that seems to pass under everyone's radar. Nobody really seems to know this drama is out there and its a shame because it is really good and adorable in its own way.

When My Boss and Beliefs Collide
This drama brought a refreshing balance to slow burn romances. The FL was young but not weak. She might be naive in romance but not standards nor boundaries. The ML was brilliant in strength as a boss and mentor yet soft when important. The nuisances within office relations, social norms and relational hesitation were relatable and heartfelt. The SFL as an antagonist was short lived but handled awesomely by the ML and SML. The supporting cast was very good at keeping the flow of the storyline. The growth with the FL was conveyed well. Even when the leads had conflict, you could still feel the 'heart' in it all. The unveiling of the 'bad eggs' was right on time and a twist that was enjoyable. The ML continued to grow in emotional intelligence which made the ending scenes cheer worthy. This series has a slow pace but is solid and worth the watch.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Melancholic Youth Drama
Based on a novel by Katsuse Masahiko, Matsumoto Hana's “The End of the Pale Hour” follows an unnamed protagonist that just graduated from college and is about to enter the workforce. He meets a young woman, and we follow him as he falls in love, makes friends and struggles with his monotonous life.Kitamura Takumi perfectly portrays the young man's enthusiasm, growing disappointment and apathy over the years. His portrayal feels genuine, and the male lead's relatable struggles make it easy to connect with him, even if his character is quite the passive guy. Kuroshima Yuin is excellent as his love interest, and they both had very convincing chemistry. Inoue Yuki as the Naoko, our main lead's upbeat friend, was easily my favorite character. Their friendship made for some heartwarming moments.
The End of the Pale Hour is an empathic depiction of heartbreak, growing up, and a realistic portrayal of the struggles that come with working for a big corporation and finding your place in the world. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. While the first half was light and sweet, the later half shifts in tone as our male lead has to face reality. Personally, I thought the twist was well done and gave this movie another interesting layer. Apart from the wonderful performances of the cast, I also really enjoyed the soundtrack that matched the youth theme and melancholic atmosphere of the story.

This One Won’t Blow Your Mind, But You Might Finish It Anyway
Plot ReviewThe plot isn’t bad… but let’s not pretend it’s groundbreaking either. It’s your classic mini drama storyline—predictable enough that I could mentally fill in the blanks while folding laundry. I gave it a shot anyway because I’m weak for anything that screams revenge, and to be fair, it wasn’t as bad as I feared.
At first, I panicked thinking the FL was going to end up with the 3rd prince (don’t act like you weren’t thinking the same!). I seriously thought Huai Jin was the one who slaughtered her family. Turns out—plot twist! Wait no, never mind. There was a twist, technically… involving a bodyguard… near the end… and that’s it. Don’t blink or you’ll miss the one exciting reveal.
Cast & Characters
The main leads? Strong. Capable. Not annoying. That alone deserves a medal in dramaland. But somehow, even with all their power poses and meaningful stares, none of them really grabbed my attention. It’s like ordering spicy noodles and getting... mildly seasoned rice. Fine, but not what I showed up for.
Supporting characters? Background wallpaper. No one really stood out, and I couldn’t even be bothered to remember their names. They were just there—like side dishes you didn’t ask for but eat anyway because… why not.
Villains? I’m so desensitized from years of cdrama watching that these villains felt like diet evil™. Not threatening, not hateable—just... meh. I think I was more irritated by a fly buzzing near me than anything they did.
Acting & Dubbing
No hate to the cast. They're clearly trying. But there were moments—especially when the FL kept smirking during emotionally intense scenes—where I genuinely wondered if her lips had a side quest of their own. Like, girl… someone just died. Why are we out here giving Mona Lisa with attitude?
And oh, the dubbing. Technically synced with their lips, yes. Emotionally synced with the actual scene? Not even close. It was like hearing someone read a recipe while acting out a breakup.
CGI & Final Thoughts
The CGI was decent! A little over-slid in places but nothing offensive. Honestly, it added some flair to a pretty standard story.
Would I recommend this? Yeah, weirdly… yes. If you're into light revenge, strong leads, and don’t mind plotlines you’ve probably seen in three other dramas last month, it’s a solid watch. Don’t go in expecting your next obsession, but it’s definitely not a waste of time either.

A simple or predictable story with good acting and execution is better than a complex story that loses its direction. For that reason, I decided to give the story a 9 because of how well the drama developed, even though the story wasn't out of the ordinary. The first few episodes were a little slow and melodramatic (major turn off), but it redeems itself quickly and prove to be really entertaining. Despite the sad theme, the drama managed to be both funny and positive. This is one of those longer dramas that actually get better and better as it progresses.
Acting:
Everyone acted pretty well. I particularly watched this because of Moon Chae Won, but I quickly found her character boring and unlikable. It was my first time watching a drama with Han Hyo Joo and she was really natural in her role as the female lead; it almost seem like the positive part of her role matches her real personality. Her scenes with Lee Seung Gi were definitely the highlights of this drama for me.
Music:
The music was adequate. I don't miss it or anything.
Rewatch Value:
I would specifically skip scenes between 2 characters if I were to rewatch this. I think it'll come obvious when you watch it too. However, I think the rest of the drama really made up for it.
Overall
Thinking about all those scenes that I enjoy makes me want to give this a 9. However, the scenes I disliked just went by so slow that I wouldn't even want to sit through it if I was occupied with other things. For that reason, I give this drama an 8.

This show not only made me laugh out loud uncontrollably but also made me cry at the heartwarming parts. This show is mainly comedy but also has some romance in it. But if you're hoping for them to be in a relationship before the last few episodes, don't get your hopes up. It also has some episodes with some mystery but not a whole lot. Anyways I really recommend this drama. You won't be disappointed!

Long Vacation is a real gem. It amazes me how the story and the characters are so forward and even though it such an old drama, the emotions still remain the same. It is timeless. The actors, every single one of them, have brought justice to their characters. I would really like to applaud the casting team too because the actors' appearances compliment the characters and also thank them for casting Takuya Kimura as Sena. This drama has a simple plot, it doesn't have an evil villain, it doesn't have any smidge of thriller and supernatural aspect unlike dramas nowadays, it is just a story about people. The characters and their growth is what makes this drama shine. All the main characters are incredibly different from each other and they somehow still complement each other. I absolutely love their clothes in the show too and oh lord, Takuya Kimura in those shirts with that hair //swoons
In the beginning, I didn't care about Sena? Sena was just another guy. But with every passing episode, I grew attached and I silently and sometimes not so silently began rooting for him, praying for him and scolding him. Sena's sincerity in everything, his hard work and his sensitive nature are all incredible qualities of him I admire. I loved to see him break down his walls. The way this drama, in just 11 episodes, has portrayed Sena's growth is beyond words. He is just one of my favourite characters of all times now because he is so human- he is fragile yet strong. His relationship with Minami intrigues me so much because on paper they are two incredibly different people but in reality, their compatibility is no joke. The mutual respect and understanding they have for each other makes their relationship strong. They are each other's shelters and let me tell you, when you find a person like that, facing the world gets easier. I just love Sena so much and goddd I can't even begin to rave about how Takuya Kimura is a gorgeous, amazing person with such a charming smile!!!!!!!!!!
About Minami, I didn't have much expectations with her when she made her entry into Sena's house. She just seemed too loud for my liking. I was wrong. People might think Minami is aloof, but infact she is always aware of her actions and she is always a responsible woman. She carries herself with dignity, refusing to back down and take shit from anyone. Her positive outlook on life is something I am quite envious of. In the coming years, I aspire to be a strong woman with a shit load of courage like her.
This review is getting long because I have so many feels rn but I'll stop now.
All in all, if you are having thoughts about whether to watch it or not, just do it really, you'll absolutely love it. Warning- you might end up crying about Takuya Kimura's smile but no regrets there really

sobbing crying screaming ?
idc what people say, it was different from of1 but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. I watched the last two episodes bawling my eyes out, especially with Jack dean and Romeraffy. Love my AouBoom getting recognition finally and seeing Romeraffy interacting with Sandray🥹🥹they’re so similar but so different at the same time. And about Boston, I think he had his season, he was in this season as a secondary character and for us to see his change and maturity, he conforted Tua when he needed it, he helped couples and he broke the cycle.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Waking up in the bed of a handsome man after a drunken night. A Cute and endearing story.
Story: Mao was secretly dating someone at work. However, when she found out that her boyfriend was cheating on her with a co-worker, she impulsively went to a bar and got drunk. The next day, she woke up to find a handsome man who had also been at the bar next to her! She also learn that she is now his wife. This drama was just beautiful and endearing. I loved all the characters with all their shortcomings. And I was very pleased to wait to watch each episode of this drama weekly.
I was pissed at some and happy about others. And we did not have those crazy "ready for anything to get the Male Lead" kind of Second Female Lead. What a relief !!! I was tired of those lately, after watching several J-dramas. I was happy the woman figure wasn't tarnished in this show.
I loved the secret romance and rooted for the leads.
I found this drama also very realistic. Nothing out of this world happened. No coincidental encounters that serve the plot. That kind of shortcut. However, the last character to appear was very useful, I must say.
And we have to speak about Male Lead. He is extraordinary as a husband, commited, protective, patient .... No Wonder Female Lead fell for him. She is also very cute and I loved her growth, her bestie and the way she handles things. even if I was not ok with some of her methods.
The side stories were cute as well.
The OST is also very beautiful. Her is the official music video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Tff7KtXbJA
So I recommend this drama.
Pros :
- Acting.
- Story was great and the pacing was also good. Because the plot was logical.
- Character development. This gives big value to the show because even the antagonists are redeemable.
- Good chemistry.
- No trashy Second Female Lead.
Cons :
- Plot logical so sometimes predictible. But even if I have a hint about the destination, I still love to see the landscape.
- Stupid break up.
- Misunderstandings.
- The second arc is understandable but it made me pass through fictitious despair and I don't know if the characters needed such dire situation.
Overall :
I liked this drama very much. It features some super cute moments and the setting of the story sparked my interest.
So, if you like light hearted romcom with endearing characters and no trashy gold digger SFL, this drama is for you.

No complaints about the acting really. All the actors did well at portraying fear and desperation throughout the movie. My shallow side also appreciated how good both Miura Haruma and the Levi stand in Hasegawa Hiroki looked in the film.
The background music drove me crazy! It was to loud in quiet scenes and never seemed to fit with the action on screen. Very distracting overall and detracted from my enjoyment of the movie. This might be partially because of the source but still very annoying.
I might rewatch in the future but only because the source I used was very grainy so I wouldn't mind a better quality source. If you are looking for a faithful adaptation of Attack on Titan don't bother. If you want to see a fast paced kind of gory action movie this might be for you.
