Exciting new take to the concept of time !!!

So I’ve only watched 3 episodes of this drama so far and my oh my is it good !!! I have high hopes for the ending but a part of me just feels like something bad is going to happen. So far the concept of the drama (time travel or the butterfly effect) is really up to standard !!! If you’re looking for a drama that incorporates mystery, thriller and sci-fi aspects to it I suggest you watch this !!! - will review again after I finish it.

Casting - 10/10
Soundtrack - average nothing to rave about
Cinematography- amazing 9/10
Atmosphere/setting - high hopes !!!

A Journey worth watching til the end…

Currently on Top of my Watchlist and keeps me wanting to see more how the leads story unfolds.
It might not be a cup of Tea for others but definitely my Cup of Coffee! :) Keeps me up all night rewatching and up in the morning to watch as it currently airs.

It’s a storyline worth standing on its own and a story of growth, self-realization, and a path of the greatest love story about to unfold….

Per my perspective, you really don’t have to overthink the plot but sufficient enough to make theories, because of how this journey started and hopes how this story ends . On top of that, the OST is MAGICAL, ACTING is on POINT! COSTUME… je l'aime!?

Love, love, love How it is starting from innocence to the point of silliness (hahaha), to the subtle “caring” without knowing, the goofy banters but also learning, and falling without realizing…. (ugh I know I will pay for it dearly later down the line when they catch em’ feels and fall too hard).

The Key is patience and perseverance on how Ayin & Gu Jin’s story evolves from master-servant, to best-mate, to lovers trope along with their “friends”. I can’t help but root for them and cheer them on! LOL
I love the pacing so far… It’s giving, let these kids have their fun cause they don’t have ANY idea what they are about to go thru!!!?

It has only been 5-6 episode in for me as I type this review, but I will have to say this, enjoy the show while you can, smile and laugh a little and embrace the light part of the drama cause I can foresee the ANGST forthcoming brought by “the chaos” looming for our leads.. Tissues, Coffee or Tea and a warm blanket will be your weapon in the future coming episodes…?

Let’s go to this journey together ‘til the end…?

Sidenote: I will come back and update this review as I go on a journey to collect the “horcruxes” … I mean fragments of the Phoenix. LOL

Awesome start to the show! Did not expect it to be even better than EAW. The actors Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young acted brilliantly, have excellent chemistry and they looked so good together. Agreed with the director who had mentioned that they really synchronised the roles to the novel characters. Beyond his variety show personas, LSG usually acted serious roles in his drama and his previous role was a psychopath role. So was apprehensive if this suits him but he proved once again his versatility and why he has the triple threat reputation. Same for the LSY - I have not seen her in comedy roles before but she was so good.

There were heart fluttering scenes, but despite being a rom-com, pace was fast and the law parts were interesting. Cannot wait for the development of the show and the romance of the leads to blossom!

AOS Most Honest Review

The storyline from AOS Season 1 and Season 2 are very good. The storytelling, Character story building, the plot twist, the effects, all aspects are perfect in this drama. the actor and actress are playing their role very good. it's match perfectly for them. especially go yoon jung are so beautifull, his act and expression are so cute. but it's kind of sad that season 2 of this shows only has 10 episodes. don't know that this shows will have a third season. this shows is worth to be the best shows of 2022.

Interesting

the subtitles were honestly the worst part for me and this is my first time reviewing, but i honestly felt a very real life natural approach with this show witch wasn’t executed as best as it could but in that sense it was unique so i somewhat enjoyed the confusion i experienced as they were touching on very realistic problems relationships or dating can bring with the whole possessiveness but i do believe better could be done as a whole.

I think it's one of the best dramas of 2022. I really like. I really liked the story, especially the way it was handled. I really liked the actors. Especially Wu Jin Yan. He's a very, very good player. Experienced too. It plays fluently. Of course it's not just him. All the players are very, very good, I have not seen a faltering player. The cast is well chosen. I can say they are perfect. Based on such a food event, many other subjects such as palace life, those who rise from the bottom to the top, those who cannot attract each other, jealousy, intrigues, games, fight for the throne, secret issues are also covered. It's mixed. It's set up very nicely. In the meantime, we got to know the historical Chinese dishes. We have also seen the diversity, meticulousness and selectivity of the palace cuisine. In my opinion, a lot of food was shown and it seems that the courtiers ate too much. I didn't find it normal. I think there is not that much. In other words, such diversity and abundance could only be possible in the golden years. In an environment where the people are starving, these foods cannot be eaten. I believe the palace is paying attention to this as well. Congratulations to our director and actors. Production too. Thank you for showing us such a beautiful series.

I am a fan of all versions but MG2018 caught my heart maybe because I'm a very hopeless romantic teenager.

From the start, I am looking forward to this drama. I am updated with the casting and how the story will go on so when it was release I was so excited. Though many are comparing MG and MG2018, it can really stand on it's own. The cast is superb, Dylan makes a great Dao Ming Si and Shen Yue's cute even if she acts tough. Darren can be cool yet adorable. F4 is indeed handsome and acts like teenage idols in school lol. The story is refreshing and the new faces which matches those of college students can really make me cry and smile.

Watching it makes me wish for my own Ah Si and Lei. Even the side characters' story is a total pinch in the heart! I love this version so much!

FANTASTIC!!!

Now I know this review is a bit rushed but hear me out. It's my first time reviewing a c-drama and I have definetlty watched several; from Eternal love to Love and Destiny, Ancient love poetry e.t.c I kinds specialise in fanatsy dramas, cultivation, realm stuff and so on to be precise. This drama is a good one to watch, personally, it's marvelous but considering the larger picture and judging from the few episodes I've watched so far, it's still behind on the C-drama scale putting into consideration that it cannot reach the high cielings set by it's predecessors like Eternal love (Three live three worlds: Ten miles of peach blossoms), Love and redemption and Ancient love poetry which with not doubt were pure masterclasses.
I'm taking nothing away from this drama, as I said; Absolutely love it, love the casting as some time was inserted into the cast selection unlike the storyline that was a bit rushed: Like how did all those Gods die so suddenly, the Demon war in the start was wierd as well and had a larger impact that it seems to have meant to. All I mean is that part is a bit rushed.
Graphics, acting, cast, LOVE IT!! Nice drama to watch if interested in heavenly, mortal, immortal and demonic stuff and if you're a fan of Cheng Yi plus that white haired guy (He Zhong Hua) who seemed to have mastered the techninque of producing masterclasses whenever he acts.
Yeah Try it out.....Definetly recommend it.

Garbage produced of good resources

FL and ML are both good actors (especially Wu Jin Yan) and perform their roles excellently.
The basic idea (screenwriter and police) is an interesting setup, but it is the only positive thing in the entire script.

ML's behavior towards FL is totally worthless: bullying, dominating, subjugating and derogatory speech ( C-dramas male archetype )
FL, on the other hand, is the female archetype of C-dramas: stupid, helpless and lovesick.

The age difference between the characters is actually about 20 years, but visually it's about 30, so the so-called "romance" mostly evokes pity for FL.

The writers could finally ditch such silly characters and produce something worth watching. Currently, more than 90% of C-dramas are patriarchal garbage.

Speaking as a general fan of HYD adaptations but a greater fan of the original manga/anime (I've gone through the Korean, Taiwanese, Chinese and Japanese adaptations but barely remember them), this adaptation was generally enjoyable!

Despite some strange pacing (particularly at the start of the drama) and rookie acting, the series managed to hook me for a couple of months during its running (until real life pulled me back and I couldn't find the time to follow it, not of the drama's own fault). The drama is eyecatching (locations, actors, etc), which helps, but I was drawn in most by how closely it aligned to the manga's original plotline. Watching the newest episodes always prompted a rereading of those corresponding chapters in the manga, and then some in anticipation of the next few episodes. Plus, the caricature/ridiculousness present in the manga (which is the nature and norm for manga like HYD) helped me stomach the caricature and sappiness of the drama.
(Likewise, the weakest points of the story (so far) have been moments when they've diverged away from the manga: ex: replacing Shancai's reflective character development in the fishing village with Caina/Terence, removing Daomingsi's double (and with that, character development for Shancai).

Overall: Watch this if you enjoy seeing HYD adapted--enough to accept some flaws. Watch this while reading the manga to appreciate the closeness of the adaptation + how iconic scenes from the manga are adapted to a more modern/contemporary setting. (and help you deal with the flaws)

i don't really know why all this chaos happened for this drama, well i guess because of the title.. anyway when i started watching it i was so excited but after 5 episodes that i barely finished i felt so disappointed because of the acting was so bad and i can't feel any chemistry between the main actors, also the storyline was so weak and boring. one thing i liked is the music and the comedy that made me laugh sometimes Likewise, I will not deny that the two main actors were handsome, which puts another good reason for the popularity of this drama.

I've been looking for a BL series that I will like to watched and this series is the one that I've been looking for. Every BL series has its unique way of telling the story and I found something interesting in this one. It's not a typical boys to boys relationship, one thing is it gives me chills every time I watched it. It has a great ensembles of characters that surely you will love.
I like how the cast takes every role and there is no awkwardness in them. Hoping for the next and upcoming episodes.

This K-Drama Will Make You Want to Rewind Time (and Not Just Because of Travel)

Imagine this: you're chilling on your couch, popcorn in hand, ready to dive into a new K-drama adventure. That's exactly how I felt when I hit play on *Lovely Runner*. From the get-go, I was hooked. The storyline? Super intriguing. We've got Ryu Sun Jae, this swoon-worthy idol, and Im Sol, his biggest fan who's been through some tough stuff. But here's the twist: time travel! Sol gets zapped back 15 years into the past, and boom, she's face to face with Sun Jae in his high school days. Talk about a plot twist!

Now, let's talk characters. Sun Jae? Total sweetheart. He's got this awkward charm that just makes you want to give him a big ol' hug. And Sol? She's hilarious! Her antics had me laughing out loud one minute and tearing up the next. Oh, and can we talk about their chemistry? It's off the charts! Every time they were on screen together, sparks were flying.

let's talk about the unsung heroes of Lovely Runner – the supporting cast! You've got Kim Won Hae, the king of comedy, bringing the laughs as Sun Jae's hilarious dad. His banter with Sol's mom? Priceless. Then there's Baek In Hyuk, the goofy best friend who always knows how to lighten the mood. Seriously, his antics had me in stitches every time he appeared on screen.
Ah, Taesung, from his love for fashion to his heartfelt relationships, he adds depth and warmth to every scene he's in. His charming personality, authentic friendships, and meaningful character growth make him a standout in the supporting cast.

But it's not just the big names stealing the show. Lovely Runner is all about those little details that make the world feel so real. Like, remember when Sol zoomed in on Sun Jae's collarbone in his fan photo? I swear, I was wheezing! And how about those throwback moments to South Korea in the past? From the Olympics to the rise of SNSD, it's like taking a trip down memory lane.

Oh, and let's not forget about those clever little nods to past episodes. The way they seamlessly tied everything together? Genius. From callbacks to earlier scenes to subtle hints about future plot twists, it's like a game of cat and mouse trying to unravel all the mysteries. And let me tell you, it's oh-so-satisfying when you finally connect all the dots. It's those tiny moments that really make Lovely Runner stand out from the crowd.

But it's not all sunshine and rainbows. There's a serial killer subplot that had me on the edge of my seat. And let me tell you, the final showdown? Talk about intense! Although, I gotta admit, the villain was a bit meh. But hey, you win some, you lose some.

And don't even get me started on the soundtrack! It's like they handpicked every song to perfectly match the mood of each scene. I found myself humming along to "Sudden Shower" for days after finishing the series.

Overall, *Lovely Runner* is like a warm hug on a rainy day. Sure, it's got its flaws, but the feels it gives you more than make up for it. So if you're in the mood for a fun, heartwarming drama that'll leave you smiling, give this one a shot! Trust me, you won't regret it.

What's meant to be is meant to be

A beautiful drama about how fate will always lead you to the person you are meant to be with. The drama started off with great potential and ended with no disappointment. The story was panned out perfectly, no rushed endings. The actors, especially Byun Woo Seok, did an extremely amazing job at bringing out his character. He managed to portray so many emotions and expressions and did justice to his role. The dramas stirrs so many emotions in just a single episode. I have to say that I was skeptical about watching it because of all the controversy surrounding it even before it aired but I am glad I gave it a chance. My Mondays and Tuesdays were full of hope thanks to this amazing work of art.

Drop it like it's hot! Or not...

Ok, so I don't mind less plot and more kissing but the little plot there is should make just a little bit of sense! The two main characters keep on doing and saying things that are jarring and unrealistic, and the whole thing just feels like the disjointed first draft of a 15 year old wannabe writer.
And the acting is...
The actress starts as cute and submissive, Coffee And Vanilla style, but then they try to make her into this bizarre hysterical mother hen type as well and it just doesn't blend together. The hero is another coffee and vanilla type, all the girls fall for him because he's good looking and rich and full of the elusive x factor... but as a viewer I didn't see any of this in him. He's just this mediocre guy that does and says things that don't make any sense.
I'm dropping, not even finishing the first episode.
