Qing Feng I rarely find the last episodes of C-Dramas as interesting and meaningful as this one was. I’m a bit upset that we didn’t see more about how the 4th sister's marriage continued, but overall the end and story as a whole were both fantastic.

The acting and storylines are top notch! Kudos to actors and production crews also the director Pepzi. Love Up and Poom acting and the chemistry between is undeniable. The episode is getting more interesting and I am waiting for the next episodes to air. I love Poom dancing skills which in my opinion is difficult to do and for Up the fighting skills is a must learned and they are both absolutely brilliant. I wish all the episodes will aired in one day so that I don't have to wait long for every Friday to come

I have been observing all your reviews in every episode and other series all you do is always looking for fault to condemn the series even when the episodes are perfect you never gave good reviews. I think it's better not to review at all than always condemning the actors. Bye have a great day

Damengxiang The idea of pairing an experienced actor with a recent university graduate in one story isn't exactly groundbreaking, but in my opinion, it's exceptionally well-written and executed here. The mystery surrounding the people vanishing without a trace from a locked room and the portrayal of the neighborhood are highly entertaining. The casting is perfect, even in the smallest roles, and a huge shout-out to the petty criminals, whose performances are simply hilarious. A must-see!

Episode 7 hit me right in the feels! It was so emotional and touching that I couldn't stop the tears. The way the story unfolded and the actors portrayed their emotions was just incredible. It broke my heart but also filled it with so much warmth. Truly a masterpiece, 10/10 well deserved! 💔✨

This episode was absolutely perfect! The chemistry between the characters is incredible, and every scene was so enjoyable to watch. The storyline keeps getting better and better, and I couldn't stop smiling while watching. Definitely deserves a 10/10!

Episode 5 delivered EVERYTHING. The emotions, the pacing, the chemistry—it all felt perfectly balanced. This is the kind of episode that pulls you in from start to finish and doesn’t let go.The connection between the leads is unreal. Every look, every small interaction feels genuine and full of meaning. You don’t even need heavy dialogue because their expressions already say so much. This episode made their bond feel deeper and more real than ever.What I loved most is how natural everything felt. Nothing was forced, and the emotional moments hit exactly where they should. It’s rare to get an episode where every scene matters, but this one did it.Honestly, 10/10. This is the standard. If the next episodes keep this level, this series is going to be unforgettable.

This episode has the ML consistently being a really awful person. First he tries to get pushy with Grandma in his effort to get control of Xing’anli. Then he totally ignores her when she's giving him critical, cautionary advice. Then he spends most of the rest of the episode alternating between arrogant, cruel and ignorant. We are 12 episodes in now. Is it time for him to start to magically transform into someone we can believe that the FL would have a relationship with?

nafisa Yian is worried for yiyun since he has to do a ceremony all alone as yian was having a few days off, and eventually his nephew (yiyun) calls him and asks him to come since he was so NERVOUS AND IT WAS SO CUTE and huiju received and award at the ceremony. Later on huiju and jeongu meet and he congratulates her AND WE GET BACK TO A FLASHBACK WHEN HE USED TO LIKE HER ALL THE WAY BACK FROM HIGH SCHOOL IT SO CUTE BUT HUIJU AND YIAN WAY BETTER AND AFTER THE CEREMONY, YIAN GETS A FEVER AND HIS CONDITION WORSENS SO HE’S IN HIS HOTEL ROOM ONLY FOR HIS AIDE, HYEON, TO BUMP INTO HUIJU AND SHE BOUGHT SUBWAY FOR HYEON SUNCE HE WAS WORKING SO HARD ONLY FOR YIRANG TO WALK AND EVENTUALLY FINDS HUIJU AND USES THIS TO CREATE A SCANDAL SO THE PEOPLE WOULD HATE YIAN AND HUIJU’S REPUTATION WOULD BE FINISHED, GETTING YIRANG’S SON, THE KING (YIYUN) ONTO THE SPOTLIGHT. And poor yian, his brother wanted to abdicate from the throne, since he wanted to rather leave the throne than experience the humility of dying and loosing the throne, and yirang got angry and threw the official notice of his abdication after using a nearby candle to burn it and throw to the floor, and after the late king (yiyun’s father and yian’s brother) dies from a fire so I THINK YIRANG CAUSED IT AND THE REASON WHY SHE WANT’S YIYUN TO BE THE SPOTLIGHT IS BECAUSE SHE DOESNT WANT HIM TO BE WEAK LIKE HIS FATHER AND POOR YIAN HAS INSOMNIA AND NIGHTMARE BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED. And so since Huiju was going to be the scapegoat of the scandal since it obviously couldn’t be the crown prince, yian offers her to chance for her to ask if anything from him, where she then asks for them to get married and HE SAYS YESSS.

MatchaGrnTLatte I was a bit scared with this fight because I thought somehow it would be rigged against Yan Yun Zhi and Zhuo Wen Yuan would surely win, but then the C-drama gods swooped in and proved me wrong! K-dramas are the ones that like to frustrate you and make you sad, but c-dramas are usually fair hahaha. I'm so glad Deputy won!!! And the dad wasn't too much of an ass ab it. woah wtf. Zhuo Wen Yuan really tried to purposefully get close to Sang Qi on her first freaking day in the archive. Her face literally dropped when she realized what he was doing. He deserves death. He isn't gonna stop trying to be with her and that's a red flag in itself. Zhuo wen YUAN THIS FREAKING NASTY HO he fr had his servant lock them in the archive???? Nasty crusty musty ASSS ajsjfjkffllfsjkglh AGHHHHHH OMG DEPUTY CHIEF REALLY DID THAT YESSSSSSSSS Fuck him up!!!! Awe I love their love. Also the actress for miss song is so pretty, but the character is so annoying lmao. I always forget her brother is the song guy that Yan Yan hates.

In this episode, after perhaps feeling like his hand was caught in the cookie jar for so coldly and cruelly abusing Mai Chenghuan's personal life and tossing her reputation in the scrapper, Yao Zhi Ming goes running to see Grandma Chen Zhu Shen, obviously hoping to preempt being ratted out by anyone for his misbehavior. But he's a fool because even though FL did NOT come crying to grandma and did NOT rat him out, it is painfully clear that Grandma knows all about the naughty crap that he did. She reads her grandson like an open book. He tries to justify it with some truly arrogant bulls--t lines such as, "Mai Chenghuan hasn't been through thick and thin." and "Her integrity may be questionable." and most laughable, "I guess I taught her a lesson today." Each such unbelievably stupid line just digs his grave deeper though Granny stays cool as a cucumber as she very gently corrects and scolds him, with the only remotely harsh thing she says being a very soft but ominous, "You'll suffer for how you have treated her." Wow. That line should give him serious pause.

This episode brings a lot of the current threads to a climax and aside from many other things that happen, it's made clear to the FL, Mai Chenghuan, that the ML, Yao Zhi Ming, is a lying, manipulative schemer who has been cruelly exploiting her personal life and willing to ruin her reputation in order to carry out his schemes. I guess this is a popular drama trope in a lot of c-dramas, to have the ML start out as a total a--hole who magically is transformed into a great, lovable romantic partner later on. So unrealistic. In the real world, if someone is so clearly lacking in morals as to act like this ML has so far, he isn't likely to change.

I am so proud of my Sang Qi for fighting and not giving up! F*** misogyny!!! Sang Qi can and will become an official. And Deputy saying "Even if I have to risk my position, I'll help you get the title you deserve." SEE THAT IS WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO ZHUO. Deputy believed in her from the beginning, and treated her like an EQUAL, and NEVER expected anything in return. Whereas Zhuo offers his help so she'll fall in love with him. Nasty crusty musty. Anyway... I LOVE LIAN PIAN AND YAN YAN, they are actually the cutest together, I love the actors, they have amazing chemistry, and I love their storyline. Oh my god. I almost cried wow. Deputy Chief, LITERALLY like NEXT DAY went to see the KING and personally request an appointment for Sang Qi, and THE KING already had HER APPOINTMENT WRITTEN UP IM CRYINGGGG SO BAD EVERYONE WANTS HER TO SUCCEED!!!! And the fact Deputy already thought about the position and everything!!!! WOMENNNNNNNNNN!!!! 💕💕💕 Omg Deputy's face when Bai Shi asked him if he wanted to say hi to Miss Su. NO HESITATION when Deputy's mom said she won't allow him to marry Sang Qi, "I'll leave this family and make my own then," IKTRRRR! Ugh so the appointment was because of Zhuo Wen Yan... Sang Qi you need to cut him off fr. YOOOOOOOOO SANG QI MAD ASFFF AT MISS SU!!! BEAT HER UP GIRL JUMP HER!!!! She really said oh hey girl invite me when you go to my future mother-in-law's house and oh ya take me home too so we can have a chat ho! Woahhh Miss Su saying, "But I knew Yun Zhi first," is so reminiscent of Zhuo's love for Sang Qi. He always uses the *childhood friends* card , "I knew her first," and like Sang Qi says, there's no such thing as who came first when it comes to love. Bruhhhh I started DYING LAUGHING when Sang Qi rubbed her hands together and said, "Father, if you won't accept it, I will." AND THEN NASTY ZHUO WALKS IN ugh this get BUG off my SCREEN!!! YORBUAEHFIAFHEWE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON SANG QI AND HER DAD ARE GONNA FIGHT?!?!?!?!? but also the dad is so fcking dumb for tryna accept Zhuo's dumbass envelope are you kidding me?! You said you would allow your daughter the choice and you choose a literal villian that is killing people?!?!? I'm still dying at the fact that she is going to literally fight her father for her love like wtf. Such a progressive storyline I'm getting whiplash with these marriage storylines being so traditional, "I will decide who you marry." Okay Also----- IS IT not at ALL embarrassing (ZHUO WEN YUAN) that the woman you want to marry, doesn't even wanna marry you?!?---- Umm okay last thoughts, I feel like there is a correlation between the plants they found with that horrible scent and miss song's nasty perfume. I'm wondering if the scent is gonna throw Deputy off... :(

So far in this drama, the list of likable characters is pretty tiny. Mai Chenghuan and her brother, Mai Chengzhou, Grandma Mai, Mao Mao and maybe He Dong and maybe Mai Laitian. Other than that, most other characters are either idiotic to the point of being toxic or downright malicious. You will note that the ML, Yao Zhi Ming, is not on the list of likable characters. And in fact his actions so far are borderline villain as he's not only clearly trying to con grandma into giving him control over Xing’anli buy also is coldly and cruelly exploiting Mai Chenghaun's personal life as part of his scheme. At some point, the show will need to start to do some sort of rehabilitation arc to make him at least mildly sympathetic as a romance interest because so far he's just an insufferable, arrogant scheming jerk.
