Drunk In Good taste like a fresh breeze that I desperately needed in midst of a very hectic and hard time in my life. I still remember lying on my couch and smiling like a fool as I saw the leads fall in love. This drama filled my heart with happiness and provided an escape I desperately needed :,)

To be honest, the show itself isn't necessarily anything special. It is a cliche romance story with cute characters. You have your typical popular mean girl, a handsome guy everyone is in love with, and a female lead who is adorable but not necessarily beautiful by societal standards. But, I don't think the directors or writers were trying to make anything very deep or unique. The show is just supposed to be just a fluffy, quick watch. And I think it delivered it's purpose very well; the characters were adorable and the romance was very very very sweet.

My only complaint was that the ending was a lil incomplete. However, since it is a show that is just two hours long, I wasn't too mad or annoyed. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who wants a cute lil watch that can make their heart flutter ((:

Totally love this drama. The storyline here is very different from other dramas, only because there really isn't that one evil antagonist. Every one of the characters are loveable in their own little way ( even the "bad ones"). What drew me most was the complexity of them all. They each have little quirks about them and how they deal with those little quirks is more than a little entertaining. :p Loved every minute of the romance between the main characters and the side characters as well. Ji-Sung is absolutely hilarious and I totally fell for his childish yet loving character. Overall a great great great drama! :D

Maybe I'm a boring person, maybe I'm doing dramas wrong, maybe I got old, but I occasionally really enjoy watching dramas that focus on a profession, people doing their best and working towards a common goal and facing different challenges. Sometimes, I'm not interested in fast-paced action, cliche love triangles or suspenseful thrillers, sometimes I just want dramas about genuine people doing their jobs the best way they can. This is one of those.

You're not gonna get a whole lot of world-building here, you're not going to find star-crossed lovers or dreadful villains, but you'll find a lot of genuine characters and over-all good people trying to make others happy by providing the best work they can in a great hotel. Like there usually is in dramas of the kind, there's people with different perspectives of what's best for clients, there's personal issues getting involved in their jobs, there's clients that transcend the limits of what the crew can do, including, but not limited to: stalkers, overbearing parents, interns with severe social anxiety, kids trying to make their parents or grandparents happy, husbands being toxic and various other situations, always centered in human emotion and social links.

A great surprise and something I'd like to point out is that there's a character, played by Asari Yosuke, who uses sign language to communicate and him and Mariya's character use it back and forth pretty smoothly. This is something I rarely see in dramas, sadly (I hope one day we get a good live action drama of the Koe no Katachi manga, for example, because it's amazing), and I found it great that they not only did it in a recurring character, rather than a guest, but that it was also explored in an episode somewhat, when his uncle shows up.

Maybe, in comparison to other shows with the same theme, it's not the most original or well-written, some situations tend to go a bit in circles and there is, I believe, a bit of a lack of development for the lead character, because, even though I get what her importance is in the plot, I feel she doesn't get a very clear resolution in order for her development to be consistent throughout. It's not as strong as other job-centered shows, but it's not bad and it's well performed. I particularly enjoyed Watanabe Natsuna a lot in this.

So, long story short, if you want to see a drama that's relatively calm, heartwarming and not too much of a stress, but which does focus on human interaction and has some deep emotional scenes, this is a good one for you. It's probably not gonna keep you on the edge of your seat, but sometimes I'm not looking for that in a drama. Sometimes I just want nice people trying their best.

You can't find another Yu Si Feng!

First and foremost, this drama has 59 episodes but I tell you, it's worth it! I can't think of another way to end this drama but overall, it has a beautiful and happy ending!

I already mentioned this before that Love and Redemption is the 2nd xanxia drama that I watched after Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms/Eternal Love with more than 50 episodes. I was actually hesitant at first to watch it because it has lots of episodes but because I find Cheng Yi and Yuan Bingyan's chemistry so palpable, I gave it a go. And I can't believe that I finished it in just straight 4 days without skipping some parts.

I accidentally saw one clip of Xuan Ji and Si Feng in youtube and got curious and my curiosity brought me here now, unable to move on. 😭 Love and Redemption is one of the few drama that has nice plot, it maybe bloody especially Si Feng who seems like has a lot of blood bag in his system to spew blood like every episode for Xuan Ji. 😂 Overall, it was well-written. You will love every character in this drama not just the main leads especially Tengshe, Liu Yihuan, Wu Zhi Qi, Zihu and Ting Nu.

This drama only tells us one thing that Yu Si Feng's love for XuanJi is out of this world from heavenly realm to their 10 lifetimes in mortal realm. He's too in love that he's willing to sacrifice and die for her every single time. I don't want to call his hardships in this drama coz it hurts me every time.

From their innocent kisses to their oh-so-passionate ones( well my fave is episode 52 where XuanJi kiss him in the chest and that kiss grilled in saucy tongue 😂).

It's not bad to hope for season 2 right? But I wish there will be more projects of them as the main couple in another drama. I hope it's another costume drama coz Cheng Yi looks waaay more handsome with long hair and Crystal with light make up to emphasize her innocent look.

I really like Shining Inheritance, and like Jerry Yan. So I wanted to check this out. They follow the plot of the original well. I think the actors play their roles so well. I think you should watch this show if you like Shining Inheritance.

The music is not that bad, but not memorable. I would re-watch this drama, but not too often. I probably watch the funny and favorite moments.

I just really like this remake. I think the family chemistry is well-done in my personal opinion. Like I said before, the acting is well done in my opinion. The leads got their roles down, and the main lead's family. I also got second-lead syndrome for a while like the original.

I really think you guys should watch this series.

I'm giving this 10/10 because it's so very close to perfect that it would be petty to quibble. This Drama was a perfect romcom for me. Quirky leads who were still very human, and who both grew over the course of the Drama. More genuinely funny, literally laugh out loud moments than I could remember on just one watch, and a very believable love story, told with a particularly credible detour thrown in for good measure. There's effectively nothing to fault about this Drama, so if you like romcoms which are genuinely comedic, with a low-key romance, make a date to watch this superb series.

So just watched this movie for like the 10th time i bet and wondered why haven't i written a review based on this wonderful movie. This movie really appealed to me than any other. It had a beautiful story and had a wonderful message to share through both the leads character. Mukai Osamu especially did an amazing job in portraying his character. I would say this is better than the anime itself. In my opinion Mukai can camouflage into any type of character very easily, and here also he seemed flawless. I couldn't help giving this movie a 10 on 10. The music too had captured my heart from the very start with it extremely catchy opening song. The story was different and left me a great impression on it. Personally i don't have much of a knowledge about the fashion world or its whereabouts. But seeing this movie made me realize its beauty. The ending was wonderful, and i like it how they summarized a huge anime /manga into an 1 hr 54 mins movie. I'd definitely recommend this to everyone here. You can watch this in dramacrazy.net . Thank you! I hope my review has encouraged you to watch this amazing movie ^_^

No, Yoon Eun-hye doesn’t actually look like a boy, but in terms of dress, hairstyle and acting she pulls off one of the best gender bender roles. There is no effort to girly up her role, and the writers pull off a character that is relatable and realistically tomboy-ish not a kpop idol with a short haircut and cute boy clothes. She doesn’t try to be pretty. Besides, Gong Yoo is great as well and the two have amazing chemistry. The only reason I can think of for someone not hearing of or watching this drama already is that they felt it was too popular to be any good or they’re a new drama fan. However this is one Korean show that is worth all the hype it gets. The acting, filming, writing, and the music etc. is all amazing.

As a big fan of both Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk as separate actors, it was great to see them both work together and create such great chemistry between their characters. The story was well thought-out, fast-paced and wonderfully directed and, unlike most dramas I have watched, there was not a single point at which I felt bored or the need to do pause to do something else.

The character of Choi In Ha (Park Shin Hye) was adorable, especially with her inability to lie yet constant attempts to do so. However, every character used in this drama, not just the leads, were unique and lovable and I found myself getting attached to the supporting roles as well as the main characters. Excluding the two leads, I'd like to make reference especially to Seo Bum Jo (played by Kim Young Kwang) as, not only was he a very likeable character, I found the portrayal of his character development brilliant.

Faults wise, I'm happy to say that after a lot of thinking on my part, I could not think of a single one. Although, this is my own opinion and I'm sure there were some that I missed while being blinded by Lee Jong Suk's and Park Shin Hye's impossibly good looks.

I was afraid that the ending would be bad but Pinocchio kept up its lovable story till the very end and I was sad when I realised there would be no more episodes for me to watch. Within the first episode I was hooked and, after finishing all 20 episodes, I can say this is definitely my favourite drama and I will definitely watch it again.

This movie was so satisfying in a sense of reality and fiction. I really enjoyed this romcom. The story centers around two people who went through love and out and didn’t end up together but still loved each other after and the male lead Kim young kwang visits her on her wedding day. The story is so heartwarming and I had a great time watching the movie, it’s like a needed once in a while romcom. The performances from the two main leads were exceptional, it was like a Nicholas spark novel. I love both Kim young kwang and Park boo young. The really showed their talents in this film. I recommend it to anyone looking to watch it, if you’re into romantic comedies you won’t regret it. Watch it!

Best BL of 2023

Production quality, acting, script is all top notch! This is such a beautiful story and they did not only focus on giving the main characters purpose and reason, they also took their time to shape the side characters. It felt so real. Although the time travel concept is nothing new, they did use their own twists and overlapping tricks which made it all look more well-rounded.
I was confused at the ending. But since I found out there will be a second season, I will give it the benefit of the doubt that this is just part of the bigger picture, since the rest of the show was so well thought-out. The only reason I didn't give it a full 10, is because I generally don't enjoy dramas as much in the time he travelled to. I am looking forward to the second season and I can only recommend this show to anyone interested in a heartfelt Bl romance.

Standard Korean BL Series

Overall: the general comments below applies to a whole bunch of Korean BL. I'd say overall it's fine, but suffers from the same issues as other series. Watched on Viki (minor spoilers)

Content Warnings: murders (off screen), suicide, dub con kiss (sleeping)

What I Liked
- good production value
- the flashbacks were obvious
- I thought Yeon Seok's personality (with his confidence/big ego) was funny in the beginning
- the cat magical creature pretty much declares she is asexual, I appreciate the representation and I wish this character was more fully developed
- that both Sin Bi and Ha Yeon called Yeon Seok for being a jerk because he was a jerk

Room For Improvement
- choppy/rushed, I didn't really understand/buy into the sudden shift with Yeon Seok's feelings
- cliche poor communication at the end and Ha Yeon being angry at Yeon Seok when Yeon Seok is doing exactly what Ha Yeon asked him to do (eyeroll)
- pointless love triangle, that screen time could have gone to developing the m/m romance and/or fleshing out the cat goddess character
- the kissing was okay but not great
- why did Ha Yeon get killed the second time, we just never know???

I'm always intimidated by a 50 episode count, but this may be my favorite drama over 30 episodes. The secondary characters were as interesting and engaging as the lead couple, if not more so, which is unusual for dramas.

This drama is basically about the sins of the father, and the sins of long ago, coming back to bite you in the behind. You sow the seeds of your own destruction, giving power to those you think powerless. But it also is about the sacrifices we make when we choose power over love, revenge over happiness.

This is also has the best butt-kicking grandmother character ever!

My only criticism is that they play the title song, "Gloria," way too much.

The storyline for this drama is good. Okay, I'll get right to the point. I did not like the characters. So mi do is the most annoying female lead ever. Everything she did, especially throughout the second half, she was being a b****. I tried to see things from her perspective but I couldn't. I can see how it was hard for her to make a choice between Han Tae Sun and Lee Jae Hee. But the way she acted was wrong. She should've been more understanding towards Tae Sung. He had gone through so many hardships before. I felt bad for him. Also the way he is sticking to Mi Do even after what she has done. I hated him a little bit for putting up with Mi Do and forgiving her. This is one of the first dramas that I was actually rooting for the second female lead. I have a love-hate relationship with all the characters except for Chang Hee, Jae Hee's brother. He was the only character I loved throughout this show. Oh, and the bromance between Chang Hee and Tae Sung! What I love about this drama is that no character was completely good. Every character had an evil side to them, including the leads. That part of it is realistic I think. That is different from a typical kdrama in which the lead character is like 99% good. Overall, the concept was well put together.

Let me start saying I didn't watch the other remake (or even the original one) or read the novel, so it was the first drama I watched with this story that was told plenty of times. And let me say this made me want to watch everything (including the chinese original, saddly I didn't find it yet).

Scalert Heart has an overused plot, or at least that's the impression I've got after reading so many chinese novels with almost the exact same description. However, instead of China, it takes place in Goryeo and, unlike many heroines I've seen in these kind of novels, the main character seems rather docile and ingenue. Althought don't be fooled! This drama is a rollercoaster and it will make you cry more than an infant.

Let's start with the acting: what can I say except superb? I know that IU was not great at all, but at least she made a half decent job in some scenes, and her forever frightened face kind of mixed well with other scenes too. But the real star I'm talking about here is none other than Lee Joon Gi and his portrayal of the dark, traumatized and passionate Wang So. Seriously, he got me crying, smiling, squirming and cheering for him even though his decisions and actions weren't always likeable. And let me say that it's very difficult for me to feel this way about a character.

Other thing I really liked on this drama was how morally ambiguous every character was. Even some characters I didn't like from the beginning, I felt some sort of empathy for them (except Wang So's mother, that bitch). And their morally ambiguity is more than justified given how living on a palace, pratically sparring for the throne, is stressing. Really, I also liked how Hae Soo's love interest changed through episodes, which gave us a really well done love triangle. One thing I always hated on kdramas was how most of the time the second lead has no space on the female lead's heart except friendship, but this one did a good job by balancing both love interests instead of doing one-sided crushes.

The music was also addictive and made me feel warm and sad at the same time. I know it seems strange to mix such modern and upbeat music to a historical drama, but everything was mixed so well it gave me not only good additions to my playlist, but also made some scenes seem so much sweeter.

My only major complaint though, was how they dealt with Soo's time traveling and adjusting to a whole different era. It was like they began to develop it on the first few episodes, but then suddenly she was already used to everything and how everything worked. It just didn't feel realistic at all. I understand that with her more submissive, sensitive demeanor she can blend in easier, but her life suddenly changing from one thing to another was mostly handwaved.

And now to finish this review, I'll talk about the ending(spoiler free): I know many may complain about it, and I agree in some parts, but overall I think it was great. It gave me the goosebumps, made me cry a river, but still I wouldn't change a thing. That's how I feel about this drama: sure it had it's flaws, but the overall picture was so well done, it made me cry and have the feels for at least two days. Not every drama makes me like that.
