OMG!!!!! I HAVEN'T FELT THIS EUPHORIC SINCE HEALER!!!Honey, The Actinggg??? A+
The intricacy and brilliance of scheming??? Elite!
The comedyyy???? GOLD
CHILE THE EYE CANDYYY????? OH SO DELIZIOSO ??!!!!!
This was not a drama with a good side and a bad side. This is no "good triumphs over evil" drama. This is a fight over who's the Badder Baddie. I know we're only in the first half of the year, but this is already the drama of the year. IDC IDC. Tbh I'd love for there to be a strong contender before the year is over, but honestly idk that anyone can top this. This storyline by itself- the dark hero that gives the bad guys the punishment they deserve without pretending to be no goody-two-shoes- gives such a cathartic feeling of "HELL YEAH!!!!" that literally has you drunk on adrenaline after every episode and craving more. Factor in the amazing actors, the brilliant writing, and stunning visuals and I can already tell the withdrawal symptoms are gonna be severe with this one. I rated the rewatch value a 9 only because some of the joy of the series is the plot twists and surprises so this wouldn't I do think some of that would be lost in a re-watch but I definitely see myself coming back in a couple of months for a full rewatch and definitely will be indulging in short clips on YouTube.
Let's dive into some of the characters, shall we? ⛔️SPOILERS AHEAD ⛔️
THE GOOD BADDIES:
SONG JOONGKI IS SO HOT FOR WHAT?!? And the range chile. From Hot sexy action daddy to comedic genius older bro, to cute puppy in love all at the same time y'all. He's phenomenal and honestly he better get ALLL the end-of-year drama awards. ??Vincenzo Cassano??, my Mafia Zaddy with a big heart. Tbh I usually don't like morally compromised leads because I struggle to support them fully but he was so brilliantly written as doing this for the little guy that I couldn't help but fully encourage him to kick some a$$ and blow some heads off. Obviously, I know he did stuff while he was in the Mafia that was most definitely NOT to defend the little guy...but they didn't focus too much on that and just lead us to a point where we would very happily follow the man to jail.
JEON YEO-QUEEN-BEEN!!!! NUFF SAID but here's some more anyway. Hong Cha Young was never an angel but oh how I relished her further villainous corruption. Her father dying was her true villain-origin story and the queen dived right in and took her rightful place by Vincenzo's side. I love that she's crazy and funny but is DAMN good at her job! I laughed and cried with her so obviously her acting is superb. The only queen deserving of my King ??Cenzo??.
The entire Gemga Plaza squad. Y'ALL WISH YOU HAD A SQAUD SO FLY AND TALENTED. QUEEN SEO MI RI, the beautiful and talented hacker turned piano teacher, NAM JOO SUNG, special effects master and member of the Cornsalad Daddy ??Cenzo?? fan club along with National Intelligence Service agent, AHN KI SEOK, and wrestling athlete YANG KYUNG WON. The whole building was badass and I can't list everyone but dammit even the MONKS came throughhhh. Not sure if Geumga squad would count as baddies but they're sha not totally on the right side of the law.
THE BAD BADDIES:
DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE FINEST BADDIE TO EVER DO IT- OK TAEC-ME-DADDY-YEON!!!! Your faves could NEVER look so hot covered in pig's blood- Damn, girl we really went there? YES, WE MF-ING DID!!! Bro I have NEVER hated someone so much (a testament to his acting) but also be absolutely delighted with and enamored by his crazy (again hats off to the acting)- totally see the appeal of toxic relationships now. Although I missed Joon Woo's puppy-in-love character.....I was absolutely here for the Psychotic Babel CEO murderer. I wanted him dead but enjoyed his pretty face enough to happily watch 16 episodes of him being an a$$ (he was sweet in the first 4). I really wanna give Ok Taecyeon all the accolades because idol actors get such flack and he consistently proves that he is a master of his art and no one can look down on him.
Choi Myung Hee: She's literally the worst. Hate her a$$. Literally wanted her dead so much I was begging every episode. She has zero remorse, not cuz she doesn't know what that is like our diagnosed psychopath Jang Hang Seok, but because she chooses not to be remorseful. She's a cruel, loyal af leech that's looking for power and will crush any and everyone to get it. AND SHE'S ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!! Kim Yeo Jin (actress) has such range in acting!! I have seen her play the sweetest mother and the evilest queen. I have loved her and I have despised her. SHE. IS. BRILLIANT!!!!
Jang Han Seo: I honestly don't think my baby deserves to be in this section because he really is the bestest boy but I guess since he was on the other side for most of the drama I'll put him here. My baby was a tormented and bullied soul. The people who should have loved him used and humiliated him almost crushing his spirit and sense of self. As soon as he saw a lifeline (Daddy ??Cenzo??) he grabbed it and hung on to it for dear life and love. I AM SO FREAKING PROUD OF HIM. MY HEART IS SO FULL WHEN IT COMES TO HIM AND I NEED KWAK DONG YEON (actor) TO PLEASE JUST STAR IN SOMETHING WHERE HE'S HAPPY!!! My man is always suffering abeg. IONTBO, My Strange Hero, now Vincenzo. Man always has such horrible luck with family mehn. Can we just have him be born into a loving family and he can meet a nice partner and just be freaking happy. He deserves that!
HONORABLE MENTIONS
Cornsalad Daddy ??Cenzo??fan club: Kim Sung Chul (Tae Ho's sugar daddy) and that Tailor that got Vin fitted for his new suits

The acting is good overall. The scenario is cliché but there is potential for a good drama.
I really loved the main actors and the others are also very good. Every actor is funny, beautiful or annoying so it's entertaining.
The problem is that the characters makes too many non realistic decisions, so much that it's not bearable anymore.
They have some developement since the beginning of the show, but it's not consistent. Sometimes they are smart and at other times in the same context they will be stupid. Sometimes they are lively then you don't know why they become lethargic...
Anyway the plot holes are so big that I don't even see my TV screen anymore. Almost everything could be resolved if they just talked to each other, that would weaken the villain so much... But even though they know that already, since they have experienced the feeling of sharing some information and thus not being thrown around like a trash bag, they still keep their mouth shut for no reason at times.
They know they absolutely shouldn't be alone with a killer and manipulative person, but they still go alone for no reason and afterwards suffer alone without telling anyone. And they see that the other is probably like them but still they continue ruining themselves.
Take the main character for instance : she becomes so smart and confident after she decides to help her husband, it's cheat-like (god mode ON), but then she seems to revert to a useless character, she begins sharing but afterwards she clams up.
For these reasons the characters are broken : I can't conceptualize them, they make no sense, thus the show makes no sense.
The villain especially : he is consistent in being unrealistic, he is even less human because they try to make you emphatize with him but it's not working. Also you can't explain why some lackeys are following him wich is very disturbing... what is in it for them, they can't follow him just for his good looks right ?
So in conclusion the show has potential, many people seem to enjoy it and so did I, but you have to overlook the many character flaws and plot holes. For me it's all I see so it's too upseting to watch.

Borderline on Comic relief
This drama is one of my favorites this year, having watched 18 episode of it I can boast that you will hurt your ribs from laughing too hard while watching this drama. The plot is simple, Vincenzo fled italy to Korea to get his buried gold out of Guemga plaza , we have our female lead who still works for the villian. I love how most of the tenant in Guemga plaza have a secret identity... No scratch that .... Almost everyone in this fr***king drama as a hidden motive or secret identity. The villians are almost as comical as the heroes. Just when you think oh no it's over for our Mafia friend Vincenzo he bounce back with countermeasures of his own (absolutely brilliant). Overall you would want to revisit some of the most hilarious scene (lots ofthem). Was this review helpful to you?
Great drama
Love the chemistry between Ueu and King. BTS episodes really shows how much sweat and tears they put into this drama. They seem to have a great friendship in real life too. Can’t wait for the final episode! Hwaiting!! I hate for this to end though! Love them both! And why do we have to have at least 500 words to review? LoL I’ve definitely explained everything I wanted. Haha Is it 500 yet? Ueu is so beautiful and King is so cute! Is it 500 yet? I really really really really enjoyed this drama. 500?Was this review helpful to you?
Well produced wholesome drama
The initial episodes did seem to stretch a bit, but the leads, esp. Wang Chu Ran, Liu Ling Zi, Zhang Chi assay convincing roles. The transformation of Wang Chu Ran is especially commendable, there is a clear psychological shift of characterization seen. The plot could have been more layered, however, all the characters are well-rounded and have distinct personalities of their own. Some episodes are certainly worth re-watching.

.
it is honestly one of my fav MaxNat series. like KinnPorsche, it has a perfect balance between drama and action. the actors are super talented and I personally love to watch their personalities change over the series. For example, I recently watched "The Eclipse" and, even if Jumnan and Jao are actually two different characters, Pak is COMPLETELY different from Two Worlds, and this is how it should be. He is a really good and cool actor. All the actors always manage to interpret their role and character perfectly and this makes me really proud of them. I've seen Max and Nat gradually grow up, and they are my fav couple rn, so seeing them now, so improved, is reassuring !!they all did really well and I am sure they'll keep doing well, improving every day ❤️

My Concern about this show
"Jo teenager fairytale ke colourful world se asliyat ke grey world mein apne aapko dhalna shuru kar chuke hain, unko ye adbhut show dekhna chahiye. Conspiracy, Politics, Ethics, Morality, Business - in sabki acchi samajh hone ke baad, woh ye show samajh sakte hain ya in saare factors ko samajhne ke liye woh ye show dekh sakte hain."Content :- Sim Eun Seok is an elite judge with a prickly personality who hates juvenile offenders. After she gets assigned to a local juvenile court, she tries to balance her aversion to minor offenders with firm beliefs on justice and punishment, as she goes out of her way to break custom and administer her own ways of punishing the offenders.

A type of story that can make you sad and happy at the same time.
{I have not finished this drama yet (i am on the 14th episode). I will update the review after i have finished watching this.}the first 8-9 episodes were very fun to watch. It showed us how childhood is different from adulthood, the growing pains, expectations, friendship, love goals and many more.
I was surprised at the child actors who conveyed or portrayed their character very well. their acting seen natural especially the child actor playing the character of child ver. of Lin ZhaoXi.
this story seems different from the type of Chinese drama's (time travel or parallel world concept) I have watched so far.

Slow Climax
This series started extremely well. I was interested and wanted to know more about the characters, but then I lost all interest soon afterward. There is no satisfaction in this long lagging storyline. It doesn't look like it's rising to a CLIMAX! It's stagnant, which loses views 18 episodes in. If I stop watching, it's okay. Maybe after all the episodes have aired and comments have been posted, it will be doable. I couldn't navigate around the lacking episodes. This series drags unmercifully. It's painful to watch at some points: cute storyline but AWFUL screenwriting. Was this review helpful to you?

FL is but her but her butcher role only see till first two episodes then aftter get married she helped her husband in his work . She had been bethored in her childhood and she not ready to marry him as her father insisted so she married to him . Then cliche . He tried to win her heart plus little scenes of his work. Totally a boring story.I bear it till 16 episodes but nothing good had come out .
Not worthy .
Acting also not good .
Poor story as well direction .
A time waste

Contrary to its looks, the drama treats it's female characters as plot points
There's literally no trigger or age warning when an episode literally flashes into a traumatic and explicit scene and snaps out of it as if nothing happened, the female character in the said scene is literally treated like a plot point that's supposed to be the cause of the male character's mediocre trauma and female trauma is conveniently erased to drive a hollow narrative to give the male lead 'depth'.Dropping this drama after 4 episodes and I wish I hadn't begun it in the first place because now I'm traumatized too.
Jeez.

I cried when I watched the series
As a fan of both actors, I was excited to see the series. However, once the trailer was released, I questioned this excitement. The truth is, I wasn't a big fan of Bedfriends (its predecessor) for two main reasons: the acting and the editing. Today, it is these very aspects that bother me.I believe the director of this series has significant issues in directing the performances of his main actors. I realized this after analyzing that the character Jade in Bedfriends—despite being peculiar—had a much more focused, stable, and profound personality, which is not present in this continuation.
In Middleman’s Love, we see how the Jade we knew disappeared (not to mention the one from the novel). I know that Yim can act because the Jade he portrayed in Bedfriends was a good character (and the same with Syn in CutiePie). Jade (Bedfriends), Jade (Middleman’s Love), and Syn (Cutie Pie) share the commonality of being strange, awkward, and even a bit weird characters. However, Jade in Middleman’s Love is the only one who doesn't achieve those characteristics because he ends up being absurd, foolish, and almost like a five-year-old child.
On the other hand, Tutor had the easiest job since his character hardly speaks in the series (he does, but every time he does, they overlay him with unbearable music). This is a point I want to make clear. Whoever edits at Domundi (excluding Cutie Pie) doesn't know how to do it. Anyone who knows a bit about shots understands that for a fast-forward or flashback, you shouldn't use the same shots in a row, or the effect won't work (and if you're going to do it, you must know how to do it, or it ends up being a failure). They abuse this in the first episode.
In addition to that, there is a problem with the editing. The music is excessive on many occasions (not to say all), they cling to this resource and don't let go because there is not a single second where you can hear the characters simply talking. The music is always there. This is compounded by the maximalist style of editing, leaving the audience exhausted after a few seconds.
I could go on because they clearly lowered the quality from Bedfriends (the only good point in that series), but honestly, it gives me enormous sorrow to see what Domundi turned the series, its plot, and characters into. The favoritism towards certain actors is evident, and it's clear that their directors have no idea how to make a series work. Outside of shows where their favorites appear, they don't make even the slightest effort.

This is not remake, it's re-create
I have watched several remade dramas. Many of them disappointed me, but there are remakes that are done very well. A remake involves creating a new version of a work, with adjusted plots and characters. I always hope for the excitement that comes from these adaptations whenever I try to watch a remake. There are two great remakes that I refer to when watching remake dramas: "Playful Kiss" and "Solomon's Perjury." Both are Korean dramas that adapt Japanese dramas and films. I watched both versions and was satisfied with them. These two dramas adapt the plot and Japanese culture well, adjusting it nicely to Korean culture without rushing to build a new identity for the drama.
However, it’s not the same with this drama. In episode 1, this drama portrays the childhood of the characters quite well. The casting for the parents is very well done, and I am quite satisfied with that. The child actors are also fairly good in portraying their characters.
When the characters begin to enter adulthood, I noticed many important scenes that should have been included but were omitted. I know it’s not easy to condense 40 episodes, but removing major scenes and creating a new plot that lacks a similar message is not the right choice. This is a remake, and while being different and having its own color is fine, it shouldn’t come at the expense of altering the plot.
I was quite skeptical about JCY when the cast was first announced, but it turns out that among the three main cast members, I think she acted the most naturally. She manages to create a new character for Jian Jian effectively. A slight difference in character is okay as long as the overall character doesn’t change. What disappoints me more is the acting of HIY. This is the third time I’ve watched his dramas (18 Again, Why Her?), and I feel there hasn’t been significant development in his acting style.
My disappointment continued when I realized that the character Tang Can was not adapted in this drama. She is a main character who significantly influences Jian Jian’s character development, but this drama seems to prefer emphasizing romance over family and self-development, focusing instead on a love quadrangle that I think isn’t as important.
I am uncomfortable with the change in Ming Yue's character in this drama, as that’s where her development lies. The actress playing Park Dal has acted well, and there’s no doubt about that, but it feels like a new character. Ming Yue is a cowardly female character who gradually starts lying because she cannot express what she wants; she doesn’t dare to openly confront her mother at all during her youth. The first time she does so is at age 25, but here, Park Dal’s character boldly expresses her opinions to her mother while they’re eating together. That doesn’t feel like Ming Yue at all. It’s an unnecessary adaptation of the character.
In fact, this drama has a lot of potential if it wanted to place more emphasis on family rather than romance, just like the original story. Or like its title, because that is indeed its most interesting point. Almost 80% of the casting is well-chosen, with good acting and compatible faces. But everything feels wasted due to the plot that tries too hard to create something new, a new identity. If that's the case, it would be better to just create a new drama.
