Slow episode

The good ratings are the reason I'm continuing but the first episode was very slow moving. Hoping it gets better. The magic is cute but not great so far. The story thus far is depressing.

This film needs to get a Serie ~2, as well as 3~4~5.......

First my (belated) congratulations to the whole team, all the people, that made this 'The King's Affection" performance to such an 'Grand' succes; the filming with perfect timing: the beginning of a smile, a tear, to the movements of the lips or hand(s) as well the sunbeams, the blossoms, the flowers, the trees, the historical locations; together with the excellent music as well as the singing, exactly touching the 'right ambiance'; the decors /settings- the clothing - the foodpreparations; The director and the production teamn as well as the composer: What a joy and laughter, as well as amazement to horror to watch and listen - Life in all its forms!!! What a great film this is!! So many human aspects are to be seen: Yin ~Yang. How do we "grow" as human being; do we dare to make our own path?! Do we share our love - pain - thoughts or do we keep it bottled up .... ? Do we find solutions which helps others or (mis)use our power(s) and money thru mistrusting and putting down other people? Human relations ~ Friendship ~ Love; Yeon Seon and Jung Ji-Un show how friendship can get a sturdy base and how this can grow, passing thru many challenges; thru getting to know eachother in many circumstances; their support to each other in many ways. ... What further challenges they will solve, confront....??? Swimminglessons for Jung Ji-Un and the children in the neighbourhood; sharing the herbal knowledge with Yeon Seon and the people in the neighbourhood; supporting Lee Hyun ~~~~~~~The old writings or scriptures/ calligraphic texts / Hanja ~ what a wisdom, old and new: beautifulThe topwork of this whole team - AMAZING!! Watching this film, the watcher is taken on a very challeging journey, seeing, feeling and sensing life in that time -Joseon period,Hopefully a documentary can be made as well, to give more background information. I, for one, knew and know very little of South Korea: The nature, with so many different blossoms; the Hangul Calligrafic writings - where do this wisdom come from; who is/are the writer(s); the writing about the rain, falling in the right moment - do people now, still express themselves in writing Hangul? 1. "Joseon or Chosŏn is a Korean dynasty that spanned the course of five centuries – precisely from 1392 to 1897." [Joseon - Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseon]2. 1392–1910 [https://www.britannica.com/topic/Choson-dynasty]The dices, which can help, when decisions have to be made; is this still used in South Korea and how is it called? The herbal knowledge and local artesenia would be interesing to explain, thru the use in the film in Sambuang : Although the story is fictive; did the birth of a (Royal) twin, in the history of South Korea, have such impacts??--> I'm convinced a 2nd Serie is going to come!! Also looking forward to ..3 ~ 4 ~ 5 and …….. Looking forward to an update, Greetings and Love, Moontje22

a little boring

Not gonna lie i was a little bored while watching this episode, but other than that the acting was amazing. PTSD was very well executed by XZ.again, the little clips at the end melt my heart!!

Sad

It's impossible to finish an episode with a smile on your face with this series. No idea where this is going but they've got my attention. I'm loving the three "couples". The conversation about the North Star was beautiful. Seeing Nuch leave a post-it to Metha was very cute. And last but not least, Prakan and Thuapee's hug!

Peacemaker

Episode 02 : Peacemaker. (Supposed to be piece-maker? ) This story could be interesting. Well, could be, but it's totally overdone. We got more bloody and (stupid) horror moments in this episode,

The aftermath

Apo and Mile did an amazing job to portray Porsche and Kinn's emotions and struggles following the events of the last episode and again the cinematography was absolutely on point! The mirror scene with Porsche following Kinn's betrayal was *chefs kiss* and the silence at the beginning of the episode just spoke absolute volumes! Then both characters coming together at the end and fighting together rather than against each other was one of my favourite scenes in this episode.

*Trigger warning* Beautiful cinematography

Another great episode. They have managed to transfer the novel to paper so well. Certain unneeded or outdated bits have been cut which is great and the s*x scene was full-on which is interesting to see in a Thai drama but it was very refreshing to see them pushing the boundaries and the cinematography was beautiful! Obviously, there is the issue of consent as Porsche had been drugged, although he did seem aware during the scene as he knew who he was with and had partially vomited the drugs, however, they were still in his system. The scene was not as extreme as the novel which was nice as I'm not sure that would have been cleared for TV at all even in the La Forte (uncut) version, I would say it was dubious consent at most, so please be aware before watching this episode and I believe Be On Cloud released a statement regarding it for this episode as well.

Snow on the beach!

What an episode! The sun, the light, the beach, the snow, the music, the hug, the kiss... Good. Very good.

Sloppy fanservice

The CPR scene was so unnecessary and felt the most random excuse to force “fanservice” into the show. Feels like the don’t respect viewers’ intelligence, and instead of giving us an interesting story, they’ll just add moments of “fanservice” in order to keep us watching.

Kiss doesn’t feel natural

We haven’t seen them build an actual relationship up to this point, so the kiss feels out of place.I know episodes are short, but it would have been nice to see them get to know each other to justify them suddenly being so involved.

the father got on my nerves lol

(i've had to write this damn review multiple times bc i'm kinda stupid but oh well) So far i like the leads, they're quite charming and the acting was good, i'm already familiar with the actors so their delivery wasn't a surprise. Like i said in the headline, i'm annoyed at the father's attitude, his inability to empathize with his daughter makes it very difficult for me to enjoy the character, and as you can imagine, that is the biggest reason why i didn't give it a higher rating. BTW!!!! the little clip at the end made me really happy, it was adorable! I'm looking forward to what this series has to offer :) -att: Sh <3(i also feel the need to mention that i'm watching the web series version, not the tv one (witch is a couple episodes longer, i assume bc of the cropping of the episodes) so my reviews of each episode might not align very well with the amount of episodes mdl says the show has, bc the web version is 29 episodes long).

Sweet puppy love

Another great performance by Perth. My first time seeing Fairy in action so it was refreshing and I like her acting too, very natural. I wonder if there will be a sequel as most of the characters are moving on to university. If there is, I'm looking forward to it.

Injustice in school

The plot is a simplified version of many similar themed dramas but for a one episode it flows quite well. The actors' performances were great wherever it allowed for the acting to be emphasized. I guess it must have been the director's great job done. It's almost the end of the series and so far the part that struck me the most has been the quality of the young actors' performances and the directorship that made all these simple stories so enjoyable. Some episodes had deep stories and despite the limited time in an episode, the story being told/acted out has flowed well. Those with more shallow stories were highlighted with good actors' performances. And now onward I go for the finale of this series.

Four Stars

I liked Plan's acting as usual, first watched him in Love By Chance, but in this episode the story didn't bring out the best in his acting. Perhaps the story/script is too simple compared to the earlier episodes. Overall, the actors' performances made this episode worthy.

First Impressions: An American Story

I can definitely tell that this show is American made. I don't know what it is, its just a feeling. Not bad, just a thing. The story so far is pretty sad, but not as heavy as I was expecting. From what I understand it is goint to be this woman and how she lives through these eras. I am really intrigued in the 1980's storyline and am curious to see where it goes. As for our teenage girl, I'm really excited to see where her personality has gotten over this decade. All I'm saying is that she better not fuck Lee Min Ho. He is like in his thirties and I know this is not about being PG but i just hate that kind of thing. I don't think shes going to marry him or anything but he definitely seemed interested. Also, why didn't she bow to the Japanese soldiers, and why is she living in japan when she is 80?
