nice show

I love this drama though the development part is a bit slow for me as they tend to dwell on the same issue for episodes that's fine the main leads and the supporting roles acting are superb and the chemistry between all characters is amazing g most especially between Zhuo hao and his father, I just love their relationship and how bratty Zhuo hao is, its just too cute. also, the chemistry between Qin ke and Chong Zi is lovely too I was wishing they end up together in episode two but luckily the director deemed their passion. overall I love the show

Enjoyable

I'm on the 3rd episode. The storyline is interesting, light, smooth, and fun. This is basically romcom with a little bit of problems related to BL industry. Both of the main characters have grey characters (honestly, they're kinda cunning but they aren't villains). I think you need to take a look at this series if you like something light and A LOT of fan service lol.

However, you will know that there will be conflicts with fans if you watch the trailers. They would be something serius in real life, but I think this series wouldn't go that far with this kind of story. I don't mind something realistic (read: big problems caused by fans) but I think this series will keep the story as fun as possible. Enjoy!

Just one word for this show - aaaaaargh

So. This show. Simply a disaster. The SFX are so lousy that they could be from the 90s. They remind me of "Mortal Kombat" (the 90s movie) and "Hercules - The Legendary Journeys" and that really shouldn't be the case for a TV program that was shot in 2018 (!). The script is just horrible. The similarities to the book are just about there. Instead of ghosts we have aliens (WTF) and of course they tried to completely suppress the whole LGBTQ love story. The episodes are sometimes so damn amateurishly written that it's just embarrassing and so are most of the supporting actors. Many are seriously lousy. Whether it's the really abysmal acting of Xin Peng, who spoils Guo or Ming Tingliu - just awful. Jiang Mingyang (Chu Shuzhi) is the only one who isn't a complete embarrassment, and then there are Zhu Yilong and Ba Yu, thank heavens. Those two are really the only reason I am still watching this show at all. Truly bloody amazing actors, very good chemistry and they somehow manage to bypass the script and still get the book across., which is quite a feat It's pretty clear that the crappy script wants to hammer in that the Shen Wei and Zhao Yun Lan are just friends, but Zhu Yilong and Ba Yu don't play along with that. When Shen Wei grabs his heart with a longing and pained expression on his face after having the chance to touch Zhao Yun Lan in episode 7? THAT certainly wasn't in the script. Guardian absolutely does not deserve the two main leads. I already know that the ending of the book was completely ruined, so I'll probably drop the show after episode 17/ 18, but I still don't regret watching it simply because the two leads are so good.

So, yeah. If the book had received the same treatment as "Word of Honor" then this show could be truly legendary but as it is, it is only legendary for being a fuck-up.

Don't listen to the haters!

When I was thinking about watching this show, I was initially worried about why the rating was already so low. I ended up delaying it, thinking that it was probably average/not worth watching. It was only by chance, flicking through Netflix that it came on, and I WAS HOOKED!

From what I've gathered through the comments section, the low rating is due to C-drama fans bombing the ratings...
This show is actually surprisingly fresh, it has characters that have genuine motivations and also (it seems to me) a unique storyline.

So far, definitely worth the watch!

Park Hyung-sik really don't miss

I trust PHS with his drama choices as the dramas he always chooses are great. his acting never misses either. him and so nee are such a visual pairing that though only 2 episodes have aired so far, I'm loving their chemistry with one another. the story is another one of those historical dramas that has the higher ups being wicked and twisted trying to take advantage of the people below them. But the writing in this story elevates it to an even better story. first you got so nee's character who is trying to avenge her family and also trying to clear her name. then you have Hyung-sik's character just trying to get rid of the "Curse."

The costume department did amazing as well. The Hanboks the ladies have is genuinely majestic and they are so beautiful to look at. so nee is a strong and resilient female lead and I always love kdrama female leads who don't let themselves get walked over. I believe the romance is going to blossom into a beautiful and intense love story as the show progresses and I'm excited to see where it, and the other sub plots will go. with 18 episodes remaining, y'all should start watching now and get caught up frfr

Heartwarming....

Based on the few episodes that I've watched and will watch for sure till the end 🙂...the story is heartwarming and family oriented as well as realistic...this might just a tv series.. but it represents real people and real life... Both lead actors and supporting cast fare well beyond my expectations...the drama was made more than three years...but it is still relevant at present... XZ and YZ are awesome in terms of acting... Love them both 💓...I hope people will give this drama a chance without prejudice....am new to Chinese dramas.. am more into anime and manga... the Untamed was my first Chinese TV series... And it was awesome watching the drama... Not perfect but I enjoyed the show... The musical instruments... Awesome cinematography...and superb casts... I still watch it from time to time....then I start learning about Chinese entertainment... What happened to XZ ...during 227 incident was sad...but hey... That's life and I guess our country is different from the Chinese entertainment... Still I am learning to be love 💕 it...sorry I made a mess with Bob this review... You may say that my bias is XZ ang yeah ... I am... Hence this review...I want to support all his works... Mind you.... He is an amazing one without formal acting lessons... He really gave life to all his characters... Humble too and hardworking...despite oppositions from left to right... Hehehe... Am into underdogs and people who are oppressed because of envy.... So bite me...😁😁😁.... I just hope and pray that people let him be... Am sure his fans love him to death...and am happy that he has them in his life's journey....let us all watch this drama and enjoy the moment ,... Life is too short for antagonizing each other... Keep safe and healthy everyone......

This show is not only about eating delicious food, but they also show the cooking process of the delicious dishes from famous restaurant. I love Korean food and I also love cooking. I learn a lot about Korean food and cooking through this show. It is also exciting to watch because the show is quite entertaining, and Mr. Baek is also really good at explaining things and make things looks really delicious. Whenever you see him eats, you cannot help to drop your jaw at the same time. They change the setting a couple of times, but it not a problem for me because it does keep the show interesting.

Weak storyline with never-ending attempts to be funny.

MDL has always been my reference for C-Drama, I always visit to check the rating & reviews of the dramas which I plan to watch and most of the time the overall ratings are in-line with the reality.. Well, except for this one, which made me decide to create an account in MDL only for writing a review.
The problem of this drama is not on the FL, she's just playing the role she's assigned to. There's no significance in the story, only unnecessary misunderstandings (without significant motives) which have been forced into the acts, the acting itself shows almost no emotions. There are a never-ending attempts to be funny but fail every time, they use these annoying background musics a lot trying to make the situation funny, for me that's really annoying these music keeps popping up in every casual scenes (non-serious) that makes it difficult to properly hear what they say.
If it's not funny, don't put those music to force it to look/feel funny, if it's really funny then it will be funny even better without those musics. If this mediocre story is served without those funny attempts maybe it still deserves 6 as the overall score.
The reason I didn't make an account for years while using MDL was because I believe the members here are better and more experienced in writing reviews, but thinking about it, that's very wrong because some people just put 10/10 for everything even when it's obvious not everything is 10/10 even if they liked the drama, that's the reason this one can receive 8.1 score when it's actually unbearable.
I won't drop it, not even skip it, because that's not how I watch movies. I'll finish this drama without even one sec skip, I promise I will change the score if it gets better to be fair, but I doubt it will.. Let's see then. If it stays the same then it means it only gets worse or it stays bad til the end.

It's been great so far! Perfect casting even though it's my first drama with them (I'm doing my best to dig up) , really new to me but their acting is really good and is very fitted unto the scenes not awkward at all. Another why I love it is the plot, I've been really really interested a lot into these kind of plots so hearing the plot of the drama I immediately watched and it didn't disappoint. Rewatching it will also be a very worth the time especially because yes its plot. Really looking forward to more episodes. Can't wait as in!

Off the Rails Before the Story Could Gain Traction

Nice science fiction setup about parallel universes. The wealthy FL is transported to the past after following the advice of an acquaintance who assures her if she arrives at a specific location at a specific time she’ll find her missing friend. Speeding to that location in an effort to meet the deadline she ends of careening off a bridge into the water and traveling to an alternate universe that ends up being the year 2018.

Sounds exciting right? Yes! Unfortunately this is where the excitement ends. The FL struggles to understand what is going on and immediately discovers the life she previously had doesn’t exist in this version of 2018. She gets some help from a stranger who gives her shelter for the night then she meets the ML who proceeds to help her while also stalking her. The first four episodes is literally her finding a job and the ML following her around town because of course she’s some woman, likely a love interest from his past, whom he must look out for. There is nothing more about the sci-fi of the story. If a viewer didn’t know any better this would be another boring romance drama.

Such a shame because I like the actors in this and the premise has promise, but the show seemed to have abandoned that premise for the mundane day to day life of the FL and her inevitable romance with the ML.

YOU NEED TO WATCH IT!

On the first episodes, I barely have interest in it. But as I progressed watching, I started to like it. Though what's bothering me is the age of Bai Zong Yi since he's portraying a minor. Normally, I don't have interest in BL with minor characters but this is a table turner for me. And for the story line, I am loving how it progresses plus the overview keeps me hooked to watching what will happen next and I can't wait for the next episode to air already!

Overall, it's a good series with a pinch of comedy. You should watch it too!

Side couple tops the main couple

This is your regular enemies to lovers trope bl with identity issue and parent opposition drama. Beginning of the series was quite engaging and funny. Fighter and Tutor has good chemistry but I find zon and saifah cuter. Zon and saifah scenes were funny and they had great chemistry. They are so adorable together and one of my favorite couples. If not for them, I would have dropped this series. I felt there should be more screen time for zon and Saifah. Overall, It is one time watch university drama with some cute moments.

The male lead is hot, but...

I did not like this drama because of the storyline. I felt it was a bit too cruel, so I dropped it after watching about 6 or 7 episodes. However, the acting was on point, the production was great, and even the script was pretty good. I just don't enjoy watching rich traumatized teens/young adults intentionally try to destroy someone else's life that did nothing to them.

Not my cup of tea...

I need to drop this

I'm watching this because of Han Se Yeul, but this kdrama is kinda slow and I feel bored watching this so I need to drop this, but if you like an action genre more than romance I guess maybe this is perfect for you, this kdrama is just not my type, I don't like Jang Hye Jung say that she likes Han Seok Jo, I'm hoping Ji Seo Yoon is the one who says that.

It's gonna be great if this focused to Ji Seo Yoon and Han Seok Jo, I've try to watch it again and see if I'll like it or not but it's still the same, I can't finish it.

The drama was really good until the end of episode 7. Why do the Japanese have to put in these stupid despicable love triangles, it ruins the whole drama. We all know how it's going to end, but to tell someone to believe in you in that you have feelings for them, then to sleep with your ex, I can't express strong enough how despicable she was in there. I won't watch anymore of this f**king stupid despicable drama. Only good part to this drama was the first part and the music. A most definite 0 in my books... They need to add betrayal to the genres...
