Ever since filming began, I’ve been counting down the days until I could watch it. It definitely lived up to my expectations. Everything—from the techniques used in filming to the acting—was outstanding. I hope it continues this way.

estar this was such garbage - i genuinely suffered through this ep - like WTF was this sh*t?!? the only - but the ONLY genuine moment was when Phatsa cried in bed, realizing he was a bird in a golden cage. but everything else was soap opera trash writing & the scene at the end just turned this sordid - it wasn't titillating or a turn on - if anything it was a turn-off, cause it was an indicator that the writing didn't matter, same with the acting as the only thing of importance is the soft-core porno which is why the audience is here & am sure after the mains initial BL a lot of their fans r here for their erotic scenes. if this is the case i doubt i will survive till the end.

Avi As Jia Yu says herself: very satisfying action!The leads were too cute running at each other and the story between Wu Yi and his (adoptive) mother was a tearjerker. I feel so much for both of them. It was also great to see Le Jun in action. I hope this means the next arc delves into her character a bit more. The jealousy is on with Mao, lol. I wonder how effective it will have been that the emperor let him see Xie Huai Gu's true colors. It's also sweet to see Jia Yu's character progress more and more.

And they call that justice? 🤨😤 But I want to give a round of applause to Xiuyuan for finally killing Huo Yunzi! 👏Now I just have to wait until they find out who the other immortals practicing dark arts are... 🙄

KJ2025 The Princess visits Gudu garden where a young boy was injured when his brother was falsely jailed. He was recounting his story of being tricked and evidence being destroyed when the building they were in was set on fire. I gotta admit that Prince Lie made an awesome entrance to the scene to rescue her, even taking an arrow. The crown Prince wasn’t happy with this development and took a reward back from both the Princess and himself. He reveals that he knows they are up to something but says his only mission is for them to stay away from the Princess. This reveals that he has joined the unrequited love club to his two brothers. He tries to create an intimate scene with the princess about taking her medicine. She brings it right back to him countering his comments to her could be changed and/or fabricated. She makes it clear that no matter his position on things, the engagement is off. She even used her attack as an excuse to put off being married. She is trying to let the Crown Prince save face by not calling it off publicly, but he is pushing her relentlessly to accept her fate. The more he shows up, the more convinced she is of his strength and power network. He keeps using his shortened life span as a selling point, but she no longer wants to buy. His love sick poems are getting on her last nerve and she burns them for being too mushy. I think she needs a visit from the embroidered knight. He might get a better audience than the sappy Crown Prince. 😝😂Bu Shu Lin and Minister Cui find themselves arrested and then forced into labor. Both have left without permission. After an escape attempt Cui was hauled back in and Lin was captured later. They even know her identity but because she is aware of the mine and forge they want her dead. Fortunately a message got to the Princess. She and the Crown Prince have arrived at the scene the exact time Lin is to be executed when episode ends.

Mao has accepted villainy power as the best resource to gain his sister’s freedom. He has already asserted his new authority in all the wrong ways. He enjoyed beating the Cui butler’s face in with his bare hands. Here I have to give him a bit of a pass after the rude comments made referring to his mother. His next target was a fundraising stall to show gratitude with gifts to thank Princess Pingning for sacrificing herself for a peaceful alliance by marrying the general. Jia Yu and guest are sharing mechanical notes and military arms ideas. She got to the bargaining table showing the general the refined iron but what she actually offered was various farming and water mechanicals that would greatly assist in specific problems the northerners had with producing enough food for their people. The north Empress dowager discovered one she’s been looking for for two decades, Mulian YingHis location was revealed with the blue fireworks. She bargains with WuYi that she will save Princess PingNing if he delivers his guest to her. He is not convinced her story is true. She claimed they were lovers and that in her efforts to protect him, his entire clan was wiped out instead. He is the last. She wants to make amends before her heart condition kills her off. WuYi sees that as a case for mutual destruction and does not agree to provide opportunity for either of them to hurt each other. As usual JiaYu has other plans and makes a way for her would be mentor to meet the Empress dowager. It is also noted that she sees the changes in Mao and knows all about his concubines and palace plans even tho he hasn’t said a word to her. I’m glad she knows and that WuYi did not have to tell her. Tutor Xie also had a meeting with the north Empress dowager. 🧐 For as evil as her general is, she seems much kinder and more reasonable than the witch for Ye. It is not revealed what that meeting was about. But that smug look on his face just gets more dominant every episode. He is relishing the fact that his son is on board for the greater good. 😝🙄 Mao tried pleading ill, but the Empress dowager wanted him front and center for his sister’s wedding ceremony. WuYi has not made an entrance yet and the dowager mocks the princess about his absence. She looks absolutely beautiful in her wedding gown, but there is a very sad face behind the fan. To be fair, it looks like the General is honestly interested in her because of her defiant courage with the arrows. He appreciated her beauty and even had a softer look in his eyes and demeanor. The Empress dowager looks more and more wraithlike with each passing episode like her evil intent and actions are stealing her humanity from her. They are demanding Princess PingNing make the first wedding bow and she stops and turns toward the Empress dowager instead. Here is hoping WuYi, JiaYu or North Empress dowager finds a way to interrupt the ceremony. Whether or not he actually likes her, he is too sadistic to be a partner for her. The irony is the way things are headed she might be safer in the north than residing in the palace.

Mao wants a contest with WuYi and he complies. Mao accuses WuYi of liking JiaYu and he admits it. He admitted to love at first sight. The difference between them is he wanted to give JiaYu freedom of choice. Mao is unaware that WuYi has drafted his divorce decree as promised. Unlike his friend, WuYi loves her for who she is, not what he can gain from her. He sees her potential and offers her safe routes to the places she wants to go and a mentor to help her hone her skills. Mao wants her to dream about those places via books and stay shut up with him in the palace. Mao thinks he knows her best and that she would be more than happy to stay with him and kill her dreams for his sake. Even his sister chided him for being deceitful with JiaYu. WuYi is walking a tightrope between Empress dowager and northern general. He has promised the sister would not be a bargaining chip but circumstances changed that. The general is having a good time bargaining and so far is getting the best of the deal. Mao is determined to get the power he needs to stop him from taking his sister. What is incredibly sad is he doesn’t look to his friend for wisdom and strategy. He has been told by many that they would only bargain with WuYi because he has repeatedly proven himself on the battlefield and dealing with royals. Mao’s jealousy blinders are on so he heads for dad to get advice for gaining power. That traitor has already been colluding with the general because he wants the nobles to have a better power position than the military. WuYi is working behind the scene to save Mao’s sister even with the animosity he is getting from every quarter. The one surprising thing is there are no barbs from JiaYu. She is the one most like him in seeing what’s going on and understanding that WuYi’s hands are currently tied. She also recognizes he is not letting that stop him from interceding at the first possible moment. She comes as another bargainer the general didn’t expect. She is offering refining techniques that he really wants. WuYi has used the Phoenix heart to get access to the hidden visitor. Their chat reveals JiaYu is making a bargain for her friend. WuYi catches up with her at the temple and finds out what deal she made. Everybody this episode wants to make a deal. The stakes are huge and no one wants to lose any ground.

The look on Mao's face when Wuyi said it was love at first sight for him and that he didn't know about Mao and Jiayu's relationship before asking for marriage! Oh, Mao's jealousy is there, and the rift between the friends is widening. 😟But to be honest, I am actually starting to question Mao's love for Jiayu. He wants to take her to the palace because that place is more convenient for his ambitions, and he assumes him being there is enough for her happiness... But would it be? She wants to be free, travel the world, and master her crafts, not to be secluded in the palace. Not caring about her dreams won't work in Mao's favour, I think... 🙄🤨Wuyi, however, considers her feelings and dreams the most, willing to give her that freedom to choose what she wants, who she wants to be with, and how she wants to live her life, without really asking for anything in return or making any conditions... The difference between those two men. Wuyi, my heart! 🥹❤️And I have noticed those micro-hesitations when someone asks her about her future plans with Mao... 🤔 Could that mean she doesn't want to leave Wuyi that much? I think so. And at the moment, seeing what is happening with Mao, all the good cards are in Wuyi's hands. 😌😏I am not sure how they will deal with the Eagle King and Princess Pingning's political marriage, but so far, it looked like Jiayu was closer to success... but at what price? The technique Wuyi didn't want to give them? 🫣

this was a frustrating ep - 1st off why is Gang Gang such a pushover?!? even though she did so much to change herself & showed-up uninvited, her husband didn't warm to her - he wasn't happy to see her. he was surprised & cause she looked presentable he introduced her to his boss & co-workers. but after lashing out at her - why she just stand there like a moron & not walk out?!? heck if i was his co-worker i don't think i could sit there & congratulate him. i would be the one saying sorry to everyone & walking out or going over & asking Gang Gang if she was ok. the fact the next day he didn't even bother to apologize - like Gang Gang girl what r u waiting for??? u need a bigger sign that u don't exist in his life, but as a servant or tool that cleans & cooks for him??? he doesn't even want sex from u - what r u waiting for... ugh ***************************************& from one moron to the other, Su Li is taking her sweet time & i get that given what she is trying to do she can't rush anything - but given how long it was taking not shocked Shu Heng caught on - even though i call b.s. on how he found out - what any Tom Dick & Harry can walk into an office & got through confidential sh*t without anyone wondering who is this & why r they going through clients confidential papers?!? i don't buy that whole scenario. & the fact now Su Li is again gonna get played is a bit tiresome & annoying. the fact Shu Heng is calling her the wicked women is hilariously hypocritical but fitting - given how he has been behaving & wouldn't expect anything else from the likes of Ying Ying. but wanted Su Li to be smarter & not found, not after everything her husband & bff have done to her. bummer - but have a feeling this so the pot can get dragged as "they" got 10 eps to fill ugh
